I should absolutely, under no circumstance develop a crush on my co-worker--the grumpy, wolf-daddy, much older high school baseball coach.

First problem? He's twenty years older than me. Second? I've never even been kissed. Third? When I ask him to teach me, he said yes.

In my defense, Grey Brooks is a great coach. As an elementary school librarian, I know more about books than swinging hammers or baseball bats. I thought I was a lost cause, but from showing me how to throw a baseball to fixing up my rickety old house, all he does is teach me. And somewhere between the lessons and the laughter, we become friends. So asking him to teach me to kiss...etc, just makes sense. Right? Right?

He makes rules. Keep it casual. Keep it secret. Keep the feels in check.

But in a small town where everyone's watching, nothing stays secret for long. Every rule we break blurs the line between lessons and love, the rumors are getting louder, and Grey thinks he's going to ruin me.

He might be right. But not for the reasons he thinks.

Because there's more than gossip hiding in Roseville. And by the time I see the danger coming, the only person who can save me is the one everyone says I should stay away from.

I was the kid who stayed inside to read.

As a four-eyed nerd with a bad perm, I was no one’s dodgeball pick, but I had a lot of friends. Frodo and Bilbo, for instance. Kristy, Stacey, Claudia and the gang (iykyk). Once, in the third grade, I wrote a teen murder mystery inspired by Christopher Pike. On solving my mystery in twelve pages, I decided I was a terrible writer and should never, ever do that again.

Fortunately, I didn’t take my own advice.

I write romance for that feeling you get at the end, like you’re standing on top of a mountain with a backpack full of hundred dollar bills. I write romcoms because is there anything better than banter and grand gestures? I write because I love to create and I love words. I love books, and I love stretching my imagination. I love love, and if you do too, bring your coffee and have a seat. I think we’re gonna be friends.

Sweet Spot hit all my love buttons in a romance! Gah! I had so much fun reading this one. It was the best! Staci always brings the feels, but in a non-heavy/lighthearted way. Not that this one didn’t have moments of depth, but overall it was a sweet and fun rom-com with the right amount of emotion.

After reading the first two books in this series, I was dying to get Molly and Coach's (aka Greyson’s) story. I love love love an age-gap romance. Molly is a 24-year-old librarian who is newish to town. She lived a fairly sheltered life and is gaining new experiences every day. You can’t help but love her. And she has a massive crush on Greyson, the high school baseball coach.

Greyson is 44 and has lived in the same small town all his life. He’s never seriously settled down, but he’s also not a playboy. He has his routine, and he’s mostly happy with that until Molly crashes into his world and turns things upside down. These two were great together and perfect for each other. They balanced one another out, and I adored them as a couple.

I’ve read and loved a lot of Staci Hart books, and this is most definitely one of her best. You’ll laugh, swoon, and smile so big after finishing ‘Sweet Spot.’ Do yourself a favor and pick it up asap!

Quick Opinion:
Welp, I goofed. I read another book right after this one before I wrote my review. I'm not going to write my typical review format because I don't want to mix anything up and misrepresent it. This was cute. It was a little too smutty for my liking once they got there 🫣 but I guess that was part of the "teaching her" aspect. I thought the parent drama and main conflict was a little too OTT and soap opera/Maury Povich (IYKYK) to the point that I was rolling my eyes. 20 year age difference is a lot, but I didn't get predator vibes or anything and I thought they had a cute relationship. If you like the "he falls first" trope, you'd probably like this because he is alll about her right away even to the extent of pushing her away "for her own good". It was cute, but I not know if it'll be all that memorable.

This is probably either Safe or Safe with exception depending on your personal preferences

This book by Staci Hart had me up in titters! From Molly saying she didn’t know her pussy could sweat to her being a disaster at softball 🤣. If you’ve ever watched Grey’s Anatomy, you’ll picture Lexi telling Sloane “teach me, teach me, teach me” over and over again while stripping and him crumpling at her feet, when you read this book.

Molly had to get away from her parents. My god, it was just downright creepy how suffocating they were so I’d want to get away too! She’s 24 and is plenty ready to be on her own so she buys this VERY old and run down home. Sadly it’s falling apart and she has no idea what she’s doing. Luckily her softball coach, older McDaddy hottie is there to save the day 😉. Grey tries to convince himself he’s just looking out for her and Molly figures, “hmm 🤔 since you’re such a good coach, teach me how to drink” Molly has never had alcohol so she turns to him for advice. And THEN, since she’s so impressed with how fun and safe he made the drinking she’s like “hmm 🤔 how about you teach me the kissing! Or wait! Better yet how about you teach me the sex!”

