A deadly mistake. A stolen secret. And a protector who doesn’t trust anyone—until now.
Interior designer Eden Riley never expected a Valentine’s delivery to come with a cryptic artifact worth millions… or a gun aimed at her chest.
Within minutes, a man is dead. Armed operatives are hunting her. And the only person standing between her and certain death is a wounded stranger who just handcuffed her for her own protection.
Cain Foster—known as Ghost to the elite Guardian team—has spent his life operating in the shadows. When a legendary cryptocurrency disk tied to the dangerous Genesis Reserve resurfaces, betrayal strikes from inside his own ranks. Now foreign agents will stop at nothing to reclaim it.
And Eden is caught in the crossfire.
On the run through Nashville with enemies closing in, Cain must recover the disk before it unlocks a fortune powerful enough to fund global terror. But protecting Eden wasn’t part of the mission—and neither was falling for her.
Eden doesn’t know who to trust. Cain doesn’t trust anyone.
But as bullets fly and loyalties shatter, survival may depend on something neither of them planned faith, courage, and a love strong enough to stand in the line of fire.
Code of Deception is a gripping Christian romantic suspense filled with betrayal, international intrigue, high-speed pursuit, and a protector hero who will risk everything to keep her alive.
The Guardian Series continues with heart-pounding danger, tested faith, and love forged under fire.

I really wanted to love this. I liked the author's style of writing, though it reads a bit more like a screenplay than a novel.
There's lots of action, and the scenes are well written on the whole. But the plot left me with so many questions that just went unanswered. Were Rurik and Viktor two different bad guys or the same person? Because they seemed like they were the same person but I don't know why sometimes he was called Rurik, and other times Viktor... Why did Eden start off as Eden Campbell but then about half way through suddenly was Eden Shepherd? How did it seem like everything was happening pretty fast but then they've somehow been on the run for weeks or months rather than days? What happened to Cain's family? Why were there so many side characters who appeared in one or two scenes but then were never mentioned again??
