The story follows Raj a flamboyant who believes in control and power and stay away from emotions whereas Simran is strong, sharp and fearless, someone who challenges and unsettle him.

This was an engaging read for me. Raj and Simran's relation was filled with tension and push and pull moments that kept the story engaging. The found family aspect added so much warmth and emotion to the story. Kiara, Armaan, Arjun, and Ayesha were always there for them, supporting and pushing Raj and Simran to acknowledge their feelings. I especially loved how Kiara and Armaan looked out for Simran like she was their baby 🥹.

There were quite a few moments where I really wanted to shake some sense into them, especially Raj.The dialogues from DDLJ movie added a fun touch to the story.

The red thread theory used in the book shows how much they denied their feelings for each other but they were destined together.

Overall, if you enjoy Desi romance with messy and complicated relationship, friends like family and lots of tension and emotions then this book is worth reading.

When Destiny Ties Two Hearts with an Invisible Thread ❤️🧵
Chained Fates: Bound by Destiny, Torn by Desire…
Some stories begin with love, while some begin with destiny quietly weaving two lives together. This novel beautifully attempts to explore the fascinating idea of the Red Thread Theory—the belief that two people destined to meet are invisibly connected, no matter how far apart they may be. 🧵✨
At the heart of the story are Raj Malhotra and Simran, two individuals who seem completely different yet remain tied together by fate. Raj carries deep scars from his childhood trauma. Because of that pain, he convinces himself that love is only capable of destroying people. To protect his heart, he hides behind the mask of a charming Casanova, pretending not to care. But deep down, Raj longs for someone who can truly see through his carefully built façade and love the person he hides from the world.
And then comes Simran—unexpected, warm, and full of light. ☀️ She slowly begins to break the walls Raj spent years building around his heart. Her presence becomes the sunshine he never realized he needed.
When I started this book, I expected a deeply romantic story centered completely around the Red Thread Theory. However, the narrative expands beyond just romance. The story strongly explores family dynamics, legacy, and hidden truths—from the mystery behind Rajveer’s existence to Nayantara’s obsession with wealth and power, and the struggle surrounding the family legacy.
Because of this, the love story sometimes takes a step back while the family conflicts take the spotlight. Personally, I felt the concept of the Red Thread Theory could have been explored more deeply. Still, the emotional layers and character conflicts make the story engaging.
Despite a few expectations not being fully met, the novel remains a soulful and heartfelt read. It carries emotions, secrets, and moments that make you pause and reflect on destiny, love, and the complicated bonds within families. 📖💫
Recommendation:
If you enjoy stories that mix romance, family drama, and emotional conflicts, this book is definitely worth giving a shot. It may not fully revolve around the Red Thread Theory as expected, but it still delivers a meaningful and engaging reading experience.
⭐ Recommended for readers who enjoy emotional romance with strong family dynamics.

Chained fates feels like the 90s bollywood story yet refreshing.. it's like standing in the middle of a storm and choosing not to leave yk it's that good

i dived in thinking i’d get a typical fate-bound romance, but what stood out to me was how much of the story is about resistance and not just between the characters, but within them. raj and simran don’t just fight each other—they fight themselves, their pasts, their instincts… and that internal conflict made everything feel heavier and more real.

raj, to me, didn’t feel like the usual “emotionally unavailable” MMC, it felt more like he understood emotions too well and chose to stay away from them anyway..* eye roll * there’s a difference, and it shows in the way he reacts i wouldn't say he's impulsively, but he's like he’s constantly holding something back.

Now if u know me u must know how much i love strong fmcs and Simran isn’t just “strong” in the obvious sense, her strength shows in quieter ways, in how she stays, how she processes things, how she refuses to let situations define her even when they get wayy too overwhelming. she doesn’t lose herself trying to understand him, and i loved that.

their connection isn’t loud all the time. some of the most impactful moments are the quiet ones the almost-confessions, the things left unsaid... yes they were annoying and really frustating but those are the moments that carried more weight than the dramatic ones for me.

i also really liked how the story lets things sit. it doesn’t rush emotional resolutions or neatly tie everything up immediately, which made it feel more grounded.. i love how not everything is fixed just because feelings are involved

if i had to point out one thing, i did feel like some parts of the story could’ve lingered a little longer, especially when it came to fully diving into certain emotional moments. but even then, it didn’t take away from the overall experience.

