He’s not the Easter Bunny.

When Nora brings a fluffy white rabbit into her kindergarten classroom, she expects squeals, giggles, and maybe a science lesson about spring.

What she doesn’t expect is for the rabbit to bite her.
Or to shift into a six-foot-five, battle-wounded man with the face of a fallen god.
What she really doesn’t expect…
…is for him to be naked.

He claims he’s a prince.
He claims he’s being hunted.
He claims there’s an enchanted sword powerful enough to save his kingdom — and he needs her help to find it.

She thinks he’s insane.
He knows she’s his.

Bonded.
Fated.
Mates.

Sorren is not from her world.
He’s older. Wilder.
Royal. And on the run.

This Easter, the hunt begins.

Not for eggs.

For a throne.
For survival.
For her.

Because once a prince claims his mate…
He doesn’t let her go.

Bad Bunny is a steamy page-turning, heart-pounding, swoony bunny shifter fantasy featuring a possessive prince, fated mates, forced proximity, enchanted weapons, ancient magic, and a heroine who refuses to bow to destiny.
Perfect for readers who love paranormal romance, fantasy shifters, protective alpha heroes, and high-stakes romantic adventure.

This was my first time reading a bunny shifter romance and I have to say I had a lot of fun doing it!!! Being bitten by a bunny has a whole new different meaning now...

After the bunny she found bites her, he turns into a gorgeous man.. A prince, running from his realm after his uncle tried to kill him to take his throne.. Nora is his mate and Sorren is desperate to find a way to protect her and to find the sword that will end his uncle.. They embark on a adventure to earn those favors from a magical vault hidden inside an Easter golden egg.. His uncle and his man are at their trail and as their connection deepens, the stakes are becoming a lot higher..

Nora was fierce and kind, always ready to help and she took everything happening pretty well honestly. I loved her drive and how confident she was, even when she had doubts..
Sorren was protective and honest and loved her right. He accepted the help he needed and was ready to do anything to make sure she's safe. I do wish we learned more about his world though.
Their story was a little rushed and it did need more development, but it was cute and filled with adventure and some uncertainty. The bitting, the healing, the butterflies and the love that conquers all..

It was a quick and entertaining story, the mission to find the sword and the necklace, the magic, the trials to prove their worth and the final confrontation that could end it all.. I loved the progression, and although everything happened fast, I do think that the mates aspect made it more believable.

I say this every time I read her novellas, but she really does know how to write them. They are always different, but always so fun. I need her to never stop!!!

Bad Bunny had me Hooked. 5 stars, and hands down my absolute favorite of what I’ve read from Lexi so far! Thank you so much, for the absolute pleasure of ARC reading for you again!!

Bad Bunny is a shifter fantasy. YES. You read that right. FANTASY. From the moment I picked it up I did not want to put it down. Nora, sweet Nora. Sweet but so fierce, is a human kindergarten teacher. She’s wound up with a cute little bunny she plans to bring for her class. But he’s no ordinary bunny. He’s a pesky thing that bites.. and apparently shifts into a 6 foot 5 sexy, ripped, naked Princeling claiming to be hunted, on the search for a mystical sword, and determined to save his kingdom. He needs her help, she thinks he’s crazy, he knows she’s his fated mate 👀🤭

This novella is fast paced, and perfect for those who love a good adventure and a steamy, heart pounding story. It truly grips you, not relinquishing its hold on you. The adventure was thrilling, the spice was spicin, the trials were thrilling and gripped you at every twist and turn. And finally, the MCs, lovable and relatable. I loved every second of it.

Nora may seem fragile, an elementary teacher with a broken heart and a sick mother, but beneath her softness lies fierce determination and a heart that refuses to falter. She trusts her instincts, even when they lead her into danger, proving that true strength is quiet but unbreakable. Sorren, a hunted heir to the throne, is her perfect counterpart, powerful yet gentle, carrying the weight of a kingdom while willing to sacrifice everything for his mate, his Nora. Together, they show that strength isn’t just physical, but found in the hardest choices. Blending human vulnerability with wild, magical power, this story delivers a unique twist on the Easter Bunny legend, an unforgettable emotional depth, and a message that lingers long after the end.

