3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK decent reads
====================
The past week had been complete hell. I’d spent the past seven days trying to ignore I felt something for Isabella Fisher, other than straight up lust. Of course, I did this in the worst way possible…Dana.

She was my go to girl for all of my sexual urges. Seriously, there is nothing the girl wouldn’t try.

Oh Lord Jesus above me, this man is f-i-n-e...
Dillon Whitaker has maintained a laid back 'I don't care what you think about me' attitude from the get go. He can't be bothered to explain his actions or correct any preconceived notions but by the second book, you know things aren't always as they appear. I also fed into his manwhoring image but quickly realized there was substance beneath the shiny veneer. One More Time is told in alternating POV's which is essential to understanding Dillon and his actions. He has a traumatic past that still haunts him and those demons are far from finished. Was I disappointed when Dillon ran like a little bitch? Absolutely. Dillon's moments of self-deprecation are not his finest but he mans the hell up and does what it takes to get his head on straight and for that, I have the utmost respect.

5 words or less: bitter, emotionally stunted, protective, possessive

So Much More than a Pretty Face...
Isabella Fisher hasn't had the best role models in life and she made excuses for a man that was emotionally and mentally abusive towards her. When push comes to shove, her self-preservation always kicks in but since she's not quick-tempered, she tolerates more than I think she should before her backbone finally makes an appearance. I wouldn't say that Isabella is weak, she has a quiet strength about her even if most of the people in her life have left her feeling unwanted. She's a free-spirit, not willing to concede her independence easily but her confidence has taken some hits leaving her insecure. Her wariness has her maintaining the status quo instead of demanding open communication and the respect she deserves.

5 words or less: kind, talented, friendly, inner beauty

It Takes a Village...
Friends that play together, stay together and the whole posse is as tight as ever. There's babies, weddings, plenty of bonding time and sparks are flying on what I expect to be the next couple in the series that doesn't see eye to eye. Characters like Tut and Twon who have been irrelevant in previous books share a little more of the limelight which is likely an indication of their importance yet to come. This is a series that takes all the characters along for the ride, Rock Chick-esque, if you will. There's camaraderie among the men that own and operate the garage, the bar, and the P.I. company and the women are welcoming, friendly and supportive as their circle continues to grow. This series has a great foundation on which it continues to build and the stamina to carry it for many more books to come.

How it All Went Down...
The attraction is instantaneous from the moment Dillon and Isabella lay eyes on each other but what could've been more than a one night stand is ruined by insecurity and miscommunication. While both harbor resentment towards the other, unforeseen circumstances and a psychotic ex-boyfriend force Isabella to seek help from the one person she thought she'd never see again. Dillon would prefer to see the back end of Isabella as soon as possible but it's not long before attachments are made and his possessive nature takes over. If they have any hope of ever maintaining any type of relationship, they are going to have to learn to communicate. While Dillon's past continues to hold him back and unexpected threats still linger around the MMG group, let's not forget, Isabella isn't the only one with a mentally unstable ex lurking.

Was it Good for You?
Dillon's in a perpetual state of arousal whenever Isabella's around so there's more than enough steam in amongst all the drama. Over descript and long drawn out scenes will not be found here but there's plenty of hard, fast, sweet with some dirty talk.

The Big But...
Their lack of communication leads to all sorts of problems that could have been easily avoided. This will be a sore point for some. My opinion on it, that's life, not everyone is able to freely express themselves. Neither Dillon or Isabella are perfect but I do think their actions are true to who they are. Isabella handles Dillon the best that she can and stands her ground when she's reached her limit. Although it's told from alternating POV's, it's Dillon's character growth and the steps he takes to overcome his nightmarish past that really make this Dillon's story.

I'll Leave You with This...
“Our eyes met and held. Every ounce of my heart is devoted to this woman. “One more time?” I asked.

Last year I read books one and two in the MMG series back to back and fell in love with R.B. Hilliard's tight group of friends - so when I discovered book three was about to be released I was all over it. This is a series that bears watching! Hot, intense and emotional!

Isabelle has been burned and recently, but that doesn't stop her from exploring the instant connection she feels with a fellow musician she finds herself paired up with unexpectedly. Only to find, once again, her judgement in men must be faulty. Now gun-shy and left with a permanent reminder of her latest foray, she is super careful not to open her heart - or her arms - quite so easily again. Even when the same man comes knocking once more.