So poor Grey does everything he can to resist- age gap and all but Molly set her sights on him so there’s no success there. I was so annoyed at the damn town. Just ew 😂.

The ending gives you a little twist but I will not spoil a thing! I highly recommend this book!

Thank you Staci Hart and Good Girls PR for this amazing opportunity to read this book in exchange from my honest review!

BATTER UP AND PUT ME IN COACH. OH LAWD. Stacit Hart has certainly entered her SPICY era…but with a story that has the same deft emotional resonance, heartfelt swooniness, cunning wit, and gentle existential pushes that I’ve always adored about her work. This is her best series to date, and this whole town has stolen my whole heart. And now she delivers a story with all my favorite tropes? This one is total catntip. And I’m a goner. DON’T SLEEP ON THIS SERIES Y’ALL! Sweetpot is heartfelt, full of heat, addictively adorable…and wildfly fun! This story pulls you in fast and does not let go.

Set in a cozy small town full of charm and judgment in equal measure,Sweet Spot delivers a slow burn age gap romance that feels both indulgent and emotionally grounded. Grey and Molly are the center of it all, and their connection is immediate even if they try to fight it. Grey is the gruff, routine driven baseball coach who keeps his world small and controlled. Molly is new to town, bright, curious, and finally stepping into a life of her own after breaking away from an overbearing past. On paper, they should not work. In reality, they fit in a way that is hard to ignore.

What makes their relationship stand out is the balance between chemistry and growth. The attraction is undeniable and the tension builds at a steady pace, but there is also a strong emotional core underneath it. Both characters are working through their own histories and fears, and that adds weight to every choice they make. Grey’s protectiveness and internal conflict feel layered rather than overdone, while Molly’s development is especially satisfying as she learns to stand her ground and দাবি the life she wants.

Their dynamic thrives on contrast. He is guarded and hesitant. She is open and determined. The banter is playful and flirty, the quiet moments feel sincere, and when the story leans into its steamier side, it fully commits. The romance walks the line between fun and intense, giving you lighthearted moments alongside real emotional stakes.

The small town setting plays a big role here. AND I LOVE ROSEVILLE SO MUCH! It adds warmth through its sense of community, but also introduces conflict through gossip and scrutiny. Their relationship is not just about their feelings for each other, but also about navigating outside opinions and deciding what is worth fighting for. There is even a touch of suspense woven in toward the later part of the story, which adds an extra layer without taking focus away from the romance.

Overall, this is a story that knows exactly what it is doing. Staci deftly delivers a wickedly sexy, luxuriously tropey story that still feels authentic, original, and substantive. It delivers swoon, spice, and emotional payoff in equal measure, with characters that feel easy to root for and that are beautifully rendered. The classic Staci Hart optimistic point of view about self-actualization and leaning into love still threads it all together…and it’s also just LOADS of fun. I hope this gets the audio treatment- it will be FANTASTIC!

I feel like I did not read the same book most of the reviewers read. because wow, this book needed trigger warnings.

not one, but two kidnappings? one off pages almost twenty years prior and then one on page. I know the synopsis mentioned danger but frankly the kidnappings felt like they belonged in a different book.

also, frankly, I got bored. the sex scenes took the place of character building and the book could have easily been 30% shorter. because it was also in desperate need of editing. there's so many typos and sentence fragments and I really felt like I was reading a draft not meant for publication.

I generally enjoy this author but this one really makes me wish I could get my time back.

I loved this one!! I’m always excited to devour an age gap book, but this one was fantastic!!

Molly & Grey were everything!! The chemistry in this one was so evident & made you want more!! This one had me hooked with the added drama, suspense, and emotion added in! Let’s not forget the absolute heat this book had!! Yess! Perfection!!

Molly is a strong know what she wants school librarian, who is a little inexperienced & you have Grey, the moody & much older coach who is here to teach her a thing or two 😉

This was my first book by Staci Hart & it absolutely will not be my last.