He’s not the Easter Bunny. Nora, expecting a cute classroom pet, is shocked when a fluffy rabbit transforms into Sorren, a six-foot-five prince who claims he’s being hunted and needs her help to find an enchanted sword to save his kingdom. Despite her skepticism, Sorren asserts they are bonded fated mates...

Here we go, just as I predicted—an Easter novella! This one is sure to delight my romantasy-loving friends, though I must admit it's a bit outside my usual genre, so I can't truly assess this book as thoroughly as I'd like. I've enjoyed the Christmas and Valentine's Day novellas, so I decided to give this one a shot. It was charming and sweet, especially with the little bunny royalty. I loved the first half, but I found myself a bit lost in the second half because I struggled to grasp Sorren's world. Similar to the St. Patrick's Day novella, this story is different—good different—but not entirely my cup of tea. Perhaps I should read the blurbs more carefully before diving in.

If you enjoy a spicy tale featuring a romantasy shape-shifting bunny and a story that transports you to a whole new world through a portal, then this is just what you need! Oh, and I can’t forget to mention that those covers are absolutely adorable!

Thank you, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, NetGalley, and Lexi Davis, for the DRC copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

“You’re my mate. Our bond has no beginning and no end. In every world, I love you always.”

Thank you so much, Lexi Davis, for an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

This novella blew me away. I genuinely did not expect to love it as much as I did, but it’s Lexi Davis, so who was I kidding? I eat up anything she writes. Even though it was a novella, you could tell how much thought and effort Davis put into the story.

Nora was such a wonderful FMC. She was caring, strong, and so lovable. Sorren was just as wonderful as her, just taller. The two of them worked so well together, and even though the plot takes place over the span of, like, three days, their connection felt so real and genuine. And the intimacy!? So, so perfect, my heart was throbbing. I already need more of them, the golden couple (Cus there's a golden egg in the story...get the joke?).

Anyways, not only were the pacing and romance amazing, but the magic and action were spectacular. I did not expect anything that happened when I first started reading, I was constantly surprised in the best way. The action made me feel so immersed in the story. Everything was woven together in a way that was easy to follow but still intricate and unique. I would literally recommend this to anyone, whether you prefer longer books or not, this novella felt like a full-on novel.

This novella’s bunny shifter concept was refreshingly fun. The characters embraced their bond quickly and naturally. Despite its short length, Lexi delivered strong chemistry and a deep emotional connection. I loved the engaging trials that kept me invested and cheering Nora and Sorren on.

This isn’t my first time reading one of Lexi Davis’s seasonal novellas and while I enjoyed *Bad Bunny*, it’s not my favourite of hers.

The story follows Nora, a schoolteacher preparing for Easter who ends up adopting an adorable fluffy bunny, only to discover he’s actually Sorren, a prince from another realm. From the very beginning, I was having so much fun. The tone is playful, a little chaotic and genuinely funny. I found myself giggling and kicking my feet at the banter between Nora and Sorren. It leans fully into its silliness which made the first half especially entertaining.

However, after the halfway mark, the story started to lose some of that charm for me. The plot shifts more heavily into fantasy, with a looming conflict between Sorren and his uncle, and suddenly a lot is happening in a very short space of time. Because of that, the story feels a bit rushed. I think this would have benefited from being a longer book with more room to develop the world building and the stakes.

Overall, I did enjoy *Bad Bunny*, it’s light, fun and perfect if you’re looking for something whimsical and seasonal. That said, it’s not my favourite of Lexi Davis’s novellas. I’m still very much looking forward to whatever she releases next.

First I want to say thank you to NetGalley and Lexi Davis for the chance to read and review Bad Bunny.

