Laurel MacTire and her sisters have a successful business of renovating and flipping old hotels. This time they might have bitten off more than the can chew. The hotel is claimed to be haunted, the town is filled with unmated shifter wolf males and CJ has an undeniable pull toward Laurel. So, why take on this hotel? The ladies know that their long lost aunt disappeared years ago while visiting their newest project. They are keeping their ears and eyes wide open, hoping to find out what happened. Is their aunt the ghost that haunts their hotel? Can the local pack be trusted? Trusted or not, the bottom line for the pack is she wolves have moved into town and all the unmated males are about to come sniffing around.

A Silver Wolf Christmas is another wonderful shifter romance from Terry Spear, a fun, fast, and a delightfully charming Christmas based read. More romance, less wolf story, this little gem is just in time for the Holiday Season.

~ 4.5 Silver Wolf Stars ~

I LOVED it! I wait with baited breath for each new installment in Terry Spear’s Heat of the Wolf series. The best part about Ms. Spear’s books is that you can pick the latest up or start somewhere in-between and you don't feel like you have missed anything. The author does a great job of filling you in on the world she has created.

A Silver Wolf Christmas takes you into a world of shifters, mystery, and romance.

This was such a sweet romance. I loved Connor and Laurel. They were an adorable couple and complemented each other. I like that Connor took his time and got Laurel to be comfortable with the Pack and him. We also get a fabulous mystery with a ghost wolf, a haunted inn, and an Aunt gone missing. I was captivated and enthralled by the mystery weaved. I absolutely loved it and did not see the plot twist of where the author was going with the mystery, until it happened. The story also has a very Christmasy feel to it. It’s centered around Christmas time and I loved getting into the Christmas spirit. I also enjoyed returning to Silver Town and all of its wolves.

If you have not yet had a chance to read this series, you should get started. It is well worth the time. Ms. Spears is a fantastic writer and her shifter world is wonderful done.

Get ready to enjoy Christmas in Silver Town. Terry Spear tones down the wolf and spotlights the romance in A Silver Wolf Christmas. For those of you who love a romantic and fun holiday read, shifter lover or not, this is one of those reads that it doesn’t matter if your characters howl at the moon, or run with the pack.

Laurel and her sisters are renovating the old town hotel. The pack thinks they will pledge to them and stay, but these women are always on the run, keeping to themselves, plus they have a secret quest of their own. Who knew one alpha male would see his mate in Laurel? CJ is everything a she-wolf could want, and actually they all do want him, except for Laurel, who has too many secrets and too much pain in her past to trust anyone. Can this hot charmer break through her aloof barriers? Everyone sees what Laurel refuses to admit, but the hotel and her quest take precedence, especially when three wolves show up to claim what they say is theirs, the hotel. So many secrets, so much deceit, and at a time of year when love and happiness should fill the air, what surprises will Christmas bring this year? Will they be dreams come true or lumps of blackened coal?

Terry Spears has filled each page with her usual talent for bringing fantasy to life, making it feel real! This time out she focuses on the mystery, the romance and the holiday season and she has done a marvelous job of creating the sights, sounds and smells of a winter wonderland. Start your holiday reading off with a touch of fantasy, a touch of romance and a few happy tail wags!

Laurel MacTire’s renovation of the abandoned hotel has attracted the attention of ghosthunters, so Laurel will have to turn to CJ Silver for help in hiding the existence of werewolves in this delightful paranormal romance.

CJ is only too eager to help in any way he can, especially if it means it he gets to spend more time with Laurel and the reader can’t help but get caught up in all the excitement that flows from the pages when CJ and Laurel get a holiday treat. CJ’s pursuit of Laurel is sweet full of sizzling chemistry but Laurel has a few secrets that cause some issues along the way and these strong, captivating wolves demand that you pay attention while the fast paced and smooth flowing plot delights readers with lots of suspense, excitement and romance.

Anticipation builds as Laurel and her sisters prepare for the opening of the hotel but they have a secret agenda that has suspense building throughout the story and spine tingling tension and excitement builds when that agenda collides with the secret agenda of the ghosthunters and brings an age old mystery to light creating a bit of electrifying intrigue. Vivid imagery comes to life with well written scenes and details while the suspense draws the reader in and refuses to let go until the mystery has been solved.