Dillon's entire existence seems to be based on misunderstandings and misinterpretations. Both his and those of others. It never mattered much, until Isabelle entered the picture and burrowed under his skin. Weary of anything reeking of commitment, it isn't surprising he never questions some misinformation he receives and allows it to keep him away from her. But when he finds his heart already more invested than he bargained for, it isn't so easy to find his way back.

Surprising and heart wrenching twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat, while an occasional blast of heat will have you turn up the fan in this novel by the very talented R.B. Hilliard.

I had the privilege of receiving an advanced copy of this book and highly recommend it but strongly suggest you read the first two books in the MMG series first to get a good feel for the collection of characters, despite the fact that this story can stand well on its own.

OMG!!! Fell in love with the MMG series from the very first book, but this is definitely my favourite. Like the first two it has everything you could want in a book. A complete rollercoaster of emotions. It will have you laughing out loud, crying, gasping and sighing. With twist and turns that will have you squealing, keep you chewing your finger nails and suspense that keeps you awake at night. I found myself holding my breath several times!
I was a fan of Dillon from the other books and was happy for him to get his own story. All the old characters appear throughout the story and it feels like coming back home. Loved Isabella, a perfect match for Dillon. She knew exactly what she wanted and went for it despite the risks and the road blocks.
Fans of RB will already know that Happy Ever Afters don't come easy to her characters but they are so worth the fight. I don't want to say too much about the storyline because I don't want to spoil it for anyone. I will say I highly recommend it and if you haven't read the first two read those first!!! It maybe early days to mention it but I can not wait for Cas and Sarah's story. Well done RB Hilliard you nailed it!

Another awesome story!

Once again RB has managed to keep me up all night! A gripping story, which had my emotions going, I couldn't put this down, and I can't wait for the next book! This story is told in dual POV's allowing you to see how both Dillon and Isabella feel.

Finally getting Dillon's story, I was not expecting what he was dealing with. Just when he thinks he can deal with his past, and is going to get a normal happy life, he finds out his past was not what he thought--It was worse! It's destroying him and he can't tell Ibby.
Meanwhile, the gang is still trying to make sure everything with Dooley is completely finished. Will they find what they need to put the past behind them and move on?

Isabella has her own problems. Deciding to let lose for one night with Dillon, she unexpectedly adds another layer to her issues. After being in a bad relationship, she's not willing to be in another one.

Can Dillon accept his past? Can he share it with Ibby? If so, will she hate him? Will she take him back? Is their pasts truly over or will they continue to be haunted by them?

This is Dillon and Ibby's story. And I LOVED it! And here's why...
Dillon is hot, witty, and just a man's man. Ibby, Ibby knows exactly what she wants, she just doesn't really know how to go about getting it. So this story, takes you through their trials and tribulations, you will laugh, cry, and take lots of deep breaths.

This book is #3 of the awesome MMG series, I highly recommend!
Well done RB Hilliard!

This is the third book in the MMG series and it is no different from the first two in the series, I absolutely loved it. The characters for this book, I was sorta on the fence about in the first books but this brought both Dillon and Isabella to a new light. I read this one a teary eyed at moments but overall I really enjoyed this and it is probably my favorite of the series.

really enjoyed reading about this couple

It's very surprising to me that Isabel and dillons book was my favorite out of all three. I never got a feel for Dillon in the past books but I loved the portrayal of him and Isabel's relationship, passionate, loving and they actually communicate when needed.

Wow this book. I so loved this book. What an ending. I was so hoping that Dana was going to get what was coming to her! I love all the friends, I can not wait to read the next installment of this series.

This book has just the right amount of sexiness to it and still kept it action packed enough to keep my interest. The best part were the comical liners in the book. Not to mention I live in charlotte so it’s nice to read about my city!

I totally recommend this book.. heck this series!!!

FIVE ‘I’M GOING TO LOVE YOU UNTIL THE DAY I DIE’ STARS!

This is the third book in RB Hilliard’s MMG series. This story focuses on Dillon and Isabella. Dillon has been a mystery since we first met him in the first book, His End Game, and I’ve been excited to get his story. RB Hilliard, in her usual intelligent and effective writing style, delivered big with this book, that’s for sure.

”This is my chance… Help me not to mess it up.”