If you love an age gap, Smalltown, grumpy/sunshine and a book that gets steamy, this will absolutely be one for you!!

i was vibing with this at the beginning, but there is literally no reason this book needed to be as long as it was. i truly thought i was getting close to the end because we had a solid conflict and resolution, but then i look down and we’re somehow only at 50%???? the second half of the book literally felt like a second story i was SO thrown off by it. also insanely littered with typos but it is what it is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Did someone say it's officially baseball season? Because, "Batter up, babygirl!" It's time for a spicy age gap romance from Staci Hart!!

Sweet Spot is the third book in the Roseville Ramblers series and it is not for the faint of heart. Grey is the grumpy, keeps to himself, high school baseball coach. He prefers his nightly routine of a frozen burrito to drinks out with friends. But when Molly, the school librarian shows up all young, innocent, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed to Roseville, there is something about her positive spirit that calls out to Grey and he can't let the thought of her go. Where she goes, he blindly follows. And when she needs a little extra help with her baseball skills, Grey is the one to teach her. But that soon leads to fixing up her rundown house, followed by lessons that they have to keep secret. And boy do those lessons light up the pages!! Whoo Hee! My kindle may have caught fire!

After reading the first two books in this series, I had been entirely way too intrigued with Molly and Grey. They may have been supporting characters, but their story was calling to me. I love an opposites attract age gap and combine that with spicy lessons?! Well, all I'll say is HOT DAMN! These two crash into each other's worlds and balance each other perfectly. From their developing friendship, to their undeniable attraction, these two just had that IT factor. Fun, flirty, and sexy, but also with just the right amount of emotional that allows their characters to grow.

'I catch a glimpse of my future and pray it's not me who will end up with regrets.'

Staci Hart grabs you with the humor and the abundance of spice (please pay attention to her chapter titles, because they are perfection), but she keeps you with the obstacles the characters face, allowing us to understand the connection Molly and Grey so easily had. They are pure spicy magic!

"God, I love you so fucking much, I'd fight my way through hell for you. There is nothing-nothing that will change that. Let them come for me. Stay and let me love you. I don't care about anything else."

If you like:
Small Town
Age Gap
Rom Com
Spicy Lessons
School Librarian/HS Baseball coach
Forbidden
"Put me in, Coach"
Fixer Upper house
With a dash of suspense to get your heart beating, then Sweet Spot is not to be missed.
I did think it was a tad long, but I loved the way the relationship evolved and how Grey allowed himself to be loved and Molly grew and accepted her desires were all too real. I can't wait for what's to come next in this series, because that tease at the end? Let's effin go!!

I've been unsure how to review this one. On the one hand, there is a cute romance between likeable main characters, some truly funny moments, spice, some intrigue and clever plot twists.

On the other hand, the story was a bit long and repetitive in places, relied too heavily on innuendo and odd descriptions in sexy scenes (a lot of mewling, genital sweating, and an uncomfortable breakfast reference to a man's kielbasa, and her fertilised eggs). These descriptions personally gave me a reminder of the 50 Shades style of writing, which just isn't for me, though I know a lot would feel differently.

Grey and Molly are a great pairing. Grey has 20 years on inexperienced (in all aspects of life) Molly.

Molly wants Grey to teach her how to drink which leads to him teaching her a whole lot more, including how to kiss. It's a hot premise, and not at all sleazy or cheap. It was handled with care.

Grey struggles with the age gap and not wanting to take advantage, but he is also fascinated and charmed by Molly from the very beginning.
Molly knows what she wants and isn't afraid to ask for it. She also has a refreshing zest for life.

I will say there is a wonderfully funny raccoon incident, and that's all I'll give away.

You might enjoy this book if you love:
- Open door romance (spicy)
- Small-town romance
- Grumpy x sunshine
- Age gap
- Baseball
- Small town romance
- Dual POV

Sweet Spot will be released on March 26.

Thank you to Staci Hart and Good Girls PR for the complimentary copy of this book. The views and opinions expressed in this review are my own.

This was my first Staci art book and I really loved it! I went into this one with very little information on what to expect, and I'm really glad I did! I really loved getting to watch Molly's journey and how she was able to fight for herself and for what she wanted for herself and her future! Her journey through the absolute bonkers-ness she was put through was just beautiful to watch! And seeing Grey support her and protect her and teach her through it all was just amazing! He was the sweetest, swooniest grump and I just adored how he stayed by her through all the insanity! This whole crew was fun to get to know, and I loved the whole story! I absolutely loved Molly and Grey, and getting to watch them grow together through this story was just beautiful! Overall, this one was really good, and I felt like the whole vibe was perfect! 5 stars; 3.5 chili peppers

Tropes:
- Spicy Lessons
- Age Gap
- Forced Proximity
- Suspenseful Plot
- Baseball Romance
- Coach x Librarian

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️sweet, swoony, coach x librarian, and effortlessly charming to make for a total feel good delight

Staci weaved a gorgeous slow burn age gap romance with Sweet Spot. This was exactly the kind of romance that gave me all the cozy, soft, and tender slow burn magic that makes small town love stories so irresistible for me. I needed this breath of fresh air between my heavier reads.

