As the line between myth and memory fractures, Elara is forced to confront a terrifying

Felicity J Rumble is an Australian author of Māori and European descent, based in Canberra. A mother of five, she writes stories that blur the line between mythology, memory, consciousness and the hidden architecture of reality.

Her work is drawn to the space where the cosmic meets the deeply human- where ancient truths, emotional survival and the search for meaning collide. Through layered speculative fiction, philosophical themes, and emotionally grounded storytelling, she explores the idea that nothing is random, no life is insignificant, and even suffering may carry a deeper pattern.

She wrote The Resonance Cycle because it didn't exist yet- and because somewhere out there is a woman who needs to know she was never broken.
She was being rebuilt.

Sonorous completely surprised me in the best possible way. From the very first pages, I felt pulled into Elara’s world, A place where dreams, ancient symbolism, and unexplained phenomena begin to blur together. The idea that a simple dream could evolve into a viral article and then unravel into something much deeper was fascinating. The author does an incredible job of building tension slowly while letting the mystery unfold piece by piece.

What I loved most was the way mythology, psychology, and mystery intertwine. The symbols appearing across cultures and the eerie suggestion that myth might actually be memory created such a thought-provoking reading experience. It’s the kind of book that stays in your mind even after you put it down.

If you enjoy stories that challenge the way you think about history, myth, and the unknown, this book is absolutely worth reading. I would happily recommend Sonorous to readers who love intelligent speculative fiction and atmospheric mysteries. It’s a captivating story that keeps you curious until the very end.

What I loved most about Sonorous is the atmosphere. From the moment Elara begins describing her dream, there is a quiet sense that something ancient is awakening beneath the surface of the world. Felicity J. Rumble writes with remarkable subtlety, allowing the mystery to unfold gradually rather than forcing dramatic revelations too quickly. The idea that a simple article could trigger global discussions about shared symbols is fascinating. Readers in the story begin connecting patterns across cultures that should not logically match, which creates an intellectual puzzle that pulled me deeper into the narrative.

The dream imagery is especially powerful. The grave field and the jackal figure feel symbolic without being overly explained, allowing readers to interpret their meaning alongside the protagonist. As someone who enjoys books that combine mythology, psychology, and speculative ideas, I would gladly recommend this novel to other readers looking for something mysterious and intellectually engaging.

This book surprised me in the best possible way. Sonorous begins with a simple premise but gradually expands into something far more complex and fascinating. Felicity J. Rumble creates an atmosphere of mystery that grows steadily stronger as Elara begins to realize her dreams might be connected to something ancient and universal. The writing style is thoughtful and immersive. I found myself pausing several times just to appreciate how cleverly the author connects cultural symbols and historical echoes. The idea that myths might be encoded memories shared across civilizations is both unsettling and exciting.

Elara’s internal struggle adds emotional depth. She wants to ignore what is happening, yet her curiosity pushes her to investigate further. That tension keeps the story engaging.

As a longtime reader of speculative fiction, I would warmly recommend Sonorous to anyone who enjoys thought-provoking stories about mythology, consciousness, and hidden patterns in history.

Sonorous stands out because it feels both ancient and modern at the same time. The story begins in the very contemporary world of online journalism and viral articles, yet it slowly opens the door to something far older than recorded history. Elara’s accidental discovery is what makes the story so compelling. She never intended to write anything significant, yet the response to her article suggests she has tapped into something much deeper. Watching her navigate the growing mystery is both thrilling and unsettling.

Felicity J. Rumble’s writing is elegant and thoughtful. The pacing allows readers to fully absorb the implications of each discovery. I would highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy speculative fiction that challenges how we think about mythology, history, and the collective human memory.

Some books entertain you while you read them. Others continue to make you think long after you close the final chapter. Sonorous belongs firmly in the second category. The central idea that myth might be remembered experience rather than invented story is incredibly compelling. Felicity J. Rumble handles this concept with intelligence and care, allowing readers to explore the possibility alongside Elara.

The dream sequences are vivid and slightly unsettling in the best way. They feel symbolic and layered, hinting at deeper meanings that unfold gradually. As a reader who enjoys thoughtful and imaginative fiction, I would definitely recommend Sonorous to other book lovers looking for something mysterious, philosophical, and unique.

What impressed me most about Sonorous is how original the concept feels. Many books explore mythology, but very few approach it through the lens of shared memory and hidden frequencies.

Elara’s journey from accidental viral writer to reluctant investigator feels authentic. Her curiosity mirrors the reader’s own growing fascination with the mystery.

The author does a wonderful job blending suspense with philosophical questions about history, belief, and perception.

I would warmly recommend this book to readers who enjoy speculative fiction that stimulates both imagination and intellect.

Felicity J. Rumble has written a story that rewards careful reading. Every chapter seems to reveal another layer of meaning or symbolism. The patterns emerging from Elara’s article create a fascinating web connecting different cultures and eras.

The tension builds slowly but effectively. Each new discovery raises more questions about what these symbols represent and why they appear in Elara’s dreams.

As a reader who enjoys thoughtful and mysterious fiction, I found this book incredibly engaging. I would gladly recommend it to anyone who enjoys novels that explore the intersection of myth, history, and imagination.

Sonorous is a wonderful example of how speculative fiction can explore profound ideas without losing its sense of mystery. The idea that certain frequencies or patterns might exist beneath the surface of human history is fascinating. Elara’s decision to investigate rather than ignore the phenomenon drives the story forward in an exciting way. Each discovery adds depth to the narrative while raising new questions. Felicity J. Rumble’s writing is elegant and immersive, making it easy to become absorbed in the story.

I would highly recommend this novel to other book lovers who enjoy intelligent, mysterious stories that explore the deeper connections between myth, memory, and reality.

Reading Sonorous felt like uncovering fragments of a forgotten story hidden within human history. Felicity J. Rumble creates an atmosphere where every symbol and dream feels significant. The jackal-headed figure is one of the most memorable elements of the story. It appears not simply as a frightening image but as a symbol of something ancient watching and waiting.

As someone who enjoys mythological themes and philosophical questions about memory and history, I found this book deeply satisfying. I would happily recommend it to other readers who enjoy thoughtful and imaginative fiction.

Sonorous pulled me in almost immediately. The mix of mystery, mythology, dreams, and psychological tension felt really unique and atmospheric. I especially loved how the story slowly blurs the line between memory, myth, and reality in a way that keeps you thinking even after reading. The concept behind the resonance and ancient frequencies was genuinely intriguing, and Elara already feels like a character with a deeper journey ahead. Definitely a strong and memorable start to the series.

A gripping and atmospheric read that blurs the line between myth and reality. The concept of a viral article born from a dream evolving into something far more ancient and unsettling is both original and haunting. I especially enjoyed the recurring symbols and the slow realization that the “dreams” may be part of something larger and real. It’s mysterious, thought-provoking, and stays with you after you finish.

One of the strongest aspects of Sonorous is how naturally the characters evolve through their relationships and personal struggles. Nothing feels exaggerated; instead, emotions build subtly and realistically. The family dynamics especially ground the story, giving weight to the supernatural events. It’s a thoughtful, emotionally intelligent novel that balances intimacy with a growing sense of mystery and depth throughout.

Sonorous appears to be the opening entry in The Resonance Cycle, setting up a world infused with magic, inner resonance, and perhaps metaphysical threads. While detailed plot summaries are not widely published yet, author teasers indicate themes of identity, transformation, and emotional resonance, writing from a place of personal experience and intensity.
