Book was really good. Enjoyed it immensely.... BUT, the plot holes and continuity errors removed me from the story multiple times.
The biggest one was when she was interviewing Hannah and Simon about the custody battle... and she got the wrong people they fought against? It wasnt the wife's family, but Hannah's (also known as the baby daddy's/her brothers) family.
Would have rated higher but it drastically needs another proof read to increase the rating.

This is the story of Jack and Pauline. It’s your typical “misunderstanding” romance. Jack and Pauline were at school together. Jacks sister is Pauline’s best friend, and when they were younger Jack and Pauline began a behind doors romance. Jack, at one point, made a disparaging remark to his friends dismissing his feelings for Pauline and playing it off as though she’d always had an unreciprocated crush on him. She overheard his conversation and from that point forward, she refused to have anything to do with him. She wasn’t going to be a rich man’s, poor choice.
Fast forward seven years. Pauline has moved back to California to take care of her ailing grandmother. And of course, one of her first days back in Cali, she backs into Jacks sports car. He attempts to try to talk to her, but she shuts him down and ghosts him immediately. What does he do…. He goes and buys the company she works for and then systematically sets out to destroy every barrier she sets up. He wants her and he’s not going to stop until he gets her.
Another good book by this author. Jack knew what he wanted and he wanted Pauline. 4.5 🌟🌟🌟🌟
3 stars Good book I liked the characters and seeing the leads from the first 2 books. But, this great big “he broke my heart” thins from years ago, was silly. Completely silly. I guess if characters communicated, there wouldn’t be any romance books on the market. Jack was the same Hack he’s been in the books. But Pauline was much more assertive and seemed more together in Claudette’s book. She’s a bit meek and so very uncertain here. Still, I like the banter among the characters in Vale’s books.

There were some continuity errors from the 1st 2 books. It says that Simon & Hannah had the custody battle over Suzu with his ex-wife's parents. It was with Hannah's parents. The 2nd big one was the timeline. In the 1st book, Jack &Pauline were together at Michael and Claudette's wedding. In this book, Michael and Claudetye are married and Jack & Pauline haven't seen each other in 7 years. 3rd why didn't Hannah know Jack in the 2nd book. She grew up with Michael. Michael and Jack were best friends since like 3rd grade. Hannah should have known him.

This was amazing! I absolutely loved the flow if story. Jack for the most part was lost but determined to find out what happened. Pauline spent 7 years believing in something that's not true. This series was such a page turner! I always worry that I'll give out spoilers about the storyline! Great love story in the series! Each book, every character blended into a marvelous read! You won't be disappointed!!
Last but not least, Pauline and Jack’s Love Story. A break up 7 years before left both hurt. But Pauline moves back to California to be closer to her Grandmother that raised her. Jack buys the newspaper that Pauline works for and pursues her. He looks for answers to why she walked away years ago. And they start to reconnect & rediscover the love for each other. My favorite is still the first book but this one was also great too.

This story legitimately hit so close to home. If I could give 6 stars then I would. It felt like my own story was ripped from my brain and put on paper. I loved every moment of it cause the flow of it was on point. Might buy hard copy to make some written notes in too, first time I’ve ever wanted to do that.
The characters are not as well/developed as in other stories I have read. Pauline definitely cries more than a normal human being. And what does Jack actually do for a living that would allow him to just randomly buy and run a newspaper? I did not feel connected to any of the characters.
Delivered was a great book and characters were easy to love. This book flowed right along perfectly and I read it in 24 hours !! Because I started at book 3 and fell in love with secondary characters I’m now going to go back and read the others !!
Really enjoyed all 3 books. They don't keep repeating themselves, good storyline. Characters developed nicely and are amusing. Enjoyed the interaction between the various characters within all 3 books.
Enjoyed reading the interwoven stories of the characters as they came together for the final book. Good humor, some suspense and a heart full for the lovely couples.