This visit with the Silver Town pack sure was exciting with unexpected twists and a delightfully charming romance topped off with holiday cheer. The McTire sisters and the Silver brothers have certainly added some excitement to the town and just let me say…that the brothers are four kinds of sexy you don’t want to miss and I can’t wait for the next Heart of the Wolf story.

I wasn't sure how this one would go due to all the secrets that the MacTire sisters were keeping and the way that they kept trying to keep their distance from all the pack members. I really liked that CJ didn't let that stop him from trying to court Laurel. That determination seemed to pay off for CJ because Laurel started to soften to CJ which led to them having a date and Laurel letting the pack in on what brought the sisters to Silver Town.

It was here things became interesting. Lots of intrigue, lots of secrets held by the older generation. I was a bit surprised by how everything came out, but do think it was the best for all those involved and the town.

Welcome to Christmas wolf shifter style! Spear creates an exciting and fun story that kept me on my toes while taking me deep into the world of her unforgettable characters. The underlying current of mystery had me trying to puzzle it out while also enjoying my foray into this wolfy world. She uses descriptions to advantage, developing characters you can picture & feel as if you know, and settings that come to life, but leaving room for your imagination to run wild in this fantastic world. Spear develops her concept of wolf shifters well. She really lets readers know what it means to be one, how the pack works, and other cultural details.

Laurel’s questioning and secretive nature combines with her need to let loose and be a wolf. CJ’s persistence was so perfectly man infatuated meets wolf gets what he wants. He was the perfect hero for Laurel’s story and a great sub-leader for the pack. The intriguing family and pack dynamics show just how close the cast of characters in this novel are. I love how many of the wolf shifters try to explain way anything supernatural, refusing to believe in the possibility. Also, the way that they keep humans from moving into the areal made me giggle.

Spear has definitely created a welcoming Christmas novel with a spooky feel at times that really makes the story stand out. It’s a great addition to the series and also a novel that can be read as a standalone. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.

CJ and Laurel are the featured couple in this Christmas romance set in Silver Town. I've read several books in this series and it's an enjoyable read. The Wolfpack is happy the boarded up hotel is opening for guests and the three brothers are ecstatic the three she-wolf sisters are staying in town. Some previous questions are answer and as always the wolves are hot and sexy.

A fun, fast-paced, paranormal love story brimming with enchantment, secrets, and treachery in a snowy setting.

A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS by Terry Spear is an entertaining holiday-themed shifter-romance in her addictive Silver Town Wolf series which focuses on a pack of wolves residing in Silver Town, Colorado. This tale is tinged with a bit of mystery over the town's restored haunted hotel, apparitions, missing wolves and three new sexy she-wolves. It is the story of C.J. Silver and Laurel MacTire.

As soon as CJ sees Laurel, he desires her as his mate. CJ is a sexy charmer popular with all the she-wolves, except Laurel, who has shunned his advances. He even volunteered to help with the hotel's renovation, but she turned him away. Now there's some human ghost-hunters in town and his pack leader has assigned CJ to keep an eye on them so they don't discover anything more than ghosts. That requires CJ to temporarily stay at the hotel with the ladies. Will this role serve to be the ice-breaker to Laurel's aloofness?

Laurel MacTire and her two sisters have discovered their niche in renovating and flipping old hotels. However, this is the first haunted hotel they've renovated and it's the first time their fixer-upper has been located in a town filled with so many hunky unmated shifter wolves. The sisters had an ulterior motive for committing to this particular hotel as their next project as their beloved aunt's last missive years ago was postmarked from this hotel and they would like to find out what happened to her. However, their mission to solve her mysterious disappearance is made more difficult because they don't know who they can trust in Silver Town. They're sure hoping that their aunt is not the ghost that's haunting the hotel.

It always brings a smile to my face to catch up with the pack as many of my favorite characters from the previous books returned in this installment.