I can always count on Lexi to whisk me away from reality. I did not expect that to be in the form of a shape shifting bunny, but here we are. 😂
Nora was pretty funny, I found myself laughing the entire time.
I loved the trials going on. I was rooting for both Nora and Sorren the whole time.

Bad bunny was hilarious, sexy and all around a great time. If you are looking for a quick read, pick this one up!

@ is back with another holiday novella and oh my goddess!! It was so good. This one was a romantasy story.

Nora
She is an elementary teacher who ended up with a bunny for a class pet. She has a sick mother and was just dumped by her terrible boyfriend. Nora has a huge loving heart and she trusts her gut feeling even when it could be the wrong choice. I love how even though she was physically weak she was so strong and determined. She understood what was needed and didn't let her emotions cloud her choices.

Sorren
Heir to the throne with an uncle out to eliminate him. He is composed and strong. Sorren is also gentle, kind and willing to sacrifice his heart for his Mate, his love, his Nora. He knows what needs to be done and does not back down because he knows thousands rely on him.

So many great things in this story. It showed how strength is not just in how strong you are physically but how you can also be strong by making the choice even if it's hard.

I seriously loved how Lexi made it to where he can pull from the strengths of both bunny and human and I can only imagine what you guys will visualize when you read it haha.

Seriously a great fantasy other world story with fated makes. The ending message was so strong and I loved every second of it. If you are looking for a twist in the story of the Easter Bunny. This is it.

I wish to hug and befriend the all knowing even though I fear is kind. He seemed like he just needed a hug.

I always get excited when Lexi Davis releases a new novella because she’s one of those authors who consistently makes me feel something, even in such a short amount of time. There’s always this mix of emotion, warmth, and a bit of humor that just works for me.

This one was still good, but it didn’t hit me in the same way her others have. I think for me, it was the concept. The bunny shifter element felt a little harder to fully settle into, especially in such a short format.

But even with that, there were still moments where I was reminded why I love her writing. She really does have a way of adding emotional depth so quickly, and I always appreciate how she balances that with lighter moments.

Overall, this one just felt like it was missing that extra something that usually makes her novellas really stand out for me. Still a quick and enjoyable read just not my personal favorite of hers.

Overall, I enjoyed the experience and will absolutely continue reading her work!

I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

For a shorter story, this book really packed a punch! Initially I thought, why not read a spicy Easter based novella, but I got way more than I bargained for with this one!

The cover was a little misleading, as I expected this to be less fantasy based, but the fantasy aspects were awesome.

Nora’s sassy nature and gift for straight talking was refreshing. Sorren was a prince brought to life, all charming and destined to right the wrongs that he was dealt before being banished to the mortal world.

I’ve always enjoyed shifter romances, but never have I read a bunny rabbit one… this was an interesting change of pace for me and I enjoyed it for the most part!

Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this one early!

I always needed a spicy Easter book in my life (obviously not the religious aspect of Easter 😆).

I love how the whole premise of this book was the simple question of “what if the Easter bunny was hot?”. Nora is a kindergarten teacher who recently adopted a bunny as a class pet.

After said bunny bites her, he changes into a gorgeous 6 foot 6 naked man named Sorren who is Prince of a magical kingdom. Yay. He needs her help to defeat his uncle who recently killed his dad the king and put the kingdom in turmoil.

Sorren is a sweet, protective hero who also eats his veggies and Nora is his mate. Together they travel to the giant golden egg to find lost treasure to defeat his evil uncle.

There’s also some spice 🌶️

A shorter novella that can be read in one or two days. Some spice, maybe 1 of 5 jalepenos. It's not attempting to be a slow-burn romance with lots of long character arcs, it's more of a short feel-good insta-love fated-mate story. The basic premise is Easter Bunny, but hot. So, that means it's also not attempting to be cute or a "cozy." There's a little description of baby animals with soft fur and pastel eggs, but not a lot. It's less about the cute aspects of Easter. There's some blood and violence, maybe a 2.5/5 on the scale of amount of blood and violence? I did like the very end quite a bit. I'm still hoping that someday I will find an "Easter Bunny, but even cuter" book. This just isn't that book, but it's still a nice book.

