I dislike greatly when the book cover characters do not match the character description of the book. It's false advertisement. This should not be listed or advertised as IR romance IMHO.
I really am just going to stop reading books that show a Black woman on the cover and the description of her in the book doesn't match. A tan skinned Sabana "Bonnie" Reyes with wavy brown hair does not match the character on the cover.
Enjoyed Killian and Bonnie's journey to their HEA. Killian becomes mesmerized by Bonnie. She, too, is totally feeling him and falls hard. Even secrets won't keep Bonnie away from Killian. Love finds a way. Killian finds an outlet that satisfies his need and he and Bonnie live a loving life.
Some women need a different kind of chase when it comes to men. This was the case for Bonnie. She’s not looking for that romantic first dinner date kind of guy. She found out she actually prefers the kind that are going to hunt her down. But are loves the chase. It’s thrilling and wild. I loved this just for that reason. Sometimes the ladies, even the guys, like something wild that’s going to make the heart pound. That’s what sure got. And are loved every minute of it. And so did I. This was so great. First time I’ve read a story like this and I absolutely loved it.
This was a shocking romance for me if I am honest. Very well-written, with the amazing plot and character development the authors always deliver. It was intriguing to be inside the mind of a serial killer, Killian. The patterns, the thought process, the fact that the kill is just the result, the thrill is in the build-up; the hunt. Killian is a constructor. In everyone’s eyes he lives a perfectly normal, albeit a bit lonely/secluded life. He is above suspicion. And he does it for years! And then there comes Bonnie. He targets her after reading a guest book in a cabin he regularly visits – that’s how he selects his victims. But while following her to learn her routines, something happens. He finds himself intrigued by her. And gradually, the thrill he feels while chasing and killing, he finds it by interacting with her. But what will happen when unavoidably the truth comes out? How will Bonnie react? Will he get caught? You get the answers to every question. So, a great story overall within the fiction/novel realm. The serial killer finding a new obsession other than killing was a bit much for me as a whole and I definitely couldn’t connect with the characters as much but, to be fair, the blub told me exactly what I was getting myself into and despite my reservations, I still chose to read it so I it wouldn’t be fair to extract more stars because of my inability to connect with the characters because of that. So, 4 stars.

Bonnie is a too-stupid-to-live type. The cover is clearly a Black woman but in the books she's described differently with lighter skin and wavy hair. No woman who binges true crime could possibly be as naively trusting as she is. I did enjoy her overall nervous and insecure disposition. It felt real and honest and not just a "look how cute I am" moment.
Killian is fun at times, but really be ready to suspend ur disbelief when his entire identity changes overnight because he met the right woman. But he is consistent and a very steady counterpart to her chaos and in that way the relationship fit well.
The book didn't really go into much detail about how Bonnie is dealing with the ethics of it all after finding out and Killian's hobbies. It could've been a more interesting character study. If you're not going to include much spice, dive deeper onto the story at least.
What really sank the rating was all the fade to Black. The few scenes that were there (2 I think) were copy/paste the exact same. I was here for a quick spicy ready but unfortunately this didn't even deliver on that front.
Killian loves the planning, chase and the “accident” he will leave of his victims. He only feels that rush for a short time though. He picks his victims from people who write in the journal thats kept at the cabin. Bonnie goes up to a cabin for a bachelorette weekend. Not realizing it a serial killers when not rented. Bonnie writes in the journal at the cabin, like others who’ve stayed there before. Killian is intrigued by Bonnies entry, it feels different somehow. He never hunts in his home town, never meets his victims before he kills them. Bonnie changes that. Read to find out what happens between them to their HEA. Wonderful book, loved it!
For those of you who believe soulmates can be found in the shadows…
If you're tired of meet-cutes in coffee shops, Killer’s Bunny proves that Mr. Right might actually be the man hunting you through the woods. What started as a flippant death wish morphs into the ultimate first date.
Killian is the literal embodiment of a pure predator. His fixation on Bonnie turns what should be her worst nightmare into a dark fairytale. This isn't just a chase—it's a nerve-wracking courtship.

Killian is so hot🔥 🥵 I loved his character and how he was singularly focused on exploring how Bonnie made him feel and was changing him. Their sex was scorching. I need some of that in my life. This was a great read I was able to finish in a night and I will totally be reading more from this duo.