Even though A Silver Wolf Christmas is the fifth installment in Terry's Silver Town Wolf series, it can easily be enjoyed as a standalone if that is your preference. I should also mention that her Silver Town Wolf series is incorporated into her Heart of the Wolf series; It's the seventeenth book in that series which encompasses all of Terry's books featuring wolf shifters.

A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS is a fun, fast-paced, Christmassy paranormal love story brimming with enchantment, secrets, treachery and romance in a snowy setting. Because it integrates a haunted hotel, eerie phenomenon and ghosts, I think it fits well with Halloween too. Regardless, you can rest assured that Terry will bring the fantasy to life. I highly recommend A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS to anyone who enjoys paranormal romances! I sure wish I had a sexy wolf like CJ teaching me to ski!

Warning: This tale made me crave perfectly prepared hash browns, cocoa with marshmallows on top and seven-layer chocolate cake!

I should have liked this book. Shifters. My favorite paranormal. Christmas. Always a favorite. And it's set in a fictions Colorado mountain town that sounds very much like a real town that I love. Said town in about an hours drive from my house and is a favorite place of mine. So I should have liked this book. I didn't.

I was reading an ARC. When you read advanced copies, it's normal to see editing errors that end up fixed for the final copy. I have no issue with that. But major plot holes are rare in ARCs, at least that has been my experience. But I couldn't get past some of those holes in this book.

There were several things that felt inconsistent and confusing. Attitudes that changed rapidly, dates that seemed to not work, emphasis placed on things that turned out to be nothing - all just bugged me.

This is book 17 in a series that lots of people have enjoyed but I'm not one of them. This is the first book I've read in the series and I just felt like the joke was on me. I was missing something because the whole feel of the book fell flat for me. I didn't enjoy the whole feel of it.

I didn't care for the sisters much. They were standoffish, keeping secrets and inconstant. In one breath they were giving Lauren the stink eye for her letting C.J. help get the hotel ready and in the next they were trying to convince her they should stay and settle down. And Lauren can't stop encouraging C.J. despite trying to discourage him. Made my head swim.

C.J. was a good guy. He was persistent and kind. He never let Lauren's lack of interest discourage him. Having decided who he wanted, he stayed the course. I liked that. I, also, liked the make-out session after their night run. And his protectiveness - liked that.

I just didn't like enough of this one to enjoy it. I can't recommend it.

Review featured on www.books-n-kisses.com

I enjoyed this story. It is set at Christmas but I wouldn’t exactly say it is a holiday story. But it is still an enjoyable shifting story with a bit of a different kind of paranormal and a bit of suspense.

In the beginning I had a bit of a problem with this book. CJ seemed like a teenager with his first crush. He was written very young but as the book moved forward he seemed to change into a man and not a teen. I liked Laurel right off. She is the alpha of her three sisters and seems really mature which is why I couldn’t see her and CJ together at first.

We learn that the girls are in town for more than renovating the old hotel and it begins to feel a little like a ghost story. Is there is a ghost wolf? A haunted hotel? And what happened to the previous owners and the girls aunt?

After I got more into the book I enjoyed it more. The beginning was a bit rough and I did have a bit of a problem with how quickly to the reader the romance happened. It seemed like one day they were interested in each other but distant and the next they were dating and then mated. It just seemed fast to me. But as the book moved on the romance became more real to them I enjoyed it more. The suspense part was an added enjoyment. As I said I don’t know that I would call this a Christmas story even though it is brought up a few times but as a fan of paranormal romance you will enjoy it no matter what time of year it is.

ARC REVIEW

A Silver Wolf Christmas is book 17 in the Heart of the Wolf Universe written by Terry Spear. Amazingly this is the first book of hers I have ever read and now I'm sad that I have been missing this series. I feel like I have been missing out on it and really want to read the series in it's entirety, but this book is just fine to be read as a stand alone, I'm just one of those that hates reading the series out of order.

C.J. Silver is such a sweet guy, he was already head over heals for Laurel he just has to wait until she is read for his courtship. Laurel MacTire and her sisters are there for a reason, they love buying and restoring old buildings but that's not the only reason. But for the first time the MacTire sisters are in a pack they are slowly learning the dynamics of living in a pack and two out of three of them are ready to settle down. Laurel, however, is scared that after they learn the real reason they is there the pack will turn on them.