I can't tell you exactly what I expected walking into this, but I can absolutely tell you that I had a good time. Definitely my first time reading a bunny shifter romance, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

It's a quick little seasonal read that leaves you wanting to explore what the future holds for Nora and Sorren. Lexi could've gone a hundred different ways with this, but she provided a stunning display of conflict and growth in a short amount of time.

I've already told all of my friends to pick this up, because all in all, who doesn't love a bunny? Even if he is a vampire adjacent bunny king.

We all have our flaws, after all.

The way I DEVOURED this is ridiculous. I literally had finished it hours after receiving it. I’m obsessed! It sank its death into me and didn’t let go (pun very much intended). Nora is such a relatable character and I loved her snarky sarcasm and the way that Sorren just accepted her as she was is literal perfection. Why can’t real men be like this? I adored their chemistry and now I need to know if they have a litter of bunny babies. Lexi Davis has written a spicy little novella that’s just perfect for Easter. I now suddenly want a bunny shifter of my own. Love love love this.

ARC Review

Bad Bunny gives: bunny shifter, strangers-to-lovers, one bed, fated mates, and all the steamy fantasy vibes in a quick, addictive read.

Yes, there’s a little insta love but honestly… valid. When it hits, it hits. The MMC? Very much touch her and ☠️ energy. The FMC? Holds her own like a Queen. We love to see it.

Fun, fast, and perfect for the season, so if you’re trying to get into the Easter mood with a little spice, this one’s it.

Also, where is my one way ticket to The White Warren? Asking for myself....

Ok, let’s talk Bad Bunny…

Just from the book’s blurb alone I knew that this was going to be an… Interesting read that pushed even my boundaries. I believe Lexi Davis’ exact words were, “Easter Bunny, but make him hot.” 🤔 But here’s the thing! ALL of Lexi’s book blurbs are concerning and yet somehow this woman manages to make me devour every single one of them. Her writing is addicting, her character development always seems to far surpass anything I could expect from a novella and overall the books are just a damn good time. So, Hot Easter Bunny it was and I jumped into this ARC with an open mind.

From the first page, Lexi’s magnetic writing is present right from the start. There are some books where I struggle to connect with and then there are Lexi’s books where the moment you start reading you are literally transported right into the opening scene. You know the setting, surroundings, the characters features and mannerisms. You couldn’t “unsee” her writing even if you tried and that is exactly how Bad Bunny starts off. My first thoughts were, oh yeah, this will be another 5⭐️ novella for sure.

The story opens up with Nora who is a school teacher. She was given a free bunny from a man at a roadside stand to take as her new class pet. Enter in, Sorren… or as we currently know him, Bunny. Yeah, hot Nordic blonde hair, green eyed MMC is a fluff white bunny. He shifts in her classroom (after the kids are gone of course) and there he is, in all his naked, viking build glory! Now, this is the part where I’m like, ok, it’s fine, this is fine. He’s probably just like fae or something -an animal shifter. Yeah, totally normal. The bunny cover was just a convenient disguise. This book is totally workable.

However, as we continue reading on we start to get more insight through Sorren about his people and his homeland. Mentions of his evil uncle who sits on the throne in his bunny rabbit form. Or grand balls where the bunnies are hopping around a dance floor. Childhood memories of him doing bunny things in a meadow. Remember how I said Lexi Davis’ writing is impossible not to visualize? Yeah… I couldn’t NOT see a bunny on a thrown with a crown placed on the top of its head and a robe thrown over his back while its little nose twitched. I couldn’t not see random bunnies jumping around a ballroom dance floor and I couldn’t not see 6’5, viking daddy, Sorren frolicking through wildflower meadows in bunny form. I fear I may NEVER be able to unsee these images for as long as I live.

