Before I started this book, I already had an idea of how I wanted the story to go. I was fully prepared for Mahogany to get in her Beyoncé Lemonade bag and completely boss up on Duke. But the way the author chose to end this story was honestly so beautifully done.

This book truly centered Mahogany and her journey of navigating life in the middle of so much uncertainty. I’ll be honest—I was never rooting for Mo and Duke to reconcile. But the fallout between them? Whew… that part definitely had me in my feelings, especially when it came to the kids.

Miss Candice wrote this story in such a vivid way that I often felt like I was right there in the middle of everything. The courthouse scene, the funeral, the moments when Mahogany returned to therapy—those scenes really pulled at my heartstrings.

I loved how Mahogany’s story ended. What stood out most to me was that the focus wasn’t centered around romance. Instead, it was about Mahogany choosing herself—something it felt like she was doing for the very first time in her life.

If I had one critique, I would have loved to see more of Mahogany in therapy. No shade to my girl, but it was definitely needed. Therapy played such an important role in her growth throughout each book, but in this last installment it felt a little glossed over. I also would have liked to see the storyline with her mother explored a bit more. At some point, Mo had to face some personal accountability for the choices she made and how those decisions shaped the trajectory of her life. At the end of the day, she chose to remain in a space where she wasn’t truly happy.

Overall though? This entire series is a straight BANGER. I would absolutely recommend it and will definitely be putting other people onto it. 🫶🏾📚

BOYYYYYYYYY did i hate Duke in this one!!!! I thought it was bad before, but Duke in this book took the cake fr. I wanted him to get unalived for the way he was moving & acting, but that would've been the easy way out. He was DEAD ASS wrong for everything! He was mad at everybody for some shit HE did that came back to bite him in the ass. Mahogany and Crescent tho? Whew. Their back and forth (mostly on Mo's part) was extremely annoying, but imma give sista some grace bc I know she was terrified of leaving and being alone. Especially having 4 kids and not having proper support from that fuck ass mama of hers. Mahogany wanted Crescent so bad and I hated how they ended, but it was needed. I was happy when they got (back) together fr. He was such a good man and I love that Mahogany was able to find herself and get all that she deserved. Beautifully written, wild ride with lots of emotions, Miss Candiace you did that. 4.5 from me!!!!!

Whole series 3/3.5. I enjoyed the storyline a lot. HOWEVER, i felt it was a lot of missed opportunities within the plot. Now im not a super smutty person, but i do feel because this books whole basis was a sex club, it needed more sex club scenes. I also didn’t like it took until 50 percent of BOOK three to get to the meat and bones of the story. Book two was mostly inner dialogue and inner thoughts, I do feel like this book could have been condensed to maybe two books.

Loved it

I really enjoyed this series. Very well written with great character development. What a great ending for Mahogany. She was a woman who wore a mask to hide her pain and poured her energy into others while neglecting her feelings. I was rooting for her to finally put herself first. I'm glad she got rid of Duke and becane a new Mahogany. The one who put herself first and stopped caring what others think. Crescent was definitely the man she needed in her life. He lived her unconditionally and reassured her that he had her back and willing to take things slow. Their journey was beautiful with the start of a new vhapter in life for them.

4.25/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Series

Spoiler** (kinda)

The finale!! This felt familiar. This series got me in my feelings!! ❤️❤️ The book starts with Mahogany already knowing about the baby, even though she wants to pretend she doesn’t. She had this whole plan to keep it to herself for a while, but she just couldn’t hold it in. When she finally confronts Ducati (he ain’t shit btw) it completely breaks her, and from there the story really shows her going through all the emotions. The book still takes a while for everything to come out to everyone else, and you see Mahogany struggling a lot and going back and forth because fear had her stuck for so long. Crescent really wanted her though and didn’t care about the situation. He was willing to take whatever little pieces of her she could give while she was trying to figure things out. He also goes through a lot of loss in this book, which adds another emotional layer.

At the end of the day I’m just happy my girl Mahogany finally chose herself because she deserved that happiness so much. A lot of her choices were tied to pressure from when she was younger, especially from her mom pushing her into that marriage and being so judgmental. For a long time Mahogany kept everything bottled up instead of talking to the people around her, which kept her stuck in that cycle of unhappiness. But once everything was finally out in the open you could really see the growth. She opened up, got closer with her sister, and let the people who loved her actually be there for her. The book does a little fast forward so you see her happy ending, but honestly I wanted more. I wanted to see more of the kids after the divorce and see them meet Crescent and accept their mom finally being happy.