But when things start to happen right before the grand opening for the Inn the alpha of the pack assigned C.J. to help protect the sisters and their Inn. The ghost stories and the appearance of "ghost hunters" just complicates everything. The more time C.J. and Laurel spend together the harder it is for Laurel to keep from liking him. Now the pack is making bets to see when the mating will happen.

Overall, this was a good read. It was exciting and sweet. It is a very good ghost story mystery.

I enjoyed this holiday paranormal romance. It had a good plot with plenty of action and incorporating all the Christmas trimmings was a nice touch. The ending was particularly exciting with lots of unexpected twists. Wolf shifter Laurel and her sisters are opening a newly renovated hotel and deputy C.J. from the local wolf shifter pack is anxious to help so he can spend time with her.

First off, you do not need to read the previous books to enjoy this really good Christmas werewolf romance. There seem to be couples from previous books in the story, but you don't need to know their story to enjoy this one.

The three MacTire sisters were a little hard to keep separated at times. Being introduced to them in such quick succession made them all sort of roll into one for me and it took awhile before I was able to separate them into their own individuals. They have very similar personalities, maybe they become more distinct in later books? I did love them. I loved their tenacity in trying to find their aunt, and how loyal they were to each other - with just enough bickering to keep it a little interesting.

C.J. was all big bad wolf - in a good way. Willing to anything to prove to Laurel that he's the right wolf for her, he goes out of his way to make her feel at home in Silver Town. Their little adventure/dates were soooo much fun. I wish I could do every single one of them. I could really see their connection. It grew in a very natural way, which can sometimes be hard to find in a romance book. They became friends, then lovers, then more. I loved it.

The mystery surrounding the inn, the sisters, and the ghost hunter wasn't so much fun. At times it was a little hard to follow. There were just enough creepy and scary moments to add that nice element to the story though. I really liked the little twist at the end for the ghost story - it was a really nice finishing touch.

Another awesome book in Terry Spear's world of wolf shifters. Three sisters buy a hotel in Silver Town to renovate an old hotel and open it for business. The pack is eager to welcome the MacTire sisters. CJ Silver who, with his brothers, has recently returned to Silver Town is also eager to welcome them, especially Laurel. However, the sisters keep their distance as their real reason for being in Silver Town is to investigate the disappearance of their aunt, Clarinda. The hotel is supposedly haunted and they have problems throughout the renovation. The painters they'd hired even walked off the job. The day before opening, three brothers who have a ghost hunting TV show, come to the hotel claiming to be descendants of the hotel owner, John Wernicke, who disappeared just before Clarinda. They tell Laurel the hotel rightfully belongs to them. They also want to come in before opening to get some pictures. There's a few mysteries involved including that of a mysterious white wolf who is seen in one particular area. Can CJ and Laurel solve these mysteries so they can move on with their lives?

I own every book in this series and love every one. Saying that, this is an excellent addition to the series and I love the fact that this is about the original wolf pack in the US. Don't get me wrong I love the Highlander tangent in the series, but after the last few books in the series being about the highlanders it's great to get back to the original pack! I was happy this story was about the three sisters who bought the hotel and to learn more about them and their reasons for moving to town. The mystery, action and action are as great as all the others in the series and won't disappoint! CJ and Laurel are a cute couple and all the secondary characters add a good dynamic and some fun. I highly recommend this book and don't worry it'd be a great stand alone if you haven't read the previous 16 books!

I wasn’t supposed to be reading, but as soon as I started I was hooked. There were just so many story elements that were included that created a great story. I was throughly impressed between the balance of the romance and the mystery. I was throughly invested in both storylines that interweaved and connected to have a complete story.

I loved that this was a shifter romance. I loved seeing pack dynamics and relationships. Admittedly it was hard to keep people straight and how they were related to C.J., but I did enjoying seeing the players involved as well as the mates. I loved the cute moments when C.J. and Laurel shifted to their wolves and how they “fought” with one another. I loved the amount of affection they showed to one another as wolves. I loved seeing them form that mate bond that they had both being needing. It was just cool to see all that play out.