For me this isn’t a “comfort read” romance. it’s the kind that made me overthink certain scenes that randomly crossed my mind later.

and yeah… i’m definitely not done with these characters yet i need moreeee

Chained Fates: Bound by Destiny, Torn by Desire by the author is a story that mixes emotions, complicated relationships, and the idea of fate connecting two people even when they try to resist it. It doesn’t start like a typical soft romance; instead, there’s tension right from the beginning, which actually makes it more interesting.
From the start, it’s clear this isn’t going to be a simple love story. Raj and Simran don’t just fall for each other easily, they clash, misunderstand things, and still somehow keep getting pulled back together. That constant back and forth is what kept me hooked.
Raj seems confident and in control on the outside, but as the story goes on, you realise he’s just hiding a lot of pain. He’s someone who has kind of convinced himself that love only hurts. Simran is very different, she’s strong, curious, and not someone who just accepts things quietly. She questions him, stands her ground, and doesn’t get intimidated, which makes their dynamic really interesting.
Their relationship isn’t perfect at all. It’s messy, sometimes frustrating, and full of ups and downs. There are moments where they get close, and then suddenly there’s distance again. But honestly, that’s what makes it feel real.
The Red Thread Theory is a really nice idea in the story; the whole concept that two people are connected by fate no matter what. I just wish it was explored a bit more because it could have added even more depth.
Another thing that stood out was the family angle. There’s a lot going on with family issues, responsibilities, and secrets. Sometimes it takes focus away from the romance, but it also makes the story feel more layered and real.
There are a few emotional moments that really stay with you, especially when the characters show their vulnerable sides. It’s not just about love, but also about fear, past experiences, and how hard it can be to open up to someone.
Overall, it’s not your usual romantic story, but it’s definitely engaging. If you like stories with emotional depth, complicated relationships, and a bit of destiny involved, this one is worth a read.

Book: Chained Fates
Author: Roohanee
Genre: Contemporary Romance (Desi Romance, Emotional, Found Family)
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Book Review:
I didn’t just read Chained Fates I got completely lost in it. From the very beginning, it pulled me in and didn’t let go. It’s not a light or easy love story at all; to me, it felt like watching two people trying so hard to stay apart, yet somehow always ending up back in each other’s lives. The red string theory angle made their connection feel even more special, like no matter what happened, they were always meant to find their way back to each other.

Raj honestly broke my heart. The way his past is written made me feel his pain so deeply. I could understand why he struggles to open up and keeps his walls so high. And then there’s Simran strong, confident, and not someone who falls easily, especially for someone like Raj. I loved how she didn’t just give in. Their story is messy, full of misunderstandings and tension, and there were moments where I just wanted to scream at them to communicate but that’s what made it feel so real to me.

What I loved the most is how the love wasn’t always loud or obvious. I saw it in the small things the silent care, the unspoken feelings, the moments that didn’t need words. And the friendships? They were everything. Simran’s bond with Kaira and Ayesha made me so emotional. The way they stood by her, protected her, and supported her no matter what was just beautiful to read.

The emotional depth of the story really stayed with me, especially Raj’s journey. Watching him slowly change and confront his feelings felt so satisfying. And the ending didn’t feel like an end it felt like a new beginning. I’m honestly so excited to see what’s next, especially for Ayesha and Arjun.

For me, this book wasn’t perfect in a fairytale way it was messy, emotional, and sometimes frustrating, but that’s exactly why I loved it so much. If you enjoy intense desi romance with real emotions, strong friendships, and a story that stays with you, I would definitely recommend adding this to your TBR. 💫

If you are looking for a book packed with absolute OMG moments, you need to pick this one up! Chained Fates is the second book in the Chained series, and it follows the intense, chaotic journey of Raj (aka Rajveer) and Simran.

The story heavily plays with the "Red Thread Theory", the idea that two souls are tied together long before they even meet, and the more they try to pull away from each other, the tighter that invisible thread gets. And honestly, that perfectly describes these two! Rajveer is a playboy who runs an empire, loves control, and genuinely believes that love is an inefficient liability. But then there is Simran. She is fierce, fiercely stubborn, and refuses to walk away from the truth, diving headfirst into secrets that completely unsettle Raj.

Their story is the ultimate push-and-pull. They clearly want each other so badly, but they definitely don't make it easy. Half the time, they are fighting each other, and the rest of the time, they are fighting their own internal battles trying not to want each other. It adds so much delicious tension to the plot!👀🔥

What I loved most is how the romance starts. It isn't loud, it is shown through quiet, meaningful actions. There is a specific part where Raj is practically fuming with anger, yet he still secretly pays her bills just to make sure she is free from any tension and burden. 😭🤌🏼❤️ I mean, aren't these the kinds of moments that completely raise our standards??? It’s not about just throwing money around, it’s about actively removing her stress.