Dillon and Isabella met one night in a bar owned by her uncle in Charleston. They performed together that night, and their chemistry was undeniable. In a move ver much out of her character, Isabella, recently out of an unhealthy long-term relationship, takes Dillon home with her. A few weeks later, after Dillon receives some purposefully misleading information about Isabella, he washes his hands of her. Unbeknownst to him, though, Dillon left something behind. Isabella is pregnant.

”Get ready for the fight of your life.”

Isabella’s ex-fiancé, Jimmy, threatens to take Amelia from Isabella. She tells him that Amelia is not his, and she can prove it. She then seeks out Dillon to get a paternity test, and the results show that Amelia is Dillon’s daughter. Dillon is not receptive to the idea of having a daughter at first. But the idea slowly warms on him as he cannot help but fall in love with his beautiful daughter and with Isabella. Dillon has a lot on his plate right now, with work and the fact that he’s trying to end things with Dana, who is persistent and just not getting it. Her bad behavior really amps up in this book tremendously, despite Dillon’s insistence that he’s done with her. Isabella also deals with her own drama from her ex as well.

”This is what a family feels like.”

Dillon has fully warmed to the idea of Isabella and Amelia, and he’s going with it. They’re falling in love with each other and their little family when ghosts from the past, in many different forms, rear their heads in different and sometimes dangerous ways. Dillon does not handle some of this well, and he reacts poorly shutting Isabella out. He knows it’s wrong but cannot stop himself as he confronts the secrets from his childhood.

”I love you, my beautiful girl.”

Dillon has fully embraced his family and is in love with Isabella, and she with him. They keep fighting through the drama from Dana, Jimmy and Dillon's past, and they come out stronger than ever. Dillon has forgiven himself for the things that happened in his childhood, and with Isabella and Amelia at his side, he’s reaching for the happiness he's found in his life.

I really liked Dillon’s story. He carried around so much pain. He was such a good friend to everyone, but he didn’t allow anyone to help him carry his burden. This story is very much about Dillon dealing with that and allowing himself to heal. His and Isabella’s story is a beautiful one. Of course, we also got caught up on all the rest of the gang as well.

RB Hilliard has fast become one of my favorite authors. She is such a masterful storyteller, and it’s been a pleasure watching that talent blossom through this series. Without question, she’s an auto-buy for me, and I look forward to reading everything from this talented author.

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

One More Time by RB Hilliard is the third book in her MMG series. As with the other books, this one will not leave you disappointed. This is a passionately scripted novel. The characters are created with a presence of perpetual force with sentiment that brings the reader to their knees and will leave you begging for more.

Dillion Whitaker is ex-military, a singer and guitarist who owns a part of a night club. He doesn't do relationships because of his parents scathing past that he tries to keep locked up tight. In his mind he can never have a relationship with anyone because he is tainted. But on a chance meeting one Isabella Fisher, or Ibby as he learns to call her, Dillion is forced to take a look at the way he has always viewed his life and it scares the hell out of him.

Isabella Fisher is broken. She thought that her fiancé was a good man, but she found out he was a sheep in wolves clothing! Isabella had never been one to look at the bad in everything around her, but the past year has made her more skeptical. She always had a love for life, even though her upbringing should make her cynical. However, when a one night stand with a beautiful Dillion Whitaker changes her life forever, she will once again learn to be that independent strong woman that let's the music guide her!

This is such a beautiful story that will capture you from the beginning while keeping you on the edge till the very end. In this novel, you will see how love can conquer all by the way the author represents the characters. The plot is chalked full of longing and mystery as well as tells a story about passion without bounds. I loved this story from the first and couldn't let it go until I read the very last page! To say I was captured by Isabella's beautiful spirit or Dillion's alpha male ways was just a few of the effects this novel had on me. What an exquisite tale, RB!

Hero - Dillion Whitaker 4.5 stars
Heroine - Isabella Fisher 4.5 stars
Steam Level: 4.5 stars
Plot: 4.5 stars
Cliffhanger: Yes

Would I recommend this book: Yes! This book has it all. If you want to read a story that will enlighten all your senses, make you crazy and cry all at once, then read this book!

Would I read other books by this author: Yes! I love the way this author portrays her characters and fills her stories with twists and turns. She is a master at her craft!

"Someone is looking out for us. I truly believe that." Dillon has been the man on the sidelines of the first two novels in the series doing exactly that. He's always been an important character, but not the main focus. That is until now. In One More Time we finally get to meet and understand the real Dillon, for the amazing and traumatized man he is.

