Cee Cee has done a fantastic job with her debut book. Scott is a monster who enjoys cutting and abusing his girlfriend, Sarah. A month after she breaks up with him, he kidnaps her and doles out more abuse. Luckily, she escapes and is able to go back home to her parent's house, after leaving the hospital. For months Sarah has been having dreams about a man she has never met. Mike Hart has been having dreams too. When Sarah realizes her parents aren't safe with Scott still out there, she sneaks away during the night. She has no particular destination in mind, just wants to put distance between Scott and her. What is going to happen after Mike and Sarah meet? Is Scott going to find Sarah? I highly recommend this book. Now, I'm going to read Book 2.

What a great story! It’s dark enough to scratch the surface of deviant, the sex scenes are hot enough to melt panties, and the story is original!
Sarah has just ended an abusive relationship and moved back in with her folks. Safety in numbers, right? Wrong. She is missing for over a month, and that is just the beginning of her wild adventures!
Mike is a cowboy. An alpha, hot, sexy, grey-eyed cowboy. He is also a very rich man. He can be a bit cocky, but after his ex-wife screwed him over, he has his defenses on high.
The dreams… they both have them of each other so when the story has them meeting for the first time, it’s as if they already know each other. This causes them both to proceed at lightning speed.
I really like how this story unfolds. You expect one thing, and find something entirely different. The two characters seem to try to fight what they are feeling, and that causes a lot of acting before knowing all the facts. Running is what Sarah does best, and she is at it again at the end of this book. I was tempted to see if I could climb in my Kindle and catch her for Mike, but I was not fast enough and she slipped away. On to book two! ~ Devlynn, 4 stars

Mike Hart has suffered his own tragedies and is not looking to fall in love. He has enough on his plate, being a single father and running his ranch and financial interests, to look for romance. And he isn’t in the market for that, no matter how much free time he has!
They’re in very different spots but somehow they are each dreaming each other so when they meet, is it an accident or simply fate ordained?
If I had to sum up this story in one word, it would have to be ‘surreal’. The explosive beginning has Sarah battling for her life while Mike is realizing his life is not what it seems. With the story being told alternately from both Sarah and Mike’s viewpoints, their voices lend stark emotion and honesty to events of violence, betrayal and heartache. Both are damaged in different ways and are struggling to find that balance where life can be good again.
Despite hearing their thoughts and feelings, I found myself having a hard time connecting with these characters. They had my sympathy for sure but, at times, their thoughts seemed scattered and hard to follow, especially Sarah’s. Given their backgrounds, and despite ‘knowing’ each other from their dreams, there was not a lot of lead up to their romance and things progressed really quickly.
I’ll definitely be looking for part two, though, as I’m invested now, and need to find out how this cliffhanger ending is resolved. ~ Diane, 3.5 stars

Great book by a new author. Sarah is running from an abusive ex-boyfriend who wants to kill her. She meets Mike and sparks fly from the first moment they meet. Neither of them realize they have found the person each of them have been dreaming about. That first encounter has a steamy scene and a fight at the end. Mike isn't a man who believes in the 'happy ever after' theory, not since he was burned by his wife's betrayal. All he's looking for is the next woman to warm his bed for the night. Sarah is running scared. When Sarah has an accident next day and it's Mike who rescues her, they discover the truth. But Sarah can't believe she's found her true love and Mike just wants to run now.
They finally give in to their desires. Everything seems rosy until Mike has to leave. All alone in the house, Sarah finds a painting that makes her think she was wrong about Mike and she does what she's been doing for a while now. Runs.
This is the first in a 3 book series and ends in a cliffhanger.

Wow what words I use. This is her debut novel and I just love it. Well written that I just devoured in a day. Beautiful story and beautiful character. I feel the pain of the heroine and love the way they crash together for the first time! Direct to the point of the story. Emotional wreck when they were together. I just love it! And I just bought the second. Love the story. Did I said that?? Must read!!!

Good first book of the series. Sarah has been through a pretty tough time and to escape from her past she moves from place to place. In a small town called Golden she meets Mike who just happens to be the man of her dreams...literally. There is great chemistry between the two characters and the attraction is easy to see from the start. This book ends in a cliffhanger and I'm looking forward to reading book 2 to see how the story unfolds.

Great start to this trilogy. Both Sarah and Mike come from troubled pasts, but can they put it all behind them to start a future?! So many questions left, can't wait to start book two!

Great debut book by and wonderful new author. Cee Cee Houston, takes the usual romance story and knocks it on the head. Yes, there's romance, there's a stunning alpha male in the shape of Mike Hart, a billionaire rancher who's been badly burned by his deceased wife. He's wary of relationships and shies away from them. Until he meets Sarah. She turns his world upside down and in a matter of hours he's desperate to keep her in his life. For good.

First of all I want to explain that I am NOT used to reading trilogies or series focusing on the same couple. That is why for me this book seemed slow in the build-up and took me some time getting into it. I liked that the story was taking place in a small town. Sarah was a very strong character, I really loved that about her. Also I loved that there was suspense in the beginning, I am hoping we will get that back in the next two books. Mike is very hot and a cowboy! I love cowboys!!! I don't mind insta-love so it didn't bother me in this book. They both dreamed about each other before actually meeting, which was on some other level - soulmates!! This book does end in a cliffhanger, but all the books are already released so NO WAITING ;)

This is the first book of the series. It for being a debut book is very well written. I enjoyed it! I can't wait to see what happens next.