Read the series!! ❤️❤️❤️

Guys, the series is done. I'm crying tears of joy for Mahogany and Crescent. First, I want to say Luke deserved all that came to him. This dude seemingly embarrassed not only himself but his wife, and Mahogany was just supposed to accept it and roll with the punches. Heck nah. I wanted to ring his neck through the book.

Mahogany definitely grew in this last book, although at the end you can see she is still working on not allowing others to deem her worthy, even with the baby announcement to Crescent. I was a little perturbed that she first stated her career was taking off and a baby would, in a way, derail her. Then again, maybe she was saying that because she didn't know how Crescent would take the news. I was really proud that she put that to the side and was honest with Crescent. I think Mahogany will always second-l guess, but at the same time, because Crescent shows up for her and loves her, he would push through her walls. We can only hope so.

Crescent, what a sweet soul. This guy really put his feelings on the line, although he was trying to walk away from Mahogany. But I can understand why. I would stress therapy for this couple. Both have been through a lot. Crescent with the passing of his daughter and mother, and Mahogany now in a different life with a new man and figuring out what is next.

I really enjoyed this series. Sad to see it come to an end, but it was time.

Happiness is Possible

This was such a beautiful, challenging, rollercoaster of an emotional journey. Watching Mahogany find herself was everything I wanted for her. That growth? That self-awareness? That strength? It was earned.

Now listen… some men can be selfish, self-absorbed, and completely clueless. But in the end, he did the work. He took accountability for the role he played in the downfall of their marriage, and that mattered. Growth is attractive. Ownership is necessary.

His mom though? Whew. I still don’t like her. It’s mothers like that who keep their sons believing wrong is right instead of teaching them that actions have consequences. Accountability starts at home.

And Mahogany’s mom? So disappointing. I don’t believe in being disrespectful toward our parents… but sometimes the truth needs to be spoken, even if it’s uncomfortable. She earned every word.

I’ve truly enjoyed all six books. This series will absolutely go down as one of my favorites. It gave depth, emotion, frustration, healing — all of it.

Signing off… on a sandy white beach 🤰🏾✨

I loved this book, I loved the character development, loved that she stuck to her guns and chose herself. Even liked his development even though he got on my nerves until about half way through. Loved the push and pull of Mahogany and Cresent. HOWEVER, I really want like two more chapters; a wedding scene, a birth scene, a family vacation with all her children, something 10 years in the future, I would have even taken a scene with just the two of them in future but showing how they're clearly happy, anything really. And yes, I am one of those readers who never want a good story to end, I could read about people's day to day once it's well written and full of romance. But, I will be content....... unless you want to give us another epilogue, I will take that too.

Absolutely Phenomenal!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
This was the absolute best completion of Mahogany’s story. This book was heavy and will pull at your emotions throughout the full story. I’m in so much awe at how well this was written! The characters inner thoughts were so powerful and provided so much insight.

I’m really trying not to give any spoilers. I do believe you can read Mahogany’s story as a standalone, but it is interconnected to Soul Ties and Saint.

Also the spice was descriptive and Nasty! 🥵😮‍💨

Side note: My girl Chanté (yes she is my namesake 😍) was right all along 🙃

READ THIS NOW! It’s the perfect story if you are looking for a book to really hold your attention! 💖

Mahogany had a lot of healing to do. This book was her wake up call for real, and I’m so glad she woke up. Choosing yourself, after years of putting everyone else first is such a challenge. Crescent wanted Mahogany, no matter how broken she was, and that wasn’t fair to him or her. They may have had a soul tie, but their timing was off. Ducati deserved dust. He didn’t deserve Mahogany and him blaming God for how things kept unfolding was laughable. I cried so much with this book, what Crescent and his family went thru with his mom took me to when I lost my own mother, and if you’ve lost your mother to illness, prepare for that part to break you!

The errors take it down to a 4.5 but the story was 5 star!

OMG! So I love Mahogany. She had me on pens and needles at Pandora's iykyk but her redemption story was so beautiful and she is so deserving of everything she received in the end. That mother of hers irritated my soul but was a constant reminder of why you always have to do what is best for yourself and ignore those who don't have your best interest in mind.
I was hesitant to continue the series after the first few books because I didn't feel the connection between the love interests but Mahogany gave me all of the feels!!! Strategically and beautifully written. Giving yourself Grace in the midst of a storm and having faith that God didn't bring you this far to let you down. Great job Miss Candice. I am excited to read more from your catalogue.

masterpiece

Miss Candice is an author that is not only incredibly talented, but her writing provokes emotion and deep thought. The soul ties series is one of the best series I’ve ever read!