And of course, with all this hidden love and tension comes the jealousy and the confessions, raw and pure!!🔥🔥

But this book isn't just about the romance. It has a massive heart when it comes to friendship and family. We all need a squad like Kaira, Armaan, Arjun, and Ayesha in our lives. They are the ultimate support system who stand firmly by their friend's side, making sure she never has to feel alone.

From bollywood Raj and Simran to this amazing new bold different interesting story of simran and Raj Malhotra definitely leaving a impact.
One of my best moment of this book when simran goes for interview...well coming for review.

Chained Fates (Bound by Destiny, Torn by Desire) by Author Roohani O isn’t a light, feel-good romance—it’s intense, layered, and emotionally restless in a way that keeps you turning pages.
At its core, the story thrives on conflict. Raj and Simran don’t fall in love—they collide. Their connection is filled with friction, unanswered questions, and a constant push-and-pull that feels frustrating at times, but also very human. Raj’s need for control and emotional detachment contrasts sharply with Simran’s fearless curiosity, and that tension becomes the heartbeat of the story.
What makes this book stand out is how imperfect everything feels. The relationship isn’t idealized; it’s messy, complicated, and often uncomfortable. There are moments where you might question their choices, but that’s exactly what makes it believable. Beneath Raj’s confidence lies unresolved pain, while Simran’s strength comes with its own emotional weight—and watching those layers unfold is where the story truly grips you.
The idea of fate, especially through the Red Thread Theory, adds an intriguing dimension, even if it feels slightly underexplored. Still, the sense that something bigger is pulling them together lingers in the background, adding quiet intensity to their journey.
This isn’t just a love story—it’s about trust, control, and the fear of letting someone in.
Overall, Chained Fates is not about perfect love—it’s about a love that challenges, unsettles, and refuses to be ignored. If you enjoy stories where emotions run high and relationships feel real rather than ideal, this one will definitely leave you curious for more.

Chained Fates is a story that blends the charm of desi romance with emotional depth, strong characters, and beautiful relationship dynamics.

At the heart of the story are Raj and Simran, two characters whose chemistry grows through tension, banter, and the gradual unraveling of their lives. Raj initially comes across as flamboyant and carefree, someone who keeps emotions at arm’s length. But as the story unfolds, we begin to see the layers beneath that persona , the pain he has carried and the quiet ways he protects the people he cares about.

One of my favourite elements of this book was the found family trope, which added warmth and depth to the narrative. The relationships surrounding the main characters felt genuine and comforting, making the world of the story feel alive.

I especially enjoyed the sass and spark between Raj and Simran. Their dynamic felt engaging and entertaining, and Raj’s subtle way of protecting Simran, sometimes without even letting her know added an emotional tenderness to their relationship.

The story also beautifully balances romance with moments of vulnerability, allowing both characters to grow while confronting their pasts.

And the epilogue was written so beautifully that it left me with a deep sense of satisfaction after finishing the book. Seeing Raj and Simran finally find their happiness together felt incredibly rewarding. ( But I do wish that she should have made him grovel a Lil more😭😂😂).

I’m also very excited for the next book in the series , Arjun and Ayesha’s story because this book has already set up the world in such an engaging way.

Overall, Chained Fates is a well-written desi romance filled with emotion, tension, found family, and a love story that feels both intense and heartfelt.

Chained Fates by Roohanee is an engaging story that explores destiny, emotions, and the complicated connection between two strong individuals. The book revolves around Raj and Simran, two people with completely different personalities and beliefs. Raj is someone who believes in control and keeps his emotions guarded, while Simran is fearless, curious, and not afraid to question the truth. Their contrasting nature creates a powerful dynamic that keeps the story interesting from beginning to the end. And, I???? I was hooked till the end, the story is still running in my mind.

One of the most interesting aspects of the book is the constant tension between the two characters. Their interactions are filled with clashes, unspoken emotions, and moments that slowly reveal their deeper layers. The concept of souls being tied together by fate adds a unique touch to the narrative and makes the story feel intense and meaningful

The author does a good job of building an atmosphere where secrets, power, and emotions intertwine. The story isn’t just about romance, it also touches on themes like trust, betrayal, and the struggles of confronting one’s own past. These elements give the narrative more depth and make the characters feel more real.

Chained Fates is a best read for those who enjoy emotional romance combined with strong character development and dramatic tension. The journey of Raj and Simran kept me curious about what will happen next, and the story leaves a lasting impression even after the final page.

I enjoyed every bit of this book & can't wait for the book of Arjun & Ayesha.

Can I start by saying I love this book so freaking much. From the start till end I was so hooked to the book that I didn't realise when it got finished.

Raj and Simran the name itself gives you the vibes of DDLJ, the iconic characters, movie but let me tell you it's different.

