Bad Bunny

Rate this book

He’s not the Easter Bunny.

When Nora brings a fluffy white rabbit into her kindergarten classroom, she expects squeals, giggles, and maybe a science lesson about spring.

What she doesn’t expect is for the rabbit to bite her.
Or to shift into a six-foot-five, battle-wounded man with the face of a fallen god.
What she really doesn’t expect…
…is for him to be naked.

He claims he’s a prince.
He claims he’s being hunted.
He claims there’s an enchanted sword powerful enough to save his kingdom — and he needs her help to find it.

She thinks he’s insane.
He knows she’s his.

Bonded.
Fated.
Mates.

Sorren is not from her world.
He’s older. Wilder.
Royal. And on the run.

This Easter, the hunt begins.

Not for eggs.

For a throne.
For survival.
For her.

Because once a prince claims his mate…
He doesn’t let her go.

Bad Bunny is a steamy page-turning, heart-pounding, swoony bunny shifter fantasy featuring a possessive prince, fated mates, forced proximity, enchanted weapons, ancient magic, and a heroine who refuses to bow to destiny.
Perfect for readers who love paranormal romance, fantasy shifters, protective alpha heroes, and high-stakes romantic adventure.

This was my first time reading a bunny shifter romance and I have to say I had a lot of fun doing it!!! Being bitten by a bunny has a whole new different meaning now...

After the bunny she found bites her, he turns into a gorgeous man.. A prince, running from his realm after his uncle tried to kill him to take his throne.. Nora is his mate and Sorren is desperate to find a way to protect her and to find the sword that will end his uncle.. They embark on a adventure to earn those favors from a magical vault hidden inside an Easter golden egg.. His uncle and his man are at their trail and as their connection deepens, the stakes are becoming a lot higher..

Nora was fierce and kind, always ready to help and she took everything happening pretty well honestly. I loved her drive and how confident she was, even when she had doubts..
Sorren was protective and honest and loved her right. He accepted the help he needed and was ready to do anything to make sure she's safe. I do wish we learned more about his world though.
Their story was a little rushed and it did need more development, but it was cute and filled with adventure and some uncertainty. The bitting, the healing, the butterflies and the love that conquers all..

It was a quick and entertaining story, the mission to find the sword and the necklace, the magic, the trials to prove their worth and the final confrontation that could end it all.. I loved the progression, and although everything happened fast, I do think that the mates aspect made it more believable.

I say this every time I read her novellas, but she really does know how to write them. They are always different, but always so fun. I need her to never stop!!!

*Thank you to Netgalley, to the author and to Victory Editing for providing me with an ARC.*

“I have marked you. I—” He falters. “We are tied now, you and me. To my uncle, we are the same.”
“Excuse me?” I practically shriek. “Marked?” I repeat, even louder. “As in what? Like a Sharpie? A Post-it note?”

I was cracking up through this whole book, and honestly… I had way more fun with it than I expected. It’s super fast-paced (very much novella energy), but it kept me hooked the entire time. 😌

The humor balanced out the whole intense, fated mates, possessive prince chaos so well, and even when I was side-eyeing the plot like where do people come up with this, I was still fully entertained.

It’s definitely quick and not super deep, but as a fun, slightly unhinged read, it delivered. solid 4 stars 👏🏼

Thank you Netgalley, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, & Lexi Davis for allowing me to read this arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Came for the title, stayed for the plot

I mean. The title makes me wanna dance 💅, but I also wanted to read an Easter ish story (yes, I’m aware I’m a week late here 😅), and, man…

THIS DELIVERED!!! 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

Not because it’s about Easter, but because it had an interesting plot line with a BUNNY shifter 👀…

Which I’ve never read before, so I HAD to 👀.

Nora’s a kindergarten teacher and has a bunny for her classroom, which her students all love to be around ❤️. One day, the cute little bunny bites her and then eventually transforms into a 6 foot five, muscular hottie 👀, Sorren 😉.

Nothing cuddly about him 🥵.

Because they’re bonded and mates, he needs her help
finding a magical sword so that he could battle his uncle who’s trying to take over (his uncle also stabbed him, so he’s no ally to him 🤬).

So the hunt begins (and not for eggs 🤡…

Well, not the typical eggs we’d be expecting for Easter 🤡, but I digress 🤣).