Mahogany’s story is one of them stories that stick with you. You watched her grow and glow. Many women will see themselves in mahogany on some form or fashion. The emotion and intensity of the book was 5 star! You love to see a black woman being loved correctly. I can’t praise this story enough I mean Miss Candice writes for grown people, she puts real life situations, real life emotions at certain points you ask what would I do if I were her, if I were him?

If you haven’t read this series you’re missing out cause Miss Candice put her foot in this series!

Pefection

The absolute growth and the complexities of each character, just wow. The reality of this story 5 stars.
Miss Candice you took us on a journey of happiness, heartbreak, redemption, and rebirths. This series was not only what can be call relatable, but also what it looks like for a sowing and reaping season. That is met by accountability and acceptance. Picture perfect doesn’t always mean happiness but choosing you when will always be prefect. Outstanding story telling.

Such a beautifully written book

I have absolutely feel in love with Miss Candice and her writing! Mahogany’s reminds me so much of me (where I used to be and what/who I’ve grown into now)!!! I am so happy that she got what Sue truly deserves. As women and even men we have to learn to cut ties before we get to the point of loosing ourselves!! This will remain with me for awhile!! Great work!!

Exhausting that's what this was, exhausting!!

I will say that Miss Candice left the best for last. Because I almost did not read this final installment. I'm glad I did.

I want to say Mahogany deserved her happy ending, but it's almost as though she did just as much dirt, if not more dirt than Duke did and still skipped off into the sunset.

This was really well written Tom-Foolery at its finest!

I just need to say I’m so happy for Mahogany and Crescent. Duke got the misery he deserved. I was so happy with that office scene, so his chest could hurt in all the ways he made my girls chest hurt. To say Duke was self absorbed would be and understatement. The way he acted as if he never did anything to Mahogany to make her leave him was the ultimate delusion. Mahogany deserved Crescent and he deserved Mahogany at her most healed self.

❤️😡😭❤️🔥🔥

So many emotions. The audacity of Duke. Did he really go off on Mahogany and blamed her? Unbelievable ‼️. The kids took it better than expected. I’m glad they were able to maintain a relationship with their dad.

Mahogany deserved better. The way she checked her mom was applauding. She did right. I’m glad her sister supported her

Crescent, my heart broke for him. He was strong but even the strong needed support. I loved the fact that he found love again.

Beautifully written!

Miss Candice really took her time with the finale. It was well written and I loved the ending. It was such an emotional roller coaster and for a minute I was unsure how it would end. I loved Mahogany’s character development and even Duke and Crescent. The only character I was mad at was Eve.

First of all. Thank you Miss. Candice for taking me on this journey with Mahogany. Getting to know and understanding her was a build up. There were moments in this book that had my face wet and other that had me giggling. Overall I felt this book in my soul. Job well done 👏🏾

Loved this series

I really loved seeing Mahogany's growth and what was best for her finally. This book made me blush, happy, sad, pissed df off, and literally cried my eyes out. The character development in this book was amazing. I don't want to spoil the book, so sit down, get comfy, and flip some pages.

Good Overall

Overall I enjoyed the entire series. Definitely worth reading. I thought this book was written well. However this, like other books in the series, was too long. Many points were overly repetitive and could have been cut short. There were some parts that seemed quickly glossed over for the sake of having closure. I also didn’t care for the cliché ending.

Mahogany-soul ties 6

Mahogany finally chose herself after Duke and their marriage falling into shambles. Duke realized he no longer stood a chance to make things right with Mahogany and finally stepped to the side. Crescent found his happiness in Mahogany and they finally got it right.

Great Story, but please proofread your book!

This was such a great story, filled with so many emotional roller coasters. I love how the author ended the story! I’m glad she got her happy ending. Couldn’t give it 5 stars because the grammatical and spelling errors were sloppy and everywhere.

Lovely!

The series is lovely. I'm glad that they are not together in the end. I'm glad Mahogany stuck to what she was going to do. Most books will have the name character do real dirt, and the wives of girlfriend always stay.

perfect ending

I was so happy that Mo didn’t take Duke back, years of lying, cheating, and disrespecting her and she finally had enough. Crescent was everything!! I’m so glad she finally let him love her correctly. This story was so well written, full of emotion and realism.

Hands down the best book in the series! I laughed, cried, beefed with fictional characters, and smiled. I loved seeing Mahogany and Duke evolve from the beginning of the series to now. I also love how hard Gabe rode for his mama. This book gave me everything I needed and more. 👏🏾👏🏾

I enjoyed this book until the epilogue lol. It annoyed me. Other than that it was a good end to the series. She really captured the audacity men have in Duke. He was absolutely ridiculous and I was wishing the worst for him at every turn.
