This book picked up where book 1 left off. It follows Eve and her friends as they continue learning to become Healers. They learn more about themselves and each other, and that even those who are supposed to be holy can be evil and corrupt. I absolutely loved this book, and I can't wait to see what comes next. If you like medical books and fantasy books, you will love this book. It is a five-star read that was hard to put down.

After reading the first book, I went into Healer’s Destiny: Torments and Treasures hoping things would really take off—but unfortunately, I was left a bit disappointed.

I was especially excited for this series because, as a nurse, the idea of a medical-based fantasy story really appealed to me. I kept hoping we’d see that concept fully come to life, but instead it still feels like the story is trying to find its footing.

At this point, being in the second book, I expected the characters to feel more fully developed. Instead, it still feels like we’re spending a lot of time building them rather than moving the story forward. It gives the impression that what could have been a strong single book has been stretched into a series.

Final verdict: two stars. I really wanted this series to work for me, but it hasn’t quite come together, and I don’t think I’ll be continuing on.

Loving thisbseries so far!!
I feel like these books are like getting to watch an episode of ER or Grey's Anatomy...but with magic!!
Picking up after book 1 with our FMC Eve, who is a drifter. And I love her magic, I think this ability would be so cool! Very realistic medical situations are mixed into this fantasy world so well!!

I am once again left with more questions than answers. And some of the things that happened were just left behind like they didn't happen at all.
