Setting the Christmas Stage: Readings for the Advent Season

Rate this book
In Setting the Christmas Stage, John Indermark looks at the Christmas story as a dramatic and wellknown
pageant, reminding us of holidays past and present. He provides a dynamic view of how Advent
gradually moves the drama forward to the climax of Christmas. Readers will see how the stories flow
together into an encounter with God in Christ.

I enjoyed this Advent "study" very much. Readings on the first day of each week of advent, plus 4 more to read during the week, so there wasn't the need to have to read every day. Went through the various parts of a staged play--Backdrop, Scenery, Chorus and Central Characters as they related to the nativity. Very meaningful for me this Advent season.
