From the author of the Terminate the Other World! An unlikely dungeon master must create an awesome apiary army before his enemies smoke them out.
As a kind-hearted beekeeper, young Belissar was never one to boast about anything. But after he was rescued by a beneficial bee core and gifted a tower, life has certainly exceeded his wildest expectations. In fact, he’s become a serious contender in a world in which the unworthy very quickly become the unalived.
And that’s the ending a whole juggernaut of strong, nigh-eternal, highborn tower lords have in mind for Belissar. They’re on the way, and they want him annihilated—along with everything he’s ever created. But he isn’t about to run. He’s come too far, worked too hard, and sacrificed too much to abandon his hives, friends, and tower.
Instead, Belissar puts his mind and minions on total war footing (or buzzing). They’re not only developing monster bees that can heal, harm, or unleash hell but also training with his insects and allies to fight as one. Meanwhile, Belissar’s increasing his own power to a point that makes even him a bit nervous.
Unfortunately, he’s still massively outnumbered, outmatched, and soon to be out of luck. But what Belissar doesn’t know is that he’s not alone. He’s being watched by long-hidden eyes from another realm that find him quite . . . interesting. And they may hold the key to not just the hive’s survival but the future of their world.
The fourth volume of the hit LitRPG fantasy series—with more than four million views on Royal Road—now available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook!
Tropes unlikely hero, anthropomorphic animals, hive mind, natural leader, and unstoppable enemy.
The entertaining dungeon master story of Belissar (best king of course) and his bees continues where volume 3 left off. First with some development of the tower and its inhabitants, and later with the arrival of some unexpected guests who give both opportunities and risks. It is a solid addition to the series with entertaining characters, especially the bees, some solid litRPG (dungeon building) and intriguing world building. It is at times a bit slow paced, its origin as a web novel as such clear, and the numbers do dominate at times (mostly when discussing upgrades) while remaining a tad vague. Still, minor issues for the overall story which I would recommend to any dungeon core fan.
Bees, Bees, and more BEES! Grab the book and maybe some mead an enjoy!
I'ma Loving this series! Bees are AwesomeSauce! Names are precious in the Hive of Hives! And only three have them so far. There’s Niobee the King's personal Guardian, then there's the newly arrived Queen Velebee the Oracle, more than a wild Bee but not quite a Monster Bee, and Beero the humble soldier Bee who changed her fate. And once again Beero takes center stage as she continues learning magic, revolutionizing how magic is used... evolving to meet the demands of Spell formations. Improving the strength of the King's Hive! And Ohhhh hey, The Fair Folk knocked, entering through the recently added room housing the Fairy Grove. The first through was a Dungeon Master blessed by the Flower God and of course she immediately gifted Belissar with a special flower! Bees and Flowers what a Bee-fect match. The only downside was running into the last page just when it started getting really interesting. Wait, what! Sighhhh... drums fingers!!! So yeah grab the book or audiobook to find out what happens next...
The Bee Dungeon series continues to be a delight. The bees are fantastic characters in their own right and the steady building of the Tower and it's defenders are worth reading. Book three is clearly laying ground work for bigger events ahead but the series remains a favorite. Can't wait for 4 to come out.
A 14hr audio book. According to Goodreads, this is my 500th book Ive read, I see it as fitting for one of my fav LitRPG series. Following where the last book left off, the Bee dungeon makes more friends and new enemies. Overall, this book was way to short, or I enjoyed it so much that time went too quickly. I really hope the next 5 books come out soon.
I've been hooked since I started this series, and have thoroughly enjoyed each installment! Once again I have to wait for the next book, but this one proves that they are worth it!