I loved the romance in this story. There was quite a lot and not just when they were in wolf form either. They had these cute, sweet, and adorable moments. I loved when he taught Laurel how to ski. I loved them building a snow wolf in front of the hotel. I loved them cuddling and falling asleep together while watching a movie. It was so great to see all the courting and wooing going on.

On the other side of the spectrum, they had some very steamy moments. Their kisses just lit the words on fire. When they got to sexy times, after great build up by way, that just was an inferno. It was so hot when they finally became mated for the first time. It was delicious. I loved it and all the love scenes after that.

The development and build up of their relationship was perfection. I loved the steady build up that just upped in intensity the more time they spent together. The tension was glorious, but they also were genuinely trying to get to know each other and understand one another, which was beautiful. I liked that they did what that felt was right for them at certain moments. They took their time before going there with one another. I really appreciated that.

The suspense that was in the story was spot on. I was immediately sucked into that storyline. I was trying to figure out what was happening. I had a few guesses along the way, which I was partially right about. There was a lot happening with disappearing people and ghosts and whatnot. There were quite a few twists and turns that happen that were shocking and I didn’t see coming. Some of it just had my jaw dropping.

I loved all the Christmas elements in here. It felt like Christmas without being overloaded. There were nice touches here and there that gave me the Christmas spirit. I loved the end Christmas scene with C.J. and Laurel, which was both naughty and nice. I loved it.

My one complaint was that the middle dragged a little bit. Now it was partially because I was just ready for answers, and it seemed to take forever to get there. It was meant to give context and clues, but it slowed the pacing considerably. I wasn’t a fan of that.

Overall, this book surprised me in all the best ways. I wasn’t expecting that it was going to be this complicated and complex, but it was what I loved about it. The balance between the romance and suspense was sublime. I wasn’t expecting this much romance in the way that it was here. It was such a great romance that was utterly beautiful. I just enjoyed it so much. I will definitely will be checking this author again.

That was pretty good but a little bit confusing 2. CJ just needs 2 convince Lural that he's the 1 4 her and 2 help her with anything she or sisters might need. After trying 2 get answers about her aunt can she ever give up without knowing the truth if she's even dead or still alive? Between all of them hopefully they will get a few unanswered questions answered about the past. Read and find out what happens.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 6, 2015

C.J. Silver is eager to help the new she-wolves in town renovate the old hotel in time for the holidays, especially if it means spending time under the mistletoe with the alluring Laurel MacTire.

The bustle in the long abandoned hotel attracts the attention of human ghosthunters out to prove the place haunted, but the bigger problem is keeping them from discovering the werewolves in Silver Town. CJ and Laurel have to pull the wool over everyone’s eyes. Working together is a surprisingly hot holiday treat for two attractive and clever wolf shifters.

•••••••••••

REVIEW: 3.75 stars---A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS is the seventeenth installment in Terry Spear's contemporary, adult Heart of the Wolf paranormal romance series. This is silver wolf shifter CJ Silver, and wolf Laurel MacTire's storyline. A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from dual third person perspectives A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS focuses on Laurel MacTire and her two sisters (Meghan and Ellie) as they endeavor to renovate a haunted Victorian hotel in Silver Town-a town run and owned by the Silver Wolf Pack and their alpha Darien. But the sisters are in Silver Town for another reason-their mother's sister Clarinda's last known whereabouts was at this particular hotel, and Clarinda has not been seen or heard from in years. As the storyline progresses Laurel finds herself attracted to the local deputy sheriff who has been assigned to 'protect the sisters' and 'investigate' the appearance of a 'ghost busting' trio who claim to have a connection to the previous owners of the hotel, and in this the trio is demanding the title and deed.

A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS has a large ensemble cast of characters including CJ's extended family, the Silver Wolf Pack, friends, acquaintances and anyone who has a connection to or business with the Silver Town wolves. Along with CJ and his brothers, the MacTire sisters examine the town's history using photographs and stories in the hopes of uncovering the truth about their missing aunt, a ghost wolf, and the possibility of a love triangle that went very horribly wrong.