Rajveer Malhotra the flamboyant guy who hates the concept of love. He is the one who craves love yet he does not want to fall in love. Yet he falls in love with her. Her one glance was enough for his walls to shake. Her presence was enough to melt down his tough exterior/heart.

Simran Arora the girl full of life. Her life revolves around her father and her friends. She is so strong yet determined what she has to do. Despite facing so many difficulties she stood strong and decided to face them. Love was something she was scared about. She had suffered a heartbreak and was not looking for another one yet whenever she was around him she wanted to know him. She wanted to give a chance.

The mention of friendship in the book, no matter what your friends will be there with you always is something which made me cry. Kaira, Armaan, Ayesha, Arjun were just not the side characters but they were also the essence of the book which made the book alive.

There were so many scenes in the book where I giggled so much. The bond between all the characters was so good to read. Raj's jealous side was so much fun. He denies he loves her yet feels jealous whenever she is with his friend. The way he was always there for her in the shadows made my heart warm. One of my favourite things from the book is the fact that before every chapter there were quotes and I love when they are written. Now I m excited to know if we will be having Arjun and Ayesha's story. Their banter was what I loved in the book.

Can I just start by saying I NEED ayesha and arjun story ASAP. Like what was that ending?!?!? I need to know their happily ever after too. I was rooting for them from the very start. Now I haven't read the first book chained desires but i want to cuz armaan and kaira story sounds amazing and they were my favv couple.

Chained fates revolves around, raj and simran and their not so perfect but perfect in every way that matters love story. Raj was a playboy, no strings attached, more of a one night stand guy whereas simran needed love, passion and commitment. Coming from a heart break simran was healing with her friends beside her. What started as "he is just a friend" and "she is just a friend" completely changed into them yearning for eachother.

The story was amazing in every way, I loved the writing and loved the concepts of blogging in the story. Kishor and sundar uncle were such cutiepatotie 🫶🏻🥹 and loved the way raj said he doesn't care but still went to the hospital just for simran. His jealousy arc was crazzzyyyyyy and I loved every bit of it. Raj did break my heart after that nayaintara scandal unfolded but come on I had to forgive him, he was on his literal knees 🫦

Overall I am not okay, I need to know know if ayesha and arjun are okay and I'm really hoping for a 3rd book in the series.
This was an amazing read for me and happy just like act two- ashes did. Recommended for everyone who's searching for a marathon read! 🪄🫶🏻

Chained Fates (ARC Review)

🏢 | Chained Fates by Roohanee
❤️‍🔥 | Contemporary Desi Romance
✨ | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was a roller coaster of emotions. I laughed with the characters, I smiled at sweet moments, my heart broke for Raj’s suffering and also when he broke Simran’s heart, I really loved every single moment of this book 🥹😍.

The way the girls (Kaira, Ayesha, and Simran) were there for each other and are willing to do anything and everything for each other really touched my heart. I really loved the trio’s friendship 💕💕. They’re each other’s anchor and rock, especially Kaira & Ayesha threatening Raj for breaking their friend’s heart (Simi), that was funny😆😆. Not to mention Simi’s team too (Nia, Pia, and Rameshwar). The same goes for Armaan & Arjun when they stuck beside Raj when things got awry for Raj in his company, they didn’t leave instead they supported him through this storm and came out victorious.

Raj’s past really broke my heart. He is emotionally guarded, arrogant, and a perfectionist. He views love as a liability and carries deep childhood trauma. Despite his cold exterior, he is quietly protective and often helps Simran from the shadows. And Simran a fierce, independent, and stubborn woman.

Those two are tied together by the "Red Thread of Destiny" - it’s an invisible, unbreakable bond that pulls souls together regardless of their resistance. So no matter how far away Raj & Simran are, and no matter how much they resist each other, they always come back to each other.

And the ending of the book indicates Arjun & Ayesha’s story, can’t wait to read their story next 😍😍.

My Ratings:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Chained Fates by Roohanee is an engaging story that explores destiny, emotions, and the complicated connection between two individuals. This novel beautifully attempts to explore the fascinating idea of the Red Thread Theory-“ souls are tied together long before they collide. They are bound by an invisible thread that tightens with resistance when denied”

Raj He doesn’t believe in fate!!He believes in control!! Raj carries deep scars from his childhood trauma when I read about his past I felt something deep inside my heart!! He suffered a lot and now he only deserves love🥹🫶 and the way he loves Simran was EVERYTHING🤍 and yes He's the standard 💕

"Chained Fates" chose not the regular....sweet and nice beginning of a romance, rather it opened with tension, guarded emotions and two individuals who seemed determined to keep their worlds separate, even when destiny appeared to have plans...the otherwise🤞