Anyways, I’m rambling. Back to the beginning. The story starts off strong. I loved the opening scene where Nora is freaking out, then shoving naked Viking man into the classroom supply closet while annoying boyfriend comes in to break up with her. I live for unnecessary book drama so OM/OW drama feeds my little book loving soul. The story continues on strong with pacing and writing. Then we get to the middle where things just started to die down for me and for the first time in Lexi Davis book history I lose interest.

I think the main problem is that the author was trying to fit too big of a story into too small of a space. The beginning of the story was well fleshed out. We get a complete overview of each character and their mannerisms which added comedy and made them leap off the page. We know enough of the backstory to get us properly thrown in and the storyline seemed to have high stakes to keep me turning the pages. But then as the story progresses, the writing starts to lose its signature charm and the rest of the story just feels like the reader is left watching Nora and Sorren run from scene to scene as they are being chased by the evil Bunny King’s minions.

Bottom line is, I didn’t hate it, but I most definitely didn’t love it. If I was going to recommend a Lexi Davis book to someone, Bad Bunny wouldn’t make the list. I still hold Pretty Vicious and Hold Me For Now as her two top tier reads that I will never stop recommending.

Some honorable mentions that I did love about this book…
🪐 Nora and her solar system bandaid
📕 Sorren and his too small, blue, hoodie sweatshirt with a glittery “Reading Is Fun!” Across the front.

REVIEW ➜

Bad Bunny is a fast paced, action packed, soft but serious tale that will break your heart & stitch it right back together again. I’m talking humour & wit, emotion & trauma, spice & more spice, tension & drama. This novella has it ALL & you (yes you 🫵🏼) should most definitely read it.

Lexi’s writing isn’t just strong, it creates a reading experience that engulfs you. She appeals to all of your senses & is able to paint the most vivid pictures. You don’t just read her books, you feel them. I’ve read 6 of her titles & she delivers every single time. Whether it be dark academia, spicy romance, dark stalker romance, paranormal or fantasy - Lexi Davis is an author you can count on for a truly enjoyable reading experience.

CHARACTERS ➜

Sorren, Sorren, Sorren, giant puppy X cut-throat warrior. The contrast between his initial awkward lack of interpersonal skills that painted him to be quite soft, loveable & sweet compared to where we ended up, oh wow!? I mean, the battle, the muscles, the weapon, the power - loveable, but in a whole other way…
Also, asking for a friend - does he have any single male relatives? (Must be sweet, protective & not out for blood, vengeance or someone’s soul)

Nora, girl. Witty, stubborn & loyal to a fault. This is a woman who knows her own mind & her own worth, a wallflower she most definitely is not! I was cheering SO LOUD for her in the final chapter & thanks to Lexi’s amazing world/character building it felt like I was right there, fighting alongside her. Her relationship with her Mum was beautiful & whilst I would’ve loved to have seen more of their dynamic, I appreciate the whole crazy Uncle, out for blood, revenge thing going on so!

These 2, together? Epic. I melted. The love, the bond, the tenderness & understanding, the passion & chemistry, they were literally 2 halves of a whole & I will do (almost) anything to hear more from Sorren & Nora. Please.

Seth? Boy, bye.

FINAL THOUGHTS ➜

She’s only gone & done it AGAIN.
Ms Melexi, i’m going to formally request that you go right ahead & legally add ‘QUEEN OF NOVELLAS’ to your name because listen, the world needs to know!!
Bad Bunny has officially taken the crown from Cupid is a Liar & I desperately need more Nora & Sorren in my life. The bonus scene? Brilliant. However, you’ve spoiled us so much that it’s barely touched the sides!

❣️Thank you to the wonderful Lexi Davis/Melissa Dymond for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC. This is my honest opinion & I’m sharing it voluntarily.