The relationship between CJ and Laurel is one of mutual and immediate attraction but Laurel and her sisters had never intended to remain in Silver Town once the whereabouts of their aunt was uncovered. Not only is Laurel beginning to fall in love with CJ but Meghan and Ellie may have found their future mates with CJ's brothers. The $ex scenes are romantic but limited; there is no over-the-top graphic erotic imagery.

The world building continues to focus on the pack dynamics, friendships and business adventures. The Silver Town wolves are a close knit group that protects their own.

A SILVER WOLF CHRISTMAS is a fast paced, fun read; a sexy storyline about family, discovery and loss. Terry Spear writes an entertaining series about shifters, their loves and their happily ever afters. The characters are well developed, charismatic and colorful; the premise is evenly paced with interesting twists; the romance is sexy and cute.

A Silver Wolf Christmas (Heart of the Wolf #17) by Terry Spear
Sourcebooks Casablanca; 2015
Romance (Paranormal); 384 pgs

Along with the more contemporary and historical stories set during the Holiday season, I could not resist adding in a paranormal one as well, this one involving a wonderful little town run by werewolves. A Silver Wolf Christmas is actually my first novel by Terry Spear, and although it is seventeenth in the series, I had no trouble jumping right in. If anything, I am even more curious about some of the minor characters in the novel, wanting to know their backstories.

Laurel MacTire and her sisters are putting the final touches on the old Victorian Inn in preparation for their grand opening. The three women have made a living of turning hotels around, buying and fixing them up, opening them for business, and then moving on to the next project. They have an ulterior motive for coming to Silver Town, however. Several years ago, their aunt had disappeared from there with no word to her own sister or her nieces. Fearing foul play, Laurel and her sisters are determined to find out just what happened to their Aunt Clarinda. As a result, they have made a point of not getting too close to the pack that runs Silver Town. One or several of the members could be responsible.

The pack is more than excited to have the three sisters in their town and want nothing more than to make them comfortable in hopes they will stay. No one wants this more than C.J. who has fallen for the lovely red-headed Laurel. As one of the deputy officers in town, he is assigned by the pack leader to watch over the MacTires when they learn ghosthunters with a television show will be staying at the hotel upon its grand opening. The discovery of possible ghosts in the inn would be one thing, but to discover a whole town of werewolves . . . Well, that would be bad.

Both C.J. and Laurel are well matched, both a bit stubborn. Laurel has long take care of herself and her sisters, and C.J. respects her need for independence and space. I liked how their relationship evolved naturally over the course of the book. It is obvious they both had feelings for each other going into the book, but Laurel was cautious given the circumstances and uncertainty of whether she and her sisters would stay.

Along with the romance (C.J. can teach me to ski any time--because he is so patient, of course), there was the mystery aspect, which turned out to be quite intriguing. From the ghosthunters who weren't quite what they seemed, the haunted happenings in the inn and around Silver Town to the missing aunt and hints of murder, there was quite a bit going on in this novel.

Things wrapped up a little too nicely--and perhaps too quickly where certain characters were involved--but, all in all, A Silver Wolf Christmas felt like a fun romp in the snow.

There are new she-wolves in Silver Town – and the male shifter population is sitting up and taking notice. Yet the MacTire sisters are in town with one purpose – find out what really happened to their aunt. By buying and renovating the old hotel where it’s said a ghost haunts they’ve taken the first step because some say that ghost is their aunt, and these ladies want answers.

Unfortunately the allure of ghosts not only bring the sisters to town, but ghosthunters as well. Humans who may be looking for spirits or something else. But the last thing the shifters of Silver Town need is for those human ghosthunters to discover what really lives in this town… and the residents have nothing to do with hauntings.

Laurel and C. J. spend a lot of time together investigating the haunting, sidestepping ghosthunters and discovering that two sexy wolf shifters have more than an old mystery to draw them together.

I adore Terry Spear’s shifter novels. However, I’ve not reviewed any for some odd reason – and there is an entire shelf over there in my bookcase full of this series… hmm. A project for 2016 it seems.