🍓 The romance was pure sweetness. The gentle tension between the FMC and MMC were so sweet. I was kicking my feet at the banter. The connection felt deeply comforting in the age gap.
☕ The setting was a whole vibe with the café, the community, and the everyday rhythms their world created.
💗 The characters were so lovable and easily made me root for the FMC and MMC to come together.
✨ The writing was so poignant and I felt Staci's style.

I will reach for Staci's work when I want her charm. She was gloriously witty and heartfelt in this read. #gifted

Thank you Good Girls PR and Staci Hart for the gorgeous ebook ARC!

Molly and Grey are so cute together and I loved how they both couldn’t ignore the pull to each other from the very get go. This is actually an age gap romance (she’s 24/he’s 44) and of course that makes for the main conflict in the book.

Molly is a great character because despite her sheltered upbringing and terrible parents, she is all sunshine and isn’t afraid to put herself out there to try new things even if she knows she won’t be good at them. Grey is the perfect grumpy guy to coach her in just about everything.

I’m not sure if I’ve ever hated a small town more and I’m not sure I can forgive them anytime soon (everyone besides the close group of friends that is), but I was pleasantly surprised this book had a little suspense in it and it only made it that much better!

I am absolutely obsessed with this series. Staci is absolutely amazing and her stories and characters are mesmerizing!! I have yet to read a book by Staci that doesn’t have me hooked within the first 2 chapters. I am slowly working through her backlist and again, I have yet to be disappointed.
Grey and Molly are absolute perfection. The yearning, the tension, the drama is all spot on. An age gap romance, full of complex characters, tension, and spice - do I need to say more?? Well this story is lighthearted and fun, it is also full of depth, surprises and even a little suspense.
10/10, no notes. Staci Hart does it again! Read this series!

Okay this was equal parts hysterical, heartbreaking, and intense. I loved Grey and Molly’s relationship and the struggles they endured.

The evolution from softball lessons to sexy lessons is perfect 🤌🏻. The tropes were troping.

The ending was shocking and so unexpected. I loved it! Totally rounds out the book well.

Sweet Spot is the third book in the Roseville Ramblers series. It’s a small town, age gap, sport romance. Staci writing is flawless with brilliant banter which you expect from Staci’s writing. I was intrigued by both Molly and Grey’s characters. Grey is a loner and doesn’t believe he deserves to be happy. Molly is the opposite she is the ray of sunshine, she is a librarian and moves to Roseville . I was laughing out loud at the banter and the inner thoughts. The story kept me hooked and was well written. Definitely a good and well written story.

Was kindly sent this as a Earc
In this book we meet molly who is 24 years old, her parent are very a controlling, which to me is abit crazy considering she is a full grown adult.
She decide she had enough of being isolated from the world and buys a house without telling them.
She works in a school and joins the teachers baseball team, where she meets Grey, the coach, he’s 20 years old and she has a crush.
She never been kissed, or done stuff normal people her age have done, like get drunk, she ask Grey to be her teacher for all the things she been to scared to do/try

Was a fun read I was getting I’ve never been kissed vibes from this book. While I enjoyed this book, and maybe its a me problem but I found the book to be too long, where it felt like parts were just thrown in to keep you engaged.
I would have loved if it had been shorter with more focus on just Molly and Grey. Molly parents have never let her do anything, so I would have loved to have more moment where she was just letting loose and experiencing things she should have done while being a teen. I wanted more grumpiness from Grey but I wasn’t getting that, it was definitely spice heavy.

Sweet Spot by Staci Hart completely blew me away I honestly didn’t know how she was going to top Hot Shot, but she absolutely delivered.

I loved every second of this book. It had me kicking my feet, smiling like an idiot, and fully wrapped up in the story from start to finish. And let’s talk about Wolf Daddy…he is EVERYTHING. Truly top-tier book boyfriend material.