ARC REVIEW⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

I was completely ENTHRALLED by this book—it's almost unbelievable! I couldn’t set it aside and finished it just hours after receiving it. I’m totally obsessed! Five stars? Definitely! I’m already yearning for more from this enchanting world.

"Bad Bunny" by Lexi Davis blew me away in the most thrilling way! I went in expecting something fun and a tad chaotic, but what I found was a wildly addictive, steamy fantasy romance that had me hooked from start to finish.

From the very premise, I was intrigued: a kindergarten teacher, an innocent bunny, and then—boom! A towering six-foot-five wounded prince materializes in the most chaotic way you can imagine! From that moment, the story seizes you and refuses to let go. It’s fast-paced, intense, and perfectly blends danger, humor, and sizzling heat.

Nora is an absolutely refreshing heroine! She’s grounded, headstrong, and refuses to accept the chaos that enters her life passively. I loved how she dared to question everything and push back, even when destiny was practically shouting at her. She felt so real amidst a whirlwind of extraordinary events.

And then there's Sorren—oh, he’s everything you want in a character! Powerful, possessive, and utterly devoted in a way that's primal and all-consuming. The fated mates trope comes alive here; their connection is intense yet challenged by trust, fear, and circumstance. His protectiveness and how he claims Nora without a hint of hesitation amps up that swoon-worthy, addictive tension.

The chemistry between them? Electric! It builds rapidly, but it never feels rushed, thanks to the high stakes and their contrasting worlds. With forced proximity, encroaching danger, and an undeniable attraction simmering beneath the surface, I found myself flipping pages way too late into the night!

But it's not just the romance that shines. The fantasy elements truly dazzle—think enchanted swords, a hunted prince, and a looming threat to his kingdom that brings depth and urgency to the narrative. It’s not just about their love; it's about survival, destiny, and fighting for something monumental.

This book is bold, a little chaotic in the best way, and completely captivating! If you adore possessive alpha heroes, the thrill of fated mates, and a story that melds magic, danger, and heat into one irresistible adventure, you will absolutely devour this!

Five stars without hesitation. I already want more from this world.

Bad Bunny by Lexi Davis completely took me by surprise in the best way possible. I went in expecting something fun and a little unhinged, and what I got was a wildly addictive, steamy fantasy romance that I could not put down.

The premise alone is enough to hook you. A kindergarten teacher, a seemingly innocent bunny, and then suddenly a six foot five wounded prince shifting into existence in the most chaotic way possible. From that moment on, the story just grips you and refuses to let go. It is fast paced, intense, and filled with that perfect mix of danger, humor, and heat.

Nora is such a refreshing heroine. She is grounded, stubborn, and not at all willing to just accept the madness thrown into her life. I loved how she questioned everything and pushed back, even when fate was practically screaming at her. She felt real in a story that is anything but ordinary.

Sorren is exactly the kind of character that makes this genre so irresistible. He is powerful, possessive, and completely devoted in a way that feels primal and consuming. There is something so satisfying about the fated mates trope when it is done like this, where the connection is intense but still challenged by trust, fear, and circumstance. His protectiveness and the way he claims Nora without hesitation just adds to that swoony, addictive tension.

The chemistry between them is electric. It builds quickly but never feels rushed because the stakes are so high and their worlds are so different. The forced proximity, the danger closing in, and the underlying pull between them creates this constant tension that kept me flipping pages way too late into the night.

Beyond the romance, the fantasy elements really shine. The enchanted sword, the hunted prince, and the looming threat to his kingdom all add depth and urgency. It is not just about their connection, it is about survival, destiny, and the fight for something bigger.

This book is bold, a little chaotic in the best way, and completely captivating. If you love possessive alpha heroes, fated mates, and a story that blends magic, danger, and heat into one addictive ride, you are going to devour this.

Um, who wouldn’t want an adorable bunny that shifts into one hunk of a man in human form? This is a little different from the other styles Davis has written, but it’s so good in the way that you get automatically sucked into the lore, the relationship between this elementary school teacher and her knight in shiny armor that showed up when she least expected it.