Dillon has harbored some major grief throughout his lifetime that has kept him from experiencing the magnitude of true love. It is the events that caused this grief that can either cause him to completely crumble or, if he can get past it, allow him to enjoy the love and life he truly deserves. After a chance encounter one year ago his life changed forever, though at the time he didn't realize exactly how much.

One More Time is a real life love story full of the ups and downs, the jealousy and lust, and the evil crazies who try to ruin all happiness. The characters are all ones we have fallen in love with so far in the series with a few new ones that change things up a bit. The dynamics of the story create a setting that one can easily be lost and absorbed in, making it very hard to put the book down and also painful to read through the end knowing that it will be over.

There are many lessons to be learned throughout the novel. The one that I feel is most important is, "If I learned anything from this past year, it is to hold on tight to the things I love." When you love you cannot let go, for when you do there is always someone watching over your shoulder waiting to take that from you. The hardest part is when you yourself are the one standing in the way of being able to have and hold that true love.

One More Time by RB Hilliard an Utterly Amazing five-star read. This is the third book in the MMG series, and usually third books can be a little stilted the story needs a kick, but the way RB Hilliard writes this series, there is no lag. Each book gets better and better; they are all set around a different pair of characters from the same group of friends. This time it’s the turn of Dillon Whitaker to step to the forefront and tell his story. He has been a staple of the Dragonfly since it opened. We have seen him make some good decisions and some not so good. We have seen his struggling with the news about his beloved Aunty Angela, and we know he has been struggling with his demons.
Now we see his struggling with his biggest demon of all Isabella Fisher once he hears her voice he knows he is done for, she has a voice that sucks men under her spell. When she goes against the grain and takes him home they spend one night together, one night that has unexpected consequences for both of them. When she wakes up and he is gone from her bed, she assumes that’s it, and it is for now.
Unforeseen circumstances mean they meet again and Dillon realises he must face his demons once and for all.
RB Hilliard writes compelling characters and you can’t put her books down, you see all the gang pop up and they feel like old friends. You can’t help but watch them and wait to see how they are getting on.

Redemption for Dillion

I'm going to be totally honest before reading this book I almost hated Dillion! I believed a lot of negative things about him and I was skeptical going into this book but I never should have doubted RB Hilliard! After I was done with this book Dillion had captured my heart. Dillion's story is beyond heartbreaking! When he meets Isabella I truly believe he is looking for something to cling to. Someone who can save him from himself. Isabella's life hasn't been easy either and she has lost herself along the way. She needs saving maybe just as much as Dillion. Can they save each other? Can they have their happily ever after? This book/series is a must read! I love RB's writing and how she always takes you on such an emotional journey. I love the whole MMG gang and I can't wait for more from them!

Absolutely amazing!!! RB does it again. She made me fall in love with Dillon in her first book in this series, and he definitely doesn't disappoint in one More Time. I love the character depth, the way you can relate to the characters, you can feel their love, their pain, their hope, their dreams. I loved how you could feel the tension, the love, the chemistry between Dillon and Isabella. I also really enjoyed getting to read about the other character from the first books, and how their stories are moving on. This book is definitely another HUGE 5 stars from me!!! Love everything about it and can't wait to read more about these awesome characters, thank you RB for sharing your magic with us!!

So-So ( MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS)

If your looking for a book to read if your bored, this is a average choice for one. The way the story was told made question if a young teen girl had written this.
Phrases such as 'Sexy artist hands' made my eyeballs roll into my head.
The male prespective didn't seem very realistic. Seemed too "I'm a cool cave man, you belong to me".

Hero was really mediocre. Said alot of jarring things and just seemed to fling the blame at everyone.
Heroine needed more backbone. I think the author tried to make her seem to sweet but a little bit 'fiery' when in reality she wasn't much of that. She let the hero tell her what to do too much and not putting up much fight against things.

After reading the first two books in the series , this one by far exceeds my expectations of this series ! This story is about Dillen and Isabella. Dillen has a one night stand with Isabella , then walks away from her.Needless to say Isabella finds him and tells
Him something that will change his life forever . This story has tons of love , heartache ,trials and tribulations of a couple who has to fight long and hard to find love . You will laugh, cry and absolutely fall in love with theses characters ... A must read !! Loved it

A good read

This was a much anticipated story. With this book, the author has set up potentially two more novels for the series. I did find it confusing that piper went from strawberry blonde to just plain strawberry. There were some other timeline things I question, but I don't want to spoil the read. All in all it was a good read.