Nora’s all about saving and helping people, and by helping Sorren, she’ll feel like she’ll accomplish a lot

Plus, the tension between them? Ufff

Let the forced proximity begin 😉

What I liked/loved:
— a Bunny shifter 😮‍💨. Cuddly as one thing and a brawny/muscular as the other 😮‍💨

— the 🔥. Although the Title says steamy, we only get two scenes 😅. Sorren shows Nora just how talented his tongue is 🥵less than halfway through and a little over 50% they solidify their mate bond 😉🔥💦

— the world building 👀. I was actually entertained and enjoying this new world 👏🏻

— Nora is a bad b 😮‍💨👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Who run the world? GIRLS GIRLS 😉

— the sweet stuff 🥹😭. Sorren is all about protecting his mate 😭

— ❤️❤️❤️ Magic can bind hearts. But love is stronger. Love is a choice. Every single day, we choose each other.

— the epilogue 🫶

What I wanted more of:
— for it to be longer

— more 🔥 lol

Overall, I loved this and plan to read more by this author

When Lexi Davis writes, I will read it! I’ve come to see her novellas as exciting little presents waiting for me to devour. I will say..this one surprised me.

I was not expecting a shape-shifting bunny turning into a whole man. Not only was I shocked, but my girl Nora couldn’t decide if she was more thrown off by the transformation itself… or by the fact that the bunny turned into a very attractive man. While shape-shifting isn’t usually a top trope for me, this one was honestly so fun.

Not only was it fun, but it had some bittersweet moments too. You have Nora dealing with this bunny-turned-man claiming to be her fated mate, all while someone is hunting both of them. Watching how they navigate such a strange and unexpected dynamic made for a really enjoyable read.

* I want to thank Netgalley and Lexi Davis for the ARC. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

First I loved that this was a holiday theme book, I've never read an Easter novella before (adult themed). I thought it was cute and funny. Some areas I was a little confused on, voices and plot seemed to stray. The ending overall saved and recaptured my attention, loved the ending! This wasn't my favorite novella by lexi but I still enjoyed it and it was a really great way to start my Easter weekend

She’s a school teacher and her bunny shifts into a naked, muscly man. What else do you need to know??? 😂

I really enjoyed this! It was adorable with likeable characters, including an MMC whose devotion was swoonworthy.

The plot was also surprisingly good (I did not pick up this book for the plot 😆), especially for a novella, with a few emotional beats that got me gooood.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the eARC in exchange for my review.

I didn't expect this story when I saw the cover. I was surprised from the first chapter; Easter Bunny shifter? Hello. I’m here for it 😁 I was immediately drawn into the story. I was laughing and giggling; it was super cute, fun and interesting.🥰
The writing was beautiful, fast, and clear. The story is very beautiful and different from what I've read before. I love it ❤️
I loved this book from beginning to end. There's just one thing I wished there were more details about the world, but other than that, it's so good 😊 oh and I love that picture of Sorren and Nora together it’s so pretty 😍

This is my first time reading a book by this author, and I'm so happy! I'll definitely read more of her books and books by Indie authors 🥰
It was a wonderful experience to discover this writer❤️

This book was a bit of a rollercoaster in the best way possible. It’s chaotic, a little dramatic, and very character focused which I loved.

There were parts that had me laughing, and others that caught me off guard emotionally. I do think the pacing was done really well, it kept my attention and I was curious to see how everything would unfold.

If you like messy characters, and a story that doesn’t feel overly polished or predictable, this is worth picking up for a quick and fun read!

This is such a fun take on shifter romance. I loved the creative concept with a bunny shifter around Easter. This novella has such detail other world magic and intense moments.

Nora- thrown into another world but through her kindness for a very strange (supposedly a bunny) her whole world changes within an instant.

Sorren-he tries everything he can to keep his kingdom from falling while discovering a bond he didn’t expect.

I loved the ending of this story because it absolutely made me smile and I felt satisfied with the ending. Definitely love this authors writing and will continue to read more of her work!

Oh, this book has more than earned its five-star rating from me! A spicy, bunny-shifter fantasy romance sounds bananas ("carrot" doesn't have a nice ring to it), but here? It works. Proof that any concept can be made possible by a skilled author.