Raj is a fascinating character to observe. On the surface he is confident, powerful and completely in control of his life and emotions. But the more the story unfolded, the more I realised that his carefully built walls hid wounds he had never truly faced.
Simran, on the other hand, refused to be intimidated by power or secrets. She was all sharp, instinctive and emotionally fearless and that contrast was exactly what made their interactions just compelling👌

There's a lot of emotional push and pull between the both of them. Their relationship doesn’t move in a straight line, for it twisted through misunderstandings, vulnerabilities, protection and moments of tenderness🤌
The narrative captured how complicated human connections can go when pride, fear and unresolved pasts collide🙌

Beyond the romance, the story also touched on responsibility, family struggles and the difficult choices adulthood often demands (of just all of us).
These layers added weight to the narrative and made the characters feel far more real than typical romantic leads🌟

The concept of destiny threading through the story adds an intriguing dimension, making the connection between Raj and Simran feel inevitable and also constantly challenging🤞

I didn’t choose this story… it chose me.

I didn’t expect this book to get under my skin the way it did.

At first, I thought it would be just another enemies-to-lovers kind of story… but it’s not that simple. There’s something heavier here. The whole “red thread” idea actually stays with you while reading—it feels like no matter how much Raj and Simran try to walk away, something keeps pulling them back, and you *feel* that tension the entire time.

Raj honestly frustrated me in the beginning. He’s arrogant, emotionally unavailable, and very much in control of everything… except his own feelings. But as the story goes on, you start to see cracks in him, and that’s where it gets interesting.

And Simran—I loved her for not backing down. She doesn’t just fall for him blindly. She questions, pushes, and sometimes even walks straight into trouble just to uncover the truth. She’s strong, but not in an unrealistic way—it feels real.

What I liked most is that their relationship isn’t soft or easy. It’s messy. There’s ego, secrets, tension… and that constant push and pull. Sometimes you want them together, sometimes you want to shake them both.

Also, the story isn’t just about love. There’s betrayal, power, and a lot of emotional conflict layered in, which keeps it from feeling predictable.

By the end, I wasn’t just reading their story—I was *invested* in it.

If you like intense, slightly chaotic love stories where emotions run high and nothing comes easy, you’ll probably enjoy this.

Chained Fates is the kind of book that hits you like a whirlwind, especially if one is a fan of high-stakes office tension and the "enemies-to-lovers" trope. Roohanee crafts a story that feels both deeply personal and cinematic, centering on Rajveer and Simran, two characters who are clearly made for each other but willing to do everything in their power to resist that pull. The "Red Thread of Destiny" theme isn't just a background concept; it's woven into every argument and stolen glance, making their eventual surrender to one another feel incredibly earned and satisfyingly intense.

What really stands out is how Roohanee refuses to give us the "perfect" heroes. Rajveer is a complicated, sometimes infuriating perfectionist, and Simran is fiercely stubborn, which makes their chemistry feel raw and authentic rather than just a fairy tale. The dialogue is snappy and carries that distinct "desi" flair that adds so much flavor to the setting. It's a slow-burn that actually respects the heat, balancing the corporate power plays with emotional vulnerabilities that make you want to root for them even when they're being difficult.

Huge credit goes to Roohanee for her ability to balance such heavy emotional depth with a pace that never drags. She has a real gift for writing "messy" love-the kind that isn't always pretty but feels incredibly real. Her growth as an author is evident here; she's created a world in the Chained series that feels lived-in and cohesive, and her prose captures those quiet, heart-aching moments just as well as the explosive ones.

"An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place and circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle.
But it will never break."
— ancient Chinese proverb

Book Review 🍁 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝑭𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔

This is the vibe you're getting into while reading this novel. You may feel at first like, why all this fragmented incidents are happening? And then Bam! every bit falls into place. But it's not entirely just this! It is beyond that. You're signing up for drama, fun, family dynamics, friendship bond, childhood trauma, power play and obviously romance with the MMC denying it every now and then.

The story is centered around Simran and Raj Malhotra our main characters. One is a walking power who bends his entire reign just for her. On the other side our Simran is a sunshine girl, full of warmth and love. She is the warmth Raj needed the most and eventually his world brightens with our Simran.

Moving onto characters portrayal and plot, we got depth in the main and side characters. The plot is good but I was expecting a bit more than that. I liked that the story was also focused on side characters enough so that it felt really wholesome to read it.

I've read previous works of the author and I like the way her writings have improved throughout the story.

Although I didn't got enough exploration of the "Red Theory" which I was looking forward to and I felt a bit disappointed, the story overall is a good read.

