THE BLOOD CAPTIVE: She was the prize. Then she became their obsession. Now she’s the one thing standing between them and everything they’ve ever feared.
Kali has been captive to the underground vampire fights as their reward since she was just 8 years old. But once Gray shows up a very dangerous vampire things begin to change. Tho kali should be afraid of him she’s not. This one was so good I can’t wait for book 2 ma’am sitting on the edge of my seat not so patiently waiting 🥹😂 absolutely loved this book so good I didn’t want to put this book down. Y’all run and read this. Tropes: Captive, Touch her and die, Vampires, Soft Stalking, why choose and but not least forced proximity ⛓️🩸🤫
This book hooks you from the start. From the first sentence, it just grabs on to your heartstrings then pulls you down into it dramatically and comically. It’s a beautiful balance of dark elements and banter with a splash of tension! Brooo highly recommend and it’s beyond a 5⭐️ This book truly just placed itself in my heart and has no intentions of leaving. I am impatiently waiting for book 2🖤✨
I read "The Blood Captive" in one day, as I couldn't put it down. Paige Mohr has, once again, written unique, addictive book. It is filled with fantasy, drama, humor, suspense, romance, and intense spice. The major characters consist of a strong, but vulnerable 20yo woman who has been abducted and imprisoned since she was 8 years old and two 400yo vampire brothers who save her for complicated and delicious reasons. I don't want to give too many details/spoilers. I cannot wait for book 2!
The Blood Captive is an addicting, dark and sometimes funny vampire romance.
We follow Kali, a human, who was kidnapped at 8 years old to be held captive as a prize for this underground vampire fight club. Kali is 'marked' so her blood is intoxicating to vampires and held captive for 12 years. She becomes the prize for these vampire fights where whoever wins gets to drink her blood. This all changes when Gray, this dangerous vampire, shows up. Kali should be afraid but somehow she finds peace within Gray.. I don't want to give too much away and give spoilers.
I love how this story was written and even had me giggling through most of it even though there are dark elements. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a story with wit, touch her and die, morally gray mmc and why choose...
Kali has been captive for twelve years. She feeds the vampire with her blood. A new vampire comes in lets just say things get good. I highly recommend this!! Mrs Mohr, I need book 2 ASAP lol
This book said Fight Club for Vampires with her blood as the prize. Interesting!
The Blood Captive by Paige Mohr grabbed me from chapter ONE and literally never let go!
Kali has spent most of her life trapped inside an underground vampire fighting ring where her blood is used as a reward for the winners.
Then Gray enters the picture. He's dangerous, protective, slightly unhinged, and immediately locked onto HER. Possessive much?
And the second he shows up, everything changes. The entire dynamic, atmosphere, mood flips and changes.
The tension in this book is INSANE. Not just romantically either......the suspense, the danger, the constant feeling that something bad is about to happen had me STRESSED... in the best way!
But somehow this book also manages to be funny because I was constantly laughing. Gray and Reese’s banter was honestly one of my favorite parts.
You get vampires, forced proximity, touch her and die energy, soft stalking vibes, why choose tension, and a FMC that refuses to completely break despite everything she’s survived.
And listen…that ending?? Straight criminal behavior! Because now I desperately need the next book immediately.
Well played Paige Mohr. Well played!
Thanks to Paige Mohr for the book! All thoughts are my own.
Confession: Respectfully… Gray and Reese can both ruin my life
QOTD: Which fictional vampire would absolutely ruin your life.....but you’d allow it anyway?
🌟🌟🌟🌟 🌶️🌶️.5 Tropes Fated mates Forced proximity Touch her and 💀 MFM Brothers Vampires One bed
If you need a feel good light hearted dark romance, this book is perfect. Guaranteed to get you over that book slump hump.
Kali is a human caged in a vampire fighting ring, when gray, a vampire fighter gets transferred from another fighting ring facility. He immediately claims her and vows to protect her. There’s an instant connection and bond that forms as soon as they meet. The bond grows after he drinks her blood as a prize for winning a fight. The bond pushes them together, creating some unique situations that take place in a cage while 36 other vampires watch. As they’re planning a way to escape Reese, Gray’s brother joins the fun.
Reese and Gray’s banter is peak. Humor, awkward situations, unavoidable exhibitionism, mild dismemberment, and really good funny fight scenes. This book has a little bit of everything! Looking forward to book 2!
Ummm, so I am SCREAMING about this book!!! I couldn't put it down and devoured it in two days ❤️🔥 Paige, what did you do to me because I need book two, like NOW!! 😅
💜 Kali our FMC is quite literally a captive, surrounded by 38 vampires. Her blood is marked, irresistible, and like a song to the 38 blood thirsty vamps surrounding her. She's been in a cage. Locked up from the outside world and used for a single purpose: provide fuel for the 🩸 surrounding her. Her world is turned upside down when a menacing new prisoner enters captivity and is immediately drawn to her.
🩸 Gray "The casual strength in every gesture that reminds me exactly what he is- predator, monster, vampire."
🩸 Reese "But where Gray's bite felt like pure pleasure Eeese's feels like danger. Like adventure and excitement and something wild that refuses to be tamed."
🩸 Darius "The moment word spreads about what you are, every vampire within a hundred miles will be hunting you."
“You deserved someone who looks at every broken, jagged, difficult piece of you and calls it the most beautiful thing they’ve ever seen.”
Kali has been a captive for the past 12 years (since she was 8 years old). Drinking her blood is the reward to the winning vampire in an underground fighting ring. Her days are monotonous and dreary. That is until Gray shows up and becomes her fierce protector. Gray’s brother Reese soon follows and that is when the action and pace of the story really picks up.
Despite her circumstances, Kali is a strong, determined young woman. Gray and Reese were hysterical at times and I found myself enjoying their banter.
Tropes: • Forced proximity • One bed • Touch her and die • Why choose • Captive
Did I finish it in less than a day? Yeah. Could I put it down? No. GIMME THE NEXT ONE PAIGE, right now!
A few notes: Fuck Peter and his nasty behavior. I can't wait for the tension to snap with Darius. Give me a copy/paste version of Gray, please and thank you.
I understand every single tear that Kali shed after she escaped captivity. Every. Single. One. She's going to have a hell of a ride to get used to the amenities of the outside world.
A huge thanks to Paige for taking us on this journey.

The bond is unmistakable, undeniable, and unconditional for these 2 400 year old vampire MMCs and a 20 year old FMC who has been held captive since she was 8 as a reward, food, temptation… Their journey begins in a warehouse under lock and key but is nowhere close to being over once they reach Metalmark Manor.
Loved this book! Vampires, a human who has something special about her to be discovered, and leaves you on a cliffhanger that you cannot wait to know more about Kali, Gray, and Reese’s story!