The chemistry was off the charts, and the spice was definitely bringing the heat, but what really made this book stand out was the character development and the plot twists. Everything felt intentional, layered, and so well done.

Staci Hart seriously nailed this one I was genuinely sad when it ended because I didn’t want to leave these characters behind. Easily a favorite and a standout read for me!

I went into this really hopeful — the blurb was great, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed this author’s earlier books — but this one just didn’t land for me.

To be fair, Molly and Grey together were hot. Their chemistry, the tension, the slow build, and the actual sex scenes were genuinely well done. Those moments felt natural, intimate, and exactly what the book should’ve focused on. Which makes it even more frustrating that everything around their relationship was so messy.

The whole “teach me things I haven’t done before” premise had so much potential, but instead of letting that dynamic breathe, the story got weighed down by constant lying about feelings and an entire town acting like two consenting adults with an age gap were committing a moral crime. I understood why Grey was trying to protect Molly, but the judgmental‑town subplot was so overdone that it became exhausting. A little external pressure is fine; this felt like overkill.

And then the plot twists started piling up. Carlin being behind the rumors because he was butthurt she rejected him? The hostage situation? Molly’s parents being controlling to the point of suffocation? The sudden biological father reveal? None of it had the buildup it needed. It felt like the author kept tossing in new drama instead of developing the romance that should’ve been the heart of the story.

Honestly, this could’ve been a solid book if it had just focused on the relationship and the age gap. Instead, it turned into a jumble of subplots competing for attention. Add in some odd writing choices and noticeable typos, and it just didn’t feel like the same author whose earlier novels I enjoyed.

I was planning to read the rest of the series, but after this one, I don’t think I will.

Molly's finally out from her parents' oppressive control and has moved to a small town, taken the librarian position, and bought a fixer upper. She has always been so sheltered - think homeschooled, the whole nine yards - that she lacks experience in all sorts of things. Who better to ask for coaching from her new baseball coach, the seriously hot older baseball coach that she has an intense attraction to. If Grey says yes...she'll never be the same.

Grey has resisted the ray of sunshine that is Molly for as long as he could, but now that she's asked him to coach her, first in baseball, then in drinking, now in...other stuff, his restraint has snapped. Oh he knows it's wrong - he's far too old and grumpy for her, but he simply cannot resist her any longer. But when the town turns on them, then her parents, then outside forces, will the darkness he doesn't let out often, get the best of him?

I need me a wolf daddy! Just don't tell my husband 😉 Grey is intense and grumpy and entirely certain he's not good enough, or good for, his sunshiney Molly. He and Molly have deliciously spicy chemistry and such a beautiful emotional connection. He becomes her rock, especially near the end with her parents and the surprise twist did their best to hurt her. But though he's her rock, she's strong all on her own. I've been enjoying this small town series of Staci's so much and sweet sunshiney Molly and her grumpy wolf daddy have made me love it even more.

📚 Sweet Spot by Staci Hart
📅 July 7 - 9, 2026
Rating: ⭐️⭐️.⭐️ 2.75/5

My first Staci Hart book. I've always wanted to read a book of hers, and when I began Sweet Spot, I had no clue it's the third book of an interconnected series. That's why I couldn't really form a connection with all the side characters going around The Horseshoe bar. It's an easy, convenient read, especially if you're just looking to beat a book slump. I was easily hooked, and was able to finish it in three days—which was kind of fast, given the circumstances of my slow reading, at times. I like Staci Hart's short chapters. I also like the small-town vibes, but hated the consequences that came with it (AKA the entire neighborhood snooping around Molly and Grey's relationship which doesn't actually happen much in real life).

It's a light romance age-gap, which is totally opposite from my usual age-gap reads. Though they do form a cute couple, Molly and Grey's relationship was nowhere near slow burn. I've read reviews from people saying it is, but in my opinion, they got together real quick with NO actual emotional intimacy between them. What breaks a romance book's potential for me is when two characters don't exchange enough emotional connection before they fall in love. This book was all about the physical aspects of it, hence why I didn't love it enough to pass the three-star rating. I suppose I could round it off to that, but the standards I live with wouldn't be honest by then.

I did enjoy my time reading this, but the second half just dragged on for too long. The issue among Molly's family was also just unnecessary, and I've also never gotten anything out of Grey—who he was, really. It's all lacking for me, but I suppose it's what a reader would pay if they're looking for a light, quick read.