If you're a fast pace reading lover this might not be your cup of tea as it's a slow paced novel.

I have read 2 book named Chained Desires, Act two: Ashes
by Author Roohanee and her 3rd book Chained Fates was a fabulous surprise.

Raj is this whole playboy type. I found him to be very love controlled, and he believes love to be a liability. Simran is bold. She is fierce, stubborn and believes in truth that’s where most of their tension starts.

Their Dynamic idk how to explain but it’s very push pull. They wanted each other badly but sometimes they are fighting and then they are fighting with self. It’s not a smooth fairy love story at all. They don’t just fall in love and everything becomes perfect (not a easy Transition) it’s more of the moments of they coming close then something messes it up then again distance and it keeps going like that on a loop.

A cute concept of Red Thread was in the story like they are somehow connected no matter what. I liked the idea just felt hooked throughly. Side characters didn’t feel useless as they added some lighter moments in between the tension.

To be honest Simran’s side felt more emotional to me as her dad’s health situation and the financial stress she’s dealing with those parts actually hit. I was bit confused with Raj's character. I felt to know him at one point but next he didn't fully open up.

Random but the names did give me Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge vibes at first 😭 but as I read it’s very different kinda reminded me of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil type relationships where feelings are there but things aren’t simple.

Hearing Raj and Simran recalls DDLJ but this one is completely different... It's  pure chaos in the best way possible..messy emotions, intense push and pull, and that kind of connection that feels inevitable no matter how hard they try to fight it. Rajveer is frustratingly controlling, borderline unbearable at times but then he goes and does the softest, most unexpected things that make you pause and go crazy .... And Simran...she’s not here to make it easy for him or for us. She questions, she pushes, she refuses to settle and that’s exactly what makes their dynamic so addictive. Their story isn’t just romance, it’s tension, denial, ego and feelings they’re both too stubborn to admit.

What really got me was how the love isn’t loud...it’s hidden in actions, in moments they don’t even acknowledge out loud. Like when he silently takes away her burdens without even asking for credit...yeah, that kind of love hits different. And then you add jealousy, confessions, emotional breakdowns… it’s a whole rollercoaster. Plus, the friends group..... absolute gold. They balance out the intensity with warmth and loyalty making the story feel even more real and grounded.

Overall, this book didn’t just entertain me...it consumed me. Raj and Simran are messy, complicated and so perfectly imperfect together that you can’t help but root for them. This wasn’t just a love story… it was a war between hearts that were never meant to stay apart

There are some books you read… and then there are books that completely consume you “Chained Fates” was definitely the latter for me🥹❤️‍🔥I finished it in just two sittings, and honestly, I’m still not over Raj and Simran.💕
🌷
this story is an emotional…intense romance that thrives on the undeniable pull between two strong individuals.
.
Raj, someone who is used to control, and Simran, who refuses to be anything but herself.!!!
.
create a dynamic that feels raw❤️‍🔥 real & beautifully complicated. Their journey from friendship to love isn’t rushed …it unfolds with moments that feel genuine, heartfelt & deeply satisfying.
🌷
What truly made this book special for me was the energy …especially the friend group. The “girls supporting girls” vibe ..the chaotic yet loyal gang & the way everyone always had each other’s backs added so much warmth and life to the story🌹😭It didn’t just feel like a romance.!! it felt like a whole world filled with love, chaos & unbreakable bonds.
🌷
And Simran? I absolutely adored her strength. She stands by Raj through everything, just as he does for her and that mutual support made their love feel even more powerful
🌷
This book is filled with emotions..longing, tension, comfort & that kind of love that doesn’t feel soft and easy, but deep and consuming. And Raj… oh my gosh… the way this man loves? Yeah, my heart is not okay. Truly left me craving a love like that.🙂‍↕️💕🌷

Chained Fates is the second book in the Chained Series, which I know because it was on the book’s Amazon Page. I started the book because of DDLJ. When the Main characters are called Simaran and Raj.. you get into a bias. If you have read the first book, you’ve likely met both of them. I haven’t read the first book so I met her first out of the two of them, and from page 11 ish, she was very fun. Then we met him. And he was in love. Already. But, he was also totally grumpy. This is where I think the series aspect comes in. They read like two people who have history between them and while I would like to find out what that history was.. I simply did not have time to (MY TBR Pile silently judging me) so.. Well I moved on. And story went from feel good to “STAKES” Simaran’s father’s illness, the helplessness of an only child, the dilemmas TOOK MY BREATH AWAY. But between those dilemmas was a steady stock of romance which balanced things out. Their first kiss was everything I did not see coming, But he needed it. One thing I liked was that the kiss did not turn them into immediate girlfriend and boyfriend (DESPITE AFOREMENTIONED HISTORY) There were moments I wanted to bash both their heads into each other. There were moments I wanted to hug them both and I definitely wanted to punch Naiyantara in the face every time she was on page. All in all? I finished the book in 3 days which says a lot!. My rating: 4.5 stars.