A Silver Wolf Christmas takes us back to the original pack’s territory. Hey, I love a man or a wolf in a kilt, but it’s good to go back sometimes. :) Laurel and C. J. simply heat up the pages merely by appearing on them. This couple is hot, for each other and together. But while the romance is steaming they also have a mystery to solve. An intriguing history to learn about and pesky human ghostbusters to distract.

If you haven’t gotten caught up in the Heart of the Wolf series yet, no worries. Any of the books in this series could be read out of order, Ms Spear always makes a point to weave some history of the series into the current story. Of course, if you read them in order you’re going to get a better overall view of the dynamics of the pack and it’s members – but should you pick up a story when you’re still new to the series, you will not be lost. And that is a sign of a really good author’s planning and imagination, in my opinion.

Spend some time with the shifters of Silver Town this Christmas. You’ll find a fascinating storyline, engaging and sexy characters as well as a well build world where these people live, love and exist so naturally. Since I love the series I may be a tad biased – but I believe that should you love Paranormal Romance and you haven’t picked up this series yet then A Silver Wolf Christmas would be a great present you give to yourself this year. I’m betting that if you try one you’ll be searching for the rest of the series real soon. I’d highly recommend this Christmas novel full of shifters, mystery and romance.

"A Silver Wolf Christmas" by Terry Spear. Book 17 in the Heart of the Wolf series. Book 5 in the Silver Town Wolf series (series within the Heart of the Wolf series).

I loved this addition to the Heart of the Wolf series! The title can be a bit deceiving because you think the story focuses on Christmas, but it doesn't. The story happens around the time of Christmas, obviously in the winter and sets up the feel of the book really well. The main characters are CJ (Connor James) and Laurel.

CJ has been interested in Laurel ever since she and her two sisters have moved into Silver Town six months ago and bought the town's hotel to renovate. They have refused help from any wolf and have stayed apart from the pack, keeping to themselves and the hotel. CJ knows Laurel and her sisters don't usually stay in one place for long because buying and renovating hotels is their business and keeps them moving all the time. But he's not giving up. If CJ can only convince Laurel that staying in Silver Town is right for her and her sisters, he would be a very happy wolf. Laurel is the one for him, but she's also keeping something from him. If she needs his help, he'll give it and hopefully convince her to stay at the same time.

Laurel and her sisters are on a mission. They are trying to find out what happened to their aunt who disappeared years ago. The trail has lead to Silver Town being the last place her aunt was seen in the very hotel they just bought. Silver Town has been nice and welcoming but she and her sisters have been keeping their distance because how are they supposed to trust any of these wolves if one of them may be responsisble for her aunt's disappearance? Or maybe even her death? One wolf in particular, the handsome Deputy Sheriff CJ has made is clear that he's interested in her as a mate. But can she really trust him? Can she tell him why she's really in Silver Town?

LOVE LOVE LOVE this story! It reads like a mystery novel with twists and turns, deception and revelations. So much fun to read! CJ and Laurel are so cute together! And sexy too! The playfulness they have with each other is awww worthy. The title may be "A Silver Wolf Christmas" by Christmas doesn't actually happen until the end of the book and it was a great way to bring together all the bits and pieces of the storyline to a very satisfying ending.

I just loved this one! Can't wait to read the next book!

A Silver Wolf Christmas by Terry Spear is the seventeenth installment in the Heart of the Wolf series.

A Silver Wolf Christmas might be late in a series, but each book can stand on its own. While having read many (but not all) of the books in the series I recognized some of the characters. Knowing the background of side characters and the werewolf pack add a second layer of enjoyment to the story, but it is not necessary to dive into and enjoy this (or any) installment of the series.

C.J. is a good guy doing his part to keep the town, and his pack, running smoothly. The addition of three eligible sisters to the community is welcome, especially because of the chemistry between him and Laurel. He wants nothing more than to get to know Laurel, but she has other plans. Laurel and her sisters are trying to figure out what happened to her aunt years ago in the Silver Town. Buying and taking on the hotel she is rumored to have been living in is the best way they have to find the truth. However, the community has been very welcoming and the girls do not know who to trust. If something horrible happened to their aunt then it happened ere, and it was likely done by someone with family still in town. Meanwhile, a trio of ghost hunters are sniffing around the hotel with their own agenda. With all that going on with the sparks between Laurel and C.J. help or hurt the search for the full truth?