Anyway, it's a cozy read if you're a mood reader looking into a quick-stop romance book. But if you're opting for EMOTIONALLY WRECKING, beautiful, moving love story—Sweet Spot isn't the best option.

I did write several thoughts before I fully finished the book, so there's that.

👇👇👇

Current Thoughts | 75% In

• The author must've been unaware of the fact that SPICE doesn't equate INTIMACY. While Molly and Grey had a wholesome relationship from the start, the amount of spicy scenes in this book becomes questionable. It's less about the plot, more about what happens when they're finally alone together. Too much spice just really drags out the story in the long run, and 76% in, I was getting bored of it. Nothing happens outside the bedroom apart from people who talks about their forbidden romance, but what else does the book revolve around?

• The lack of internal conflict? Also questionable. Grey growing up with addict parents who left him as a kid doesn't make up for the fact that it's NOT enough of an internal conflict for me to feel bad for his character. He's amazing, sure, but what else tugs his heart? I want to know the WHY of his becoming, not just who he is around with Molly.

• Molly's cute, but as the main female character, she does have the weakest spots. I don't identify her as an individual outside of her relationship with Grey. Her character arc doesn't stand without the leading man, and it's disappointing to think about. Her being touch deprived and proposing the coaching lessons with Grey was too on the nose. Molly's flaw is similar to that of Grey, wherein they don't have internal flaws or conflict to focus the story with. It's either they have scenes together, or they're bland on their own.

• I badly needed a REAL CONFLICT other than people around town gossiping about their relationship. And honestly, it's hilarious how they're judging Molly for being in a relationship with Grey when she's TWENTY-FOUR. That's basically an adult. But, hey, the book needed a conflict—so why not make people talk, right? It's the easiest problem to come up with, given a plotline like this.

• Side characters were mere decorations for the story. Cass, Shelby, the others in school—all of them were flat characters with no motives or goals of their own. I can see why I couldn't care less about these people other than the two main characters.

• Literally for the first 75% of the book, nothing happens apart from Molly and Grey sneaking around, flirting. Tbh, if Staci Hart didn't have a good sense of humor, I wouldn't have continued reading on. The author was funny enough to make me laugh on some lines, so it feels like such a wasted time to DNF this. I just wish each chapters were interesting enough to keep me on my toes, but it's bland (apart from Molly and Grey's cute scenes together, but that's it).

• Carlin being the obsessive villain felt so rushed. I didn't even think his character had gotten enough spotlight to raise any suspicions. It's not a plot twist to me, but more of a convenient conflict before the story wrapped up.

💞💞

P.S. There are at least 20 typos and grammatical errors in this book. To the publishers: Were you really sure you had proofread this enough before sending it out to the world? 🤷‍♀️

🍑 eARC Review: Sweet Spot by Staci Hart

“ I must look like I’m starving, I’m sure, and not for breakfast. I mean, not unless breakfast is kielbasa a’la Greyson Mchotbooty. Serve it with a side of fertilized eggs and my buttered up, toasted heart.”

Molly finally escapes the suffocating control of her parents and decides to move away to a small town and take the librarian job at the local elementary school. She quickly learns she has been missing out on so many things while under her parents thumb, and she decides it’s time to try all the things she never got to. She joins the Teacher’s Softball league, where it’s quickly made clear she’s never thrown a ball a day in her life, and Coach Grey decides he will give her some lessons. Although she isn’t running off to join a minor league, she realizes she CAN do this and she can do things she never thought she would. Then she gets this crazy idea that maybe Coach Grey can teach her other things like drinking, smoking, and maybe even teach her how to kiss, and etc. 😉 Coach Grey is the town favorite, a stand up guy, a local, and someone who has been through a lot and deeply adored. Molly trust him explicitly and she can’t think of anyone better to experience her first with. Doesn’t hurt they both got this hot smoking tension between them.

As things are heating up between Molly and Grey, she is slowly getting the feeling that her parents are keeping something from her. Not only is she dealing with that, but the town finds out about their little romance and the rumors, side eyes and judgements start flying. As they are trying to deal with Molly’s parents, the looming secret, and the town trying to break them apart, they don’t see the real threat coming until it’s too late. After Grey rescues Molly, the town finally gives them a chance to breathe, hell bent on discovering more info in the latest scandal. Grey and Molly finally get to start living their life and building their new normal.