To call this "smut" would be doing it a disservice. It's so much more than that. Bad Bunny is a well-written, high-quality work, period.

The pacing is incredible, and the writing is tight. In 116 pages, we see the characters meet, get to know each other, fall in love, face their own individual struggles, battle monsters, etc., etc. There is a whole novel's worth of material packed into 116 pages, but it doesn't feel rushed, or compressed, or dragged on, or anything like that. The pacing is just so good!

The characters, world, and plot are solidly well-developed, too.

And most importantly? Like all of Lexi Davis's works, this one brings joy. It leaves you feeling so much happier than you were when you first started reading it.

I received this ARC on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Good entry level Romantasy for someone like me. This is one of those books where:
You know it’s a bit ridiculous
You don’t care
You still finish it in one sitting
It’s not super deep or complex, but it’s fun, addictive, and exactly what it promises. A spicy, slightly chaotic romantasy escape.
I wouldn't be adverse to book recs similar to this.
Lexi Davis can do no wrong with her novellas!

Many thanks to Lexi Davis for providing me with a copy of the book for review via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

A Bunny shifter? Well that's a new one for me. Seriously, I am not even surprised anymore when it comes to shifter romances... The sky is the limit!

I read this around Easter...because obviously.

Nora is a kindergarten teacher who picked up a bunny from an odd man on the side of the road. Sorren is a prince...he is also technically the class pet now because Soren is a bunny shifter!

This story is fast and steamy. It's also pretty funny at times. If you enjoy fated mates, forced proximity, open door romance and want to go on a little magical adventure then go ahead and check out this novella.

Bad Bunny had me Hooked. 5 stars, and hands down my absolute favorite of what I’ve read from Lexi so far! Thank you so much, for the absolute pleasure of ARC reading for you again!!

Bad Bunny is a shifter fantasy. YES. You read that right. FANTASY. From the moment I picked it up I did not want to put it down. Nora, sweet Nora. Sweet but so fierce, is a human kindergarten teacher. She’s wound up with a cute little bunny she plans to bring for her class. But he’s no ordinary bunny. He’s a pesky thing that bites.. and apparently shifts into a 6 foot 5 sexy, ripped, naked Princeling claiming to be hunted, on the search for a mystical sword, and determined to save his kingdom. He needs her help, she thinks he’s crazy, he knows she’s his fated mate 👀🤭

This novella is fast paced, and perfect for those who love a good adventure and a steamy, heart pounding story. It truly grips you, not relinquishing its hold on you. The adventure was thrilling, the spice was spicin, the trials were thrilling and gripped you at every twist and turn. And finally, the MCs, lovable and relatable. I loved every second of it.

Nora may seem fragile, an elementary teacher with a broken heart and a sick mother, but beneath her softness lies fierce determination and a heart that refuses to falter. She trusts her instincts, even when they lead her into danger, proving that true strength is quiet but unbreakable. Sorren, a hunted heir to the throne, is her perfect counterpart, powerful yet gentle, carrying the weight of a kingdom while willing to sacrifice everything for his mate, his Nora. Together, they show that strength isn’t just physical, but found in the hardest choices. Blending human vulnerability with wild, magical power, this story delivers a unique twist on the Easter Bunny legend, an unforgettable emotional depth, and a message that lingers long after the end.

3 ⭐️ This bunny themed novella was quite cute and fun. When Nora’s new bunny suddenly turns out to be a prince from another realm, she has to help him defeat his evil uncle. Overall, I thought this was a fun novella, and I very much enjoyed both Nora and Sorren. I think I hoped it would be more of a Easter themed story, and not so much fantasy as it turned out to be somewhat midway through, but it was a fun time.

A big thank you to the author and NetGalley for providing me with and arc of Bad Bunny!

I love Lexi Davis’ holiday novellas! Fantasy is not my thing but I wanted to give this a shot.
It was pretty funny and absurd at times (him shifting into a bunny).

Since I’m not a big of fantasy, this really wasn’t my cup of tea. I would suggest it to someone who wants something short, cute, and has fantasy!

He’s not the Easter Bunny. Nora, expecting a cute classroom pet, is shocked when a fluffy rabbit transforms into Sorren, a six-foot-five prince who claims he’s being hunted and needs her help to find an enchanted sword to save his kingdom. Despite her skepticism, Sorren asserts they are bonded fated mates...