Chained Fates is a sweet and emotional love story with a desi touch that stays with you long after you finish reading.
The two main characters, Raj and Simran, are the soul of this book. Raj first appears fun and carefree, but as the story moves forward, you slowly realize there's a lot more to him. He has hidden pain, and he loves quietly without making it obvious. That slow reveal makes him really easy to root for.
The best part of the book is how real the emotions feel. The fights, the misunderstandings, the moments where they almost say what they feel but don't — all of it keeps you hooked. Even when Raj and Simran are pushing each other away, you can feel the pull between them.
There are some lines in the book that just hit differently. One of them goes — "Some love stories are written in the stars. Others are tied with a red thread that burns when you try to escape." Another one that stayed with me — "Every attempt to let go only pulls them back harder." Simple words, but they carry a lot of feeling.
The book touches on themes like destiny, love, trust, family, and learning to be open about your feelings. None of it feels forced — it all flows naturally through the story.
If you enjoy emotional love stories with relatable characters and a strong desi vibe, Chained Fates is absolutely worth your time.

Romance is usually shown as a slow alignment of feelings, but Chained Fates treats it more like a conflict. It’s something felt long before it’s understood, and the characters fight against it way before they finally accept it.
The novel doesn't follow the normal path of falling in love. Instead, it looks at two people who share a connection they can't quite put into words. This leads them to question, control, and pull away from each other rather than embracing that feeling.
Raj is has a need for control. His calm exterior and emotional restraint is a calculated effort to stay away from being vulnerable. Simran is the opposite because she seems independent and expressive, but her autonomy is actually built on past experiences and a fear of getting hurt again. This contrast makes their story feel less like a harmony and more like a constant tension between two different personalities.
Of course, the story does use some familiar tropes from the genre, and there are parts that feel a bit predictable or a little too intense. Even so, the book does a great job of showing that love isn't always comforting or easy to accept. It can be something conflicted, constantly analyzed, and hard to escape.
Despite its flaws, Chained Fates is a really engaging look at emotional resistance and it definitely sticks with you after you finish it.

Review of "Chained Fates" by Roohanee
Ratings ~ 5/5

"Chained Fates" by Roohanee is a heartfelt rollercoaster of a romance that pulls you right into the stormy world of Raj and Simran, two fierce souls whose lives collide in ways that feel both destined and devastating. From the opening sparks of tension, you can sense the pull between them—Raj with his brooding intensity and guarded heart, Simran with her fiery spirit and unyielding loyalty. Roohanee's storytelling shines here; she weaves betrayal, power plays, and raw emotional confrontations so vividly that I found myself flipping pages late into the night, rooting for their messy, passionate connection. It's not just fluff—there's real depth in how she explores the pain of trust shattered and rebuilt, making every heated argument and tender glance hit like a punch to the gut. Honestly, while some moments drag with repetitive angst, the payoff in their chemistry and growth makes it worth every tear-jerking twist. The author's ability to craft immersive scenes, especially those Instagram-teased character reveals, shows her talent for modern Indian romance that echoes Wattpad's addictive pull but with a polished, human edge.

"In the chains of our fates, your betrayal cut deepest, yet your touch is the only key that sets me free."

Book Review
Book Name: Chained Fates: Bound by destiny. Torn by desire. (Chained Series Book 2)
Author: ROOHANEE
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story is built around the "Red Thread of Destiny," the idea that certain people are tied together by an invisible, unbreakable bond. The plot follows Raj, a cold-hearted businessman who avoids love at all costs, and Simran, a stubborn woman who isn't afraid to go looking for the truth. Their lives collide when Simran starts digging into secrets that Raj would much rather keep buried.
As Simran uncovers more hidden files, their mutual defiance turns into a serious attraction. The book hits all the right notes for "enemies-to-lovers" fans, showing how they navigate betrayal while Raj’s professional world starts to crumble. It’s a tense journey to see if they are actually soulmates or if they’re just caught in a relationship that might destroy them both.
The writing is moody and pulls you in, perfectly capturing the slow-burn tension between the two leads. I really liked how the author took an old soulmate metaphor and dropped it right into a modern corporate setting. If you’re into stories with morally grey heroes and strong-willed heroines, this is a great pick.