💕 What I Loved:
• I was hooked from the first page of this book because Molly is just so lovable and had me giggling in my seat with her sunshine personality and can do attitude. I really loved being inside her head and hearing all her inner dialogue and how sometimes what she thought, also slipped out.

• This book literally had me rolling over laughing between the banter, the sass, the inner thoughts, the RACCOONS🦝, and all the other little moments between Molly and Grey.

• Wolf daddy Grey has my whole heart and the way he was written, I felt like I could visualize every inch of his body as Molly was looking at it. He gives off the typical alpha vibes but you can quickly see, he’s got a huge soft spot, especially when it comes to Molly. I DEVOUR the type of MMC who is grumpy with everyone else but the FMC.

• You give me a slow burn, forbidden, can’t stay away type of romance, and I will grovel every single time. This book was written exceptionally well with making sure it kept me longing for more and more. I mean, I stayed up till 2am reading one night because I had to know what was going to happen next!

• Although I love a hot steamy romance, which this book gave, it got even better toward the end with the massive twist of events and the suspense! The threat that ends up coming, I NEVER SUSPECTED IT. My mouth DROPPED. I was sitting there for a few minutes thinking W T F.

📚Is it for you?
If you love a small town romance, with slow burn, teach me, touch her and be unalived type of vibes…you HAVE to read this book! The forbidden aspect and the age gap gives it that extra little spice that kept me turning every page. I can’t forget to mention THE SPICE this book has is TOP TIER. I wasn’t expecting so much going into it, but whewww, it DELIVERED 🥵

Sweet Spot by Staci Hart (Roseville Ramblers, #3)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️🌶️

Molly is the archetypal girl next-door. With blonde short curls, frames sitting on her nose, and being an elementary school librarian—she fits perfectly in the small town of Roseville. Correspondingly, Grey Brooks is the typical grumpy male main character—hardly smiles, and exhibits an energy that commands attention. A man for all jobs is how the town folk describe him, and he does it all with little words.

‘Sweet Spot’ is addicting in its stretched out tension and longing of Molly and Grey’s love story. From the former’s inexperience to Grey’s strong resistance to exploring their chemistry, readers are pulled to the edge of their seat when it comes to their intimacy. Grey’s perusal of Molly is keen and attentive, he finds her clumsiness and excitement adorable and its translation towards attraction requires great resistance from him. With a significant age-gap, Staci Hart is forced into treading a line very carefully, where Grey is to not be portrayed as predatory. Especially with the bubbly and innocent nature of Molly.

Their relationship truly takes course once Molly asks Grey for ‘adult lessons’. From teaching her on how to get drunk for the first time, to taking weed, then to the ultimate goal—having sex—the two build a camaraderie and a bond quite quickly. Unfortunately, it’s the townspeople who find their relationship disturbing and difficult to understand. Once the most glorified person in Roseville, Grey is suffering under the judgemental eyes of people who have watched him grow up. As readers, we bear witness to how Molly and Grey fall in love, and it’s easy for us to see how they ease other’s insecurity and provide a unknowing comfort to Grey’s lack of family and Molly’s adulthood. Nonetheless, the opinions of the town folk are valid in their eyes, and the judgemental remarks are hard to stomach.

The emotions explored in this novel are raw and tumultuous. Molly and Grey are put through the wringer in order to prove their relationship to family and the townspeople. The rumours whispered are vile and detrimental to their relationship, yet through all of it, their foundation remains strong. The author truly does not shy away from the reality of being in a small-town and having a somewhat ‘controversial’ relationship. The reactions, consequences and emotions expressed are real and honest—availing the reader to become privy to the depravity of the rumour mill. As an audience you can’t help but admire the quality in their relationship. The constant reassurance and confidence in their love is unwavering during the plot, it’s ultimately endearing to see two individuals who have come from distinct backgrounds find solace and peace with one another.

The third instalment in ‘Roseville Ramblers’ does not only express the romance of a librarian and baseball coach, but a suspenseful telling in Molly’s parent’s unusual behaviours. From as early as she could remember, Molly has been smothered and supervised by her parents; and all in the name of her ‘protecting her’. Staci Hart takes on us on slightly turbulent character journey in this novel, where we witness the growth of Molly and Grey but an eerie side plot that avails an unhinged breakthrough near the end. I thoroughly enjoyed my reading experience, however, the moments of cringey and stereotypical dialogue mitigated the success of the novel.