A Silver Wolf Christmas is a solid read, and while long time fans of the series will relish the return to Silver Town, I barely remember the last time the series brought me here. I really enjoyed the main characters, and the introduction to many new to me characters. There is plenty of new ground to cover in this series, and I enjoy the balance of connected stories and the ability for each book to also stand well on its own.

Terry Spear spends a lot of her time researching her wolves and because she does we have been given this wonderful series. A Silver Wolf Christmas is her 17th in the Heart of a Wolf Series and like so many of her books, is sheer joy.

What Ms. Spear does so well is connections.. her characters may be flawed, they may be silly and sometimes they may even be unlikable but they make sense and they connect, with each and with the readers. This makes for fun reading.

Laurel MacTire and her sisters enjoy renovating and the move to Silver Town would seem to be like any other time. Get in make the changes, make some money and get out. But this time things are different. Not only are they living in a wolf run town, which is unique, they are also investigating their aunt's mysterious disappearance. So do their jobs, solve the mystery and get out. No one said anything about getting involved with the town.

CJ Silver and his brothers are home to stay. Unlike the sexy siblings renovating the hotel, they long for pack interaction and family. But they know that along with living with the pack is living with everyone in their business so they find it rather odd that they new girls are so stand offish.. Of course CJ wants to know why, as well as get to know the lovely Laurel.

I wouldn't say hijinks are involved but this book was fun. Simple, easy fun.. Human nature and wolf nature combined to make for some rather interesting individuals and guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.

Read it, enjoy it, I did.

This shifter story could have taken place at any time of the year, but the fact that it’s at Christmastime makes the romance sweeter and the resolution of the mystery more delightful.

The MacTire sisters have been traveling around the country buying and renovating old boutique hotels. They have also been seeking the answer to the puzzle of what happened to their mother’s twin sister, who disappeared a number of years ago. Both of their quests converge in the wolf pack town of Silver. There are so many secrets that Laurel and her sisters don’t really know who to trust.

CJ Silver is a deputy sheriff in his human form and an alpha wolf in the pack. He and Laurel fall in love, decide to become mates and join forces to discover the solution to the search for truth that brought the sisters to Silver, and also resolve some of the questions CJ has about his own heritage.

Most of the story moves along as a sweet romance novel plus a shifter story, and a bit of a mystery novel. That is, until a huge twist occurs that I didn’t see coming and will bet you don’t either! I couldn’t read fast enough to satisfy my curiosity of what will happen next, who is who and who is doing what. Is there really a ghost haunting the hotel? What happened to missing characters? Are the ghost hunter reality TV show people going to wind up taking the hotel away from the MacTire sisters and is that even their true motive?

I love the writing style of Terry Spear and the Heart of the Wolf series. The books don’t have to be read in any particular order, so if you haven’t read any of them yet this is the perfect one to begin with for a great holiday season read.

I just love diving into this author's books. You never know what she has in store next to mesmerize the reader with. This one also has a blend of mysterious intrigue because of needing to solve a long ago mysterious disappearance with a dash of paranormal activity of the ghostly kind. It is also in a time of year that some consider magical all on its own. Three sisters have bought and renovated a inn at Silver Town. This is a unique town all on its own with a tight knit group. One sheriff in particular has his eyes on one of the sisters and this is their story that she gives to you. CJ will be assigned to watch over them taking a bit of ribbing also about the ghosts also. He really is glad to watch over Laurel but also what was really going on. No surprise that the author will get you wrapped up right away in the story using shifter romance as the bait but a strong hook comes with it. I love a mystery and that is part of this with the hunt for the clues being part of the hook. Also though she will add a opposition in the form of 3 brothers there for opening plus they are also in a ghost hunter show. They also have their own agenda that will be revealed layer by layer along with the rest. When it comes to courtship and romance this author does a fine job of doing it with style one that is vibrant. When the answers do start to appear you will not come up for air until you know it all, plus the heat of the romance will also lend its part too. She will give the perfect present with the ending and who doesn't love presents?