*spoilers*

Nora is an elementary school teacher who was just driving down the road when she noticed a sign on the side of the road that said Free EESTER Bunnies. Even the misspelling couldn’t stop her from pulling off to the side of the road. It was as if fate decided itself because only one bunny remained and the seller insisted she take it for her students.

Had she of known that the bunny would shift into a six-foot handsome man, would she have hesitated? Even after her boyfriend dumped her before the weekend she was supposed to meet his parents. At first, she thinks it just a fever dream until she sees him shift into real time before her eyes.

He sees a flyer about an upcoming egg hunt for the holiday but it’s not the hunt that captures his attention. But the egg. The egg that can transport them to another world where he would have to fight in order to retrieve the items he needs in order to defeat his uncle. Without giving too much away, we get into more of the magical lore and backstory on why his uncle is so determined to take his life and everything away from him.

It’s fast paced. The spice is open door and it is extremely hot. The plot paces perfectly where there’s something happening almost all the time. It’s a spicy Easter themed romance with shape shifting bunnies that transform into loyal six foot gods. What more could you absolutely ask for? I love that each holiday themed book from Davis is absolutely different and unique, sucking you into its pages every time.

„Bad Bunny - A spicy bunny shifter fantasy romance novella”
The shit I do for my fav authors… I’m even though I only read Lexi’s novellas (without the Halloween one), I still consider myself a fan of hers. I am not into anything close to fantasy but I decided to trust Lexi’s writing and step out of my comfort zone for this novella.
I am still not into fantasy genre (yet?) but I enjoyed this novella a lot!
The writing is good, like really good, so my view (at least current view until I verify it after reading more of Lexi’s work) is that before jumping into books or novellas written by Lexi you don’t have to worry about writing quality, just decide if the themes/tropes/genre is a deal breaker for you.
I am not a fan of insta-love or insta attraction, any fantasy elements are not my cup of tea, but I didn’t mind these things here. The fantasy stufff at the second half (maybe the last 30%?) was pretty heavy but I knew that going in. I still don’t think I could handle full length fantasy novel but novella length - I can deal with it and enjoy the read.
I’m going with 4 stars for now but only because (as specified already multiple times) I am not a fantasy fan. I might come back and bump it to 5 later.

Lexi is a queen of novellas for me. She never misses, it’s 4th one I read and they are ALWAYS 4 or 5 stars worthy, or truly more in 4.5-5 territory! A little over 100 pages, perfect for one evening, one sitting read. Despite being a novella it didn’t lack in any part of execution.
It was all quick (the love, the plot development) as it is a given when it comes to novellas, but it is working well, not missing a damn thing!!!

Once I sync my highlights I might come back and add some of the quotes here.

This story follows Nora, a kindergarten teacher who randomly buys a bunny that turns out to be… not normal at all. That bunny is actually Sorren, a magical prince on the run from his own uncle who wants him dead. One bite changes everything and suddenly Nora is pulled into his dangerous world, tied to him through a magical bond that only gets stronger with time. Now they have to run, survive, and protect the people they love while dealing with a connection that feels way too intense to ignore.
Okay this was such a wild ride and I actually loved the chaos of it. The concept itself is so random but the way it was written made it feel addictive. Sorren is literally that protective, slightly unhinged, obsessed hero and I ate that up. His whole energy was giving mine and only mine vibes and I was not complaining at all.
Nora felt real and strong. She did not act dumb even in crazy situations and I liked that she chose to stay instead of running away. Their bond was fast but it worked because of the fated mates element. The bite scenes were lowkey intense and added that extra spark.
The pacing was quick since it is a novella but it never felt boring. There was always something happening. Action, tension, little emotional moments, everything was balanced nicely. Overall it was fun, spicy, and super entertaining.
Thank you so much author for the free ARC!