This was one of those books that slowly gets under your skin and stays there.
Chained Fates is not a simple love story. It is layered with emotional tension, resistance, and a constant push and pull between two very different people. Raj is controlled, guarded, and believes in power. Simran is strong, emotional, and refuses to run from the truth.
What I loved most was how real their dynamic felt. The misunderstandings, the hesitation, the moments where they almost say everything but hold back. You can feel the connection even when they are trying to deny it.
The red thread concept adds a beautiful layer to the story. It gives the feeling that some connections are inevitable, no matter how hard you try to escape them.
Simran’s independence and resilience make her easy to root for, while Raj’s character slowly unfolds in a way that makes you understand his choices.
The side characters also add warmth and make the world feel more complete. And some lines in the book truly stay with you.
It is not a light or fluffy romance. It is emotional, sometimes intense, and very real. That is what makes it so engaging.
If you enjoy slow burn romances with depth and a strong emotional core, this is definitely worth reading.

Chained Fates – Part 2 promises a dark, intense romance where destiny refuses to loosen its grip, and from the overview alone, it delivers a compelling blend of passion, power, and emotional conflict. The concept of the red thread binding Raj and Simran adds a mystical undertone, making their relationship feel inevitable yet turbulent. It’s not a soft love story—it’s one built on tension, resistance, and undeniable pull.
Raj’s character stands out as someone driven by control and logic, making his clash with Simran even more intriguing. Simran, on the other hand, brings fire into the narrative—fearless, curious, and unwilling to ignore the truth. Their dynamic feels electric, where every interaction deepens both attraction and conflict. The push and pull between them hints at a slow-burn romance layered with secrets and emotional stakes.
What makes this story particularly engaging is the underlying theme of betrayal and hidden truths. It suggests that love here isn’t just about connection, but also about confrontation—of the past, of power, and of one’s own vulnerabilities. If executed well, this could be a gripping read for anyone who enjoys intense romances with a touch of suspense and destiny-driven storytelling.

I just finished Chained Fates and I’m still thinking about Raj and Simran.

This story really surprised me in the best way. It’s intense, emotional, and full of that push and pull tension that makes you keep turning pages even when you tell yourself “just one more chapter.”
Raj is so used to being in control of everything, his empire, his emotions, his world. And then Simran walks in and refuses to be handled. I loved her strength. She doesn’t back down, she asks questions, she stands her ground… and that’s exactly what unsettles him. Their dynamic feels raw and charged, not easy or soft, but real and complicated.

The red thread theory adds this layer of inevitability to their connection. No matter how much they resist, they keep getting pulled back to each other, and you can feel that tension building with every clash and every quiet moment.
It’s dramatic. It’s emotional. It has secrets, power struggles, and that kind of romance where love isn’t gentle, it’s consuming.

If you enjoy strong personalities, messy emotions, and a romance that feels intense rather than sweet, you’ll probably get hooked like I did.
Definitely a memorable read for me 🤍

Chained Fates is not a typical love story; it is a twisting smoke that envelops two people who do not wish to breathe it in. Raj and Simran are not two people falling in love; they are two people who resist, clash and come apart in a way that seems both preordained and rebellious. Their relationship is less like a flame and more like an ember lying beneath layers of pride, fear and unexpressed feelings.

The symbolism of the red thread remains like a wound that is a result of their denials; it gets tighter with every "no", and burns with every attempt to separate. Raj uses his ability to control as his protection and Simran uses her ability to be independent as her defense. Both will become weak when they put pressure on something they cannot name.

What makes this narrative interesting is its opposition to romanticism. Love is not soft; it is relentless, hard, and very much an echo. The dramatic tension provides an experience of a certain degree of predictability, but allows a sense of being overwhelmed with emotional power, leaving you with a gentle longing for a red thread to be pulling well after the conclusion of the book.

When I picked up Chained Fates I didn't thought much about it. But assumed it can be another enemies-to-lovers romance with a pretty cover and predictable beats which was proven wrong when I began to read it was like a desi romance that doesn't play safe the way author has build it around The Red Thread Theory the idea of connecting two souls together long before they can ever understand made it even more beautiful.
The author never pretends that Raj and Simran are supposed to be *easy*. This isn't a gentle, gradual descent into love. There is a collision. A persistent tug that, in some way, seems more genuine than most romance novels I've read.
I was most impressed by how *honest* their connection seems. It's disorganized, annoying, and rife with miscommunications and near-misses. They approach one another before separating once more. Because it seems like something that might truly happen to real people, it works even if it shouldn't.This isn't just a love story; it's about what individuals defend, what they conceal, and what ultimately breaks them open. The family element and the secrets woven throughout the plot offer authentic texture.