I always fall in love with Staci’s stories, and Molly and Grey’s story captivated me from the start. I was excited to read their book and see how things would develop between them, especially since they had a big age gap and very different personalities. Grey and Molly’s steamy moments were my favorites, and I loved reading about the attraction they shared from the beginning.

Molly was new in Roseville, where she started working as the school librarian. She had finally bought a place of her own to escape her overbearing parents and to have something that truly belonged to her. She quickly became friends with Cass, who welcomed her into a close group that included Coach Grey. Molly felt attracted to him from the start, but since she had never had a boyfriend or any sexual experience, she focused on her job and on fixing her house.

Grey had lived in Roseville for years with his grandmother, and he worked as the town’s baseball coach. He was intrigued by Molly from the moment he saw her, but he believed he was too old for her, so he didn’t act on his feelings. When Molly joined the teachers’ baseball league, Grey started helping her improve her skills, and after seeing her house, he also wanted to help her fix it. They began spending a lot of time together, and I really enjoyed reading how comfortable they became with each other.

The tension between them was always there, and Molly trusted Grey, so she asked him to help her improve different aspects of her life. Grey initially helped her feel more confident, and later, when Molly suggested he give her “lessons” about relationships, he was hesitant due to their age gap and what people in town might think. In the end, he agreed. They set some rules to keep things casual, but every time they were together, their feelings and connection started to grow stronger.

Grey and Molly couldn’t get enough of each other, and it was nice to read how well they complemented one another despite their age difference. Their steamy scenes were very enjoyable, and I loved reading how their relationship evolved throughout the story. They went through some ups and downs after people in town found out about them, and although they spent some time apart, I liked how Grey eventually chose to fight for Molly and for what they felt for each other.

Molly also had some issues with her parents after moving away, especially when they found out about her relationship with Grey. I really liked how she finally stood up for herself and stopped letting them treat her like a child. Both Molly and Grey had to face challenges once their relationship became public, but I enjoyed seeing how everything worked out for them in the end and how they were able to be together without judgment.

It was also nice to read how Molly discovered the truth about her past and how she was able to build a relationship with her dad. Grey and Molly were perfect together, and I loved how they started their own family surrounded by friends.

I really enjoyed reading Molly and Grey’s interactions with their friends, and now I can’t wait to read Shelby and Tate’s story after all the banter between them throughout the series.

4 stars!

Sweet Spot is book three in the Roseville Ramblers series and it's so good to be back in Roseville, TN. Featuring Molly and Grey, their love story takes you on a wild ride with ups, downs, and curves you don't see coming. It's an age gap, forbidden, small town romance, and it's hard not to fall for these two the moment you meet them.

Molly is new to town and is finally on her own after living a very sheltered life under her parents' watch. She's twenty-four, excited to have a new job as the school librarian, a house to call her own, even if the house is in need of a lot of work, and friends that stick by her. She also just joined the teacher baseball league even though she has never played baseball but the hot coach, Grey, is there to help her learn. He is such a great coach, in fact, and so comfortable to be around, somehow Molly convinces him to be her coach for other things. Sexy things. What should be a casual learning experience turns into the opposite when feelings creep in and everyone has an opinion.

Molly is so sweet and naive but she knows what she wants and she wants Grey to teach her all the firsts she hasn't encountered yet. Grey is grumpy with everyone but Molly seems to bring some light to his life. She's like no one he's met before and it doesn't take long to see there is something special between them. Now, they are all sorts of sweet, especially Grey, but these two bring even more spice to the story as they discover just what Molly has been missing. It’s smoking hot, especially since they are keeping things a secret, making things even more intense.

When it comes out that these two are seeing each other, everything changes. It’s not easy for them and the challenges they face are frustrating. It seems like everyone is against them, and they need to figure out what is best for them. As stated above, there are major ups and downs as Molly and Grey try to navigate their feelings. Some of the drama is a little over the top and I was frustrated with how things were going. As we approached the end of the book, though, things made more sense and the drama bothered me less and less.

There was a twist I expected and thought that it would be the big reveal, but actually it's another curve ball that threw me for a loop. I had no idea the story was going to take the turn it did and I loved being surprised. I also loved the way it all played out. It was intense and kept me on the edge of my seat, and I couldn’t put the book down until it was resolved.

The first epilogue was fantastic and gave me just what I needed when it came to Molly and Grey. I am so glad we got their story and cannot wait for more from this group of characters. The second epilogue gives us a sneak peak into the fourth book of the series and I am so excited for that story.
