An absolute perfect example of “straight to the point.” A quick, fiery and incredibly sexy short story that doesn’t have a long, drawn out complexity, just immediate passion, with delicious characters. The perfect Quick Read! I will definitely be reading more of Sloane’s stories.
This book did not just bring the heat, it basically kicked the door down and set the whole room on fire. 🥵🔥 And somehow it still managed to be emotional, addictive, and completely impossible to put down.
Alyssa was such a fun heroine to follow. She’s bored with life, stuck in a disappointing relationship situation, and decides to actually do something about it with the money her grandma left her. Honestly? Iconic behavior. Instead of playing it safe she walks straight into the Sinful Desires Club ready to explore the fantasies she’s been hiding forever. The confidence mixed with nerves made her feel so real.
And then there’s Oliver Hayes… a massive hockey star who has been secretly wanting Alyssa for TWO YEARS. Two. Years. The tension between these two before anything even happens is unreal. The moment he realizes she’s the woman behind the green bracelet at the club? Yeah… the man absolutely loses the battle with his self control. I was practically kicking my feet reading those scenes because the chemistry is insane. 🫠
What I loved most is that Oliver tried to stay away because he thought his darker desires meant he wasn’t good enough for her. Meanwhile Alyssa is literally searching for someone who understands that exact side of her. The push and pull, the secrets, the moment the masks finally come off… it was delicious.
Also the hockey element just adds that extra layer of fun. Big powerful athlete who secretly worships the woman he wants but is terrified of crossing the line? Yes please. Sign me up every time.
This book is short, fast, and ridiculously addictive. The tension, the club atmosphere, the forbidden workplace connection, the hidden identities… it all blends together into one very spicy ride that I devoured in basically one sitting.
If you like: 🔥 hockey players with a possessive streak 🔥 secret identities and hidden desires 🔥 a heroine finally claiming what she wants 🔥 seriously spicy romance with actual chemistry
Then Green Bracelet will absolutely hit the spot. I am already desperate for more from this series because if book one is this hot… the rest are going to be wild. 🌶️📚
I will start out by saying that I was given an ARC copy to read and am giving my own opinion. This book was absolutely, deliciously spicy! I would definitely say that this is smut with just enough plot to give it a direction. I really enjoyed reading it and especially loved watching the chemistry between Alyssa and Hayes explode. This book is perfect for when you want something short to read, but want all of the spice! Alyssa was given some money from her grandmother after passing with the explicit directions to do something fun with it, so she decides to get a membership at a local sex club. The first time she goes there, she runs into none other than Oliver Hayes, one of the stars of the hockey team that she works for. Oliver sees Alyssa at the club and decides to act on his attraction for her, but she doesn’t know it’s him (he’s wearing a mask) until he reveals his identity at the end. This leads to some back and forth between them, eventually leading to something else. While the book is short, it absolutely packs a punch! I absolutely loved reading it! Thank you so much to Freya Sloane and her team for letting me read the book! I really enjoyed it and appreciate the opportunity!
If you’re looking for plot… keep walking. Freya Sloane tells you upfront this novella is pure smut, and she absolutely delivers. It’s a quick, filthy little escapade about a photographer who joins a s3x club and promptly runs into the hockey player she’s been shooting all season. He’s had his eye on her for ages, and once he gets the chance, he does not hesitate.
Their chemistry is instant, intense, and completely unhinged in the best way. If you’re craving a fast hit of heat, possessiveness, and zero emotional heavy lifting, this one scratches the itch.
The author states up front this is short on plot, heavy on smut. And it's true, in the best way. The team photog joins a sex club trying to add some spice into her life & boy does she. Right away, with the player whose had his eye on her for a while. And even though the plot is understated, it's there, and does a great job to pull the reader through with some substance. The writing is well done, and the characters are fleshed out great for this short of a story. It was a nice hourish read, very enjoyable.
I read this short novella within 30 minutes at 12 in the morning, it got me hot under the cover and made me remember my own secret clubs I have been to and enjoyed myself at.
This book is for the people who are depraved, enjoy NSFW content, and enjoy vouyerism.
Do not be fooled by the photo although it's based around a hockey team and a player, hockey is not a vital part of this storyline, it just helps to set the scenes and the character relationships.
Worth the read if you're looking for a quick saucy book to read.
This book is exactly what you expect, and to be fair, its what is was sold as, an erotic novella with very little plot. While I did enjoy the book and breezed through it, I do feel like it was rushed. There was very little time spent at the club and developing the FMC's desire/kink on page, with a lot of the work being done off page, and the relationship between the MC's seemed to go from 0 to 100 in no time at all. It felt like a good idea and premise, just crammed into too short of a space.

If you are looking for a short spicy book with very little plot this is the one for you. Importantly, this is contain adult content that contains varying degrees of kinks, so please check trigger warnings before reading. This was a nice quick read with plenty of spice and little plot. It is a nice quick read that I finished in less than 2 hours. it is an okay read , that I did enjoy. overall I do recommend if you are looking for a nice quick spicy read.
10%Plot & 90%Spice This book gets right to it and I love it. Could this storyline been written as a 200+ page book? yes. Could there have been more plot to stretch everything out between the spice? again yes. Would I want this book to be written like that? Maybe but the way this book is written, its perfect just the way it is. Took me about 30 minutes to read and it is definitely a one-handed book ;-)
ARC Review: Short, sweet(ish) and to the point. It's pretty much all spice, no substance, but you know that's exactly what you're signing up for. Still, I think the spice could have been a little more fleshed out. I know that it's a novella, but I think the scenes would have benefited from additional detail, especially given the kinks this one covers. 3 ⭐
I received this as an ARC from.the author. This was deliciously spicy with enough of a storyline to keep it interesting. Tropes include - hockey player MMC, workplace romance (she's a photographer for the team), sex club and mega spice. If you are looking for a quick spicy read, this is it!
Spicy novella based around hockey player and social media photographer that work for the same hockey team find out that they have some kinks that work towards finding happiness with each other
The author promised spice, and she delivered! Alyssa is the hockey team photographer and Oliver is a player. He’s been obsessed with her for 2 years and when she shows up at the Sex club he’s also a member of, he sees it as his chance to finally have what he wants…her. There’s spice from the first scene to the last. Quick read. I enjoyed it!