Here we go, just as I predicted—an Easter novella! This one is sure to delight my romantasy-loving friends, though I must admit it's a bit outside my usual genre, so I can't truly assess this book as thoroughly as I'd like. I've enjoyed the Christmas and Valentine's Day novellas, so I decided to give this one a shot. It was charming and sweet, especially with the little bunny royalty. I loved the first half, but I found myself a bit lost in the second half because I struggled to grasp Sorren's world. Similar to the St. Patrick's Day novella, this story is different—good different—but not entirely my cup of tea. Perhaps I should read the blurbs more carefully before diving in.

If you enjoy a spicy tale featuring a romantasy shape-shifting bunny and a story that transports you to a whole new world through a portal, then this is just what you need! Oh, and I can’t forget to mention that those covers are absolutely adorable!

Thank you, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, NetGalley, and Lexi Davis, for the DRC copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

ARC Review – Bad Bunny by Lexi Davis
Thank you to NetGalley, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, and Lexi Davis for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Lexi Davis is quickly becoming one of my auto-read authors, and this novella is another fun addition to her lineup.

Like her other novellas, this one is fast-paced, easy to devour, and packed with emotion—but Bad Bunny takes a whimsical turn into fantasy. Instead of her usual grounded settings, this story leans into magic, fate, and something a little more playful.

Important note: he’s not the Easter Bunny—but the inspiration is definitely there. Sorren is a powerful fae bunny shifter prince, and honestly… I was still all in.

Sorren and Nora’s connection is instant, which works well for the novella format. But what I really appreciated is that this story doesn’t just rely on fate—it challenges it. The strongest message here is that love is its own kind of magic, and Nora chooses it not because she’s destined to, but in spite of that destiny. That added an extra layer of depth that I really enjoyed.

Nora is easy to root for, and her ex Seth? I hope he steps on a Lego. Barefoot. Repeatedly.

As always, Lexi does a great job packing emotion into a short story without it feeling rushed. I was hooked from the start and read it straight through.

At 2.5🌶️, the spice fits the story well—present, but not overpowering, letting the emotional connection and fantasy elements shine.

Overall, this was fun, unique, and full of heart. Not my favorite of hers, but still a really enjoyable read.

Go in with an open mind, and Nora and Sorren will win you over. 🐰💛

First I want to say thank you to NetGalley and Lexi Davis for the chance to read and review Bad Bunny.

I can always count on Lexi to whisk me away from reality. I did not expect that to be in the form of a shape shifting bunny, but here we are. 😂
Nora was pretty funny, I found myself laughing the entire time.
I loved the trials going on. I was rooting for both Nora and Sorren the whole time.

I was skeptical going into this one because of the bunny shape shifter aspect but omg this was so cute and once again for how short these holiday novellas are, this author just has a way with making a meaningful connection between the FMC and MMC come alive! This one had action that you don’t typically see in her others and it made it that much more interesting! Still had amazing spice and the “bite” made it that much more 🔥🔥🔥

Listen up, my romantasy lovers! 📣 If you thought this was going to be a cute, innocent little holiday read... absolutely not! 🙅‍♀️ Lexi Davis brought the serious HEAT with Bad Bunny. 🐰🔥

Nora is just trying to be a good kindergarten teacher and care for her mom after getting dumped for being "boring." She acquires a bunny for her classroom... but plot twist! 🌪️ That bunny is actually Sorren, a Nordic god-like royal shifter who suddenly appears stark naked in her classroom. 👀💦

Sorren is on a deadly mission between worlds to find a weapon and avenge his murdered father, but the moment these two cross paths? It is game over. The fated mates bond takes over completely, and it grows stronger with every single "bite." 🫦

Tropes to devour:
🐰 Easter Shifter Prince
🏫 Kindergarten Teacher x Naked Man in Classroom
🛏️ Only One Bed
🔪 Touch Her & 💀
👑 Possessive Royal Mate
✨ Portals, Magic & The Golden Egg

As a proud hype girl on Lexi's street team, I am screaming from the rooftops for you to read this! 🗣️ It is packed with adventure, trials, suspense, and a dangerously possessive mate. The book is already out, so go get your copy right now! 🏃‍♀️💨💖