Synopsis:

Nora brings a fluffy white bunny to her kindergarten classroom, expecting the children to adore him. But when the bunny bites her—and then suddenly turns into a battle-wounded, completely naked man—her world flips upside down.

He claims to be a prince… and her mate. Nora, of course, thinks he’s completely insane. But when dangerous people start hunting them down, things get very real, very fast. Now, caught in a world she never believed existed, Nora must decide—will she fight to escape the chaos, or will the mysterious bunny prince take over her entire life?

Review:

“Bad Bunny” by Lexi Davis is a steamy, fast-paced, and swoony fantasy packed with fated mates, forced proximity, enchanted magic, and a possessive shifter prince.

Nora is fierce, kind, and strong in ways Sorren never expected. She refuses to back down, even when danger is staring her in the face. Sorren, on the other hand, is devoted and deeply protective—he sees Nora for who she truly is and loves her beyond the bond itself. I loved how he protects her without ever trying to control her, and how far he’s willing to go to keep her safe.

The fantasy elements are well-crafted, with magic and danger that feel vivid and engaging. The golden egg element adds an extra layer of intrigue and keeps the stakes high.

I didn’t find anything objectionable—honestly, it was so good. I’m not usually a fan of insta-love, but this one made it work perfectly.

Overall, a must-read for anyone craving a quick, addictive fantasy romance with fated mates and a unique bunny shifter twist.

Nora is a kindergarten teacher caring for her sick mother, with a mediocre boyfriend and an otherwise simple life. On her way home one day she sees a man selling bunnies, and stops to get the last one for her classroom. While the kids absolutely love it, the bunny bites her, and at the end of the day she turns to find a naked man in her class, standing in the bunny’s place. He claims that he is the prince of the White Warren, having escaped his uncle after he killed his father, the king. Now he asks Nora to help him hide, so that he can heal in order to obtain a weapon to eliminate his uncle.

Soren spent his life preparing to take over his father’s kingdom, be he could never have imagined his uncle’s treachery. Having escaped to the mortal world, he never expected to find his true mate, but from the moment he bit her, he knew Nora was the one. But his bite is more than just a claim, it is a beacon with which his uncle can track them down, so now he needs Nora’s help to find the golden egg holding a magical sword that could be their salvation, or their ruin.

I received an early copy of this book from NetGalley, and as always, Lexi Davis delivers with fun holiday themed chaos. Nora’s life may have seemed boring to an outsider, but perhaps that was because she was always meant to be queen in another world. She needed Soren, and the threat of losing him to make her realize that there is nothing wrong with wanting to be loved. In Nora, Soren found more than just destiny, but also love, and learned that that can be the strongest bond of all.

A fun, lighthearted read that was very easy to get into- I read it all in a couple of hours. The MMC was described as “Nordic god hot” and I immediately pictured Alexander Skarsgård. The author also wrote him with shoulder length hair… and this was the ONE exception where I did actually go along with it and pictured blonde hair.

This was the first holiday themed novella I’ve read, and there were a lot of unique aspects. While reading I paused a few times to acknowledge the authors creativity and her ability to write concepts unlike anything I’d read before (the hot bunny shapeshifter, the golden egg challenge, the need to bite her to shift)

I was pleasantly surprised by how good/ intense the action scenes were, but I think because the book was so fast paced that I didn’t have a very deep connection with the characters.

There were a couple of spicy scenes, but I wasn’t super impressed by them. They also seemed fast and I didn’t get to enjoy tons of detail. I was hoping/ expecting the plot was more focused the spice versus the action like it was. Don’t get me wrong, the story was romance centered, but I wasn’t as enthralled because I didn’t have the strong connection to the characters.

I did think the details at the beginning were funny about Seth (who obviously was lame and annoying anyways) going pale when Sorren said he was her protector. I’m not sure if there’s a plan to make a second story, but if so I would probably read it!

Thank you to the Author for the ARC! This will be available 3/24
