There is so much new content in book five of the Watch Me Burn Series. I am loving all the new relationship building with several of the characters. Rory's relationships with Hunter and Marco have really turned into a major positive. I love how those two are always looking out for her and her guys, even when her men are less than receptive to their presence in her life. On the other hand, Skeeter has become a major red flag for me, and I hope to see some serious groveling from him in the future.
I also love all the new female friendships Rory develops—she really needed more women in her corner. I hope to see these friendships continue throughout the rest of the series. Rory is such an independent force; it's fantastic to see her with Josie and allow an adult to help her out. Josie has become an important part of Rory's life and has really helped her in so many ways.
While this book focused heavily on relationship building, there were also some major developments in Rory's story. The biggest development was what happened with Rory's mom and who possessed that information. I believe we will still see some fallout from this revelation.
With several mysteries still unresolved and that massive cliffhanger ending, I can't wait to see what happens next.
I also love all the new female friendships Rory develops—she really needed more women in her corner. I hope to see these friendships continue throughout the rest of the series. I still enjoy this series and the characters even though I could only give this 3 stars.
Book 5 felt like it was spinning wheels and not really going anywhere. The first 60% our MFC (Rory)is in prison so that was a lot of repetitive scenarios played over and over. She's either being attacked or doing the attacking. She forms a friendship with a secondary character that feels forced for a plot point. Rory was in prison so no access to her guys for 60% of the book. How to insert sexy scenes? Let's make her briefly dip into being into girls . Seemed contrived.
I was hoping for more progression with her and Hunter. I genuinely don't get how a girl who fell in love with her rapist (Slash) could keep a guy who's literally been the one who's been looking out for her almost the entire book even before he knew her that well, has spent countless hours devoted to getting her released from prison and the charges dropped, who answers the phone every time she calls, has provided her shelter, food and medical attention and has made known his feelings for her.....how she continues to keep him at arms length makes absolutely no sense to this reader.

Shattered Pieces is aptly named... I'm in shattered pieces. *sobs* This series is absolutely putting me through the wringer. The twists and turns had me gasping. I loved watching all the relationships deepen and change... and oh my gosh, I couldn't put it down. Rory - my girl. Unhinged and chaotic - I just love her. December when the next book comes out won't come soon enough!

WHAT THE ABSOLUTE HELL WAS THAT CLIFFHANGER? I CANNOT WAIT TILL DECEMBER FOR THE NEXT BOOK. OBVIOUSLY, WE KNOW HOW THINGS TURN OUT BECAUSE WE’VE READ SECOND GEN BUT STILL.
This book picks up right where book 4 ended. Rory got carted away to prison and Skeet believe she betrayed him. Obviously, she didn’t, but this idiot’s head is so far up his ass, he can’t see past his own shit. lol.
Lexi and Rory started off rocky but became best friends by the end of the book. It was cool seeing all of her buddies from jail again knowing that they play a part in the second generations books as well.
I’ll honestly say this this book was not as spicy as the rest of them for obvious reasons. One being she was in prison for most of the book. And secondly, two of her guys turned on her because they believe she betrayed them. Her relationship did progress though forward in a way for three new relationships.
It was also cute to see Tyler and Marco‘s friendship. But it was sad seeing how Tyler was basically left out by himself and nobody was there for him. He’s definitely got ADHD. And does not deal well with being alone.
Skeet. If y’all thought he was the one declaring war in the last book, it’s nothing compared to how Rory is gonna come at him in the next one. He betrayed her three times in this book according to her. He dropped her and didn’t even ask her for her side of the story. Then he lied to her about Marla. And the cliffhanger she believes is because of him. Personally, I think the cliffhanger the people taking out crew members things like that are either gonna be a certain someone who we all know is still around or it’s gonna be Matteo. He’s a problem that needs to be dealt with and go somewhere.
I absolutely love the series and I’m highly sad that I have to wait till December for the next one. Yet another masterpiece cannot wait.

This book had me stressed from beginning to end—in the best possible way. 😂 Rory’s life is already a complete mess, and somehow this installment manages to throw even more chaos, secrets, betrayal, and emotional damage at her.
What I really enjoyed about Shattered Pieces was how much the relationships were put under pressure. Rory is forced to deal with people questioning her loyalty, relationships falling apart, and consequences that she can’t simply run away from. There were definitely moments when I wanted to yell at her (and pretty much everyone around her 😅), but I also understood why she made some of the choices she did.
The prison portion of the story was especially interesting because Rory is completely cut off from the life she knows, while the people outside are dealing with their own feelings about what happened. That made the emotional side of the story just as important as the action and drama.
And the twists! I kept thinking I knew where things were going, only for something else to happen and make me question everything again. There’s a constant feeling that Rory is one step away from things getting even worse—which, considering everything she has already survived, is saying something. 😂
I also really liked seeing the darker tone continue to develop throughout the series. This isn't a fluffy romance where everyone makes sensible decisions and talks through their problems. These characters are complicated, damaged, and surrounded by violence and secrets, and that's exactly what makes this series so addictive.
By the end, I was left with that familiar feeling of “okay, but WHAT NOW?!”
Rory Donovan's story is definitely not an easy one, but that's what keeps me coming back. If you've made it this far into the series, Shattered Pieces is another wild ride—and I’m absolutely ready to see what R.E. Bond throws at Rory next.

This book continues where Reckless Vengeance had ended. All of the characters are going through it in this one. It's definitely an emotional rollercoaster, but it has so many funny moments. The pacing never wanes, there's some spice, relationships are evolving or dissolving, and of course there's a crazy cliffhanger that will leave you screaming.
Rory finds herself in prison after her arrest at the end of the last book. We watch her struggle to stay alive, make allies, and handle being away from her guys. I enjoyed seeing her handle herself in there. I thought it showcased her toughness and loyalty. I liked the friends she made too.
While Rory is gone, the guys are all over the place emotionally. Some are stressed and trying to get her out. Some are sad and lonely. And others feel betrayed and beyond angry. Getting everyone's POV helps to better understand their feelings during all of this. I think your feelings on some characters might waver in this one. Characters you loved you might hate and vice versa.
This will sound odd, but I actually liked Rory being in prison for a bit in this because it sort of felt like we had two stories going on in this book. We had Rory's time in the prison and all the chaos that was happening there. Then we had the crews and all of her guys, and got to see what they were doing. It made this a page-turner. At this point I’m hate reading this series.
Rory was in prison for about 55% of this book so insert wlw scenes. Which don’t get me wrong I love those books but the author kept stating how Rory wasn’t into girls but orgasms were nice. Like wtf.
Skeeter: Still hate him absolute trash character who can’t even take time to talk to this woman he is supposedly in love with. Also every time hunter calls him out for his shitty leadership and how his gang is a shitshow I’m agreeing wholeheartedly. Really anytime hunter or Marco talked to him and shut him up was my fav.
Diesel: damn my heart breaks for him every time. We know he lost his one true love with Sasha and by the horrific circumstances from his gang. I kinda appreciate how slow he is going with Rory I mean it is definitely realistic. Also he is normal in the sense that he doesn’t jump to damn conclusion about Rory.
Caden: go jump off a bridge. Touch grass you spoiled little brat.
Jensen/Luca: are they still in a relationship with Rory or just each other?
Marco: honestly about damn time. Everything he does is hot plus a little crazy just my type. 😏
Hunter: seriously this is one of the sweetest characters and you still aren’t giving him the time of day because you’re still loyal to skeeter. Yuck 🤮
Tyler: why has no one gotten him into rehab? They just continuously provide drugs so no shit something bad was bound to happen.
I think I said this in the last book I don’t know how this author is going to redeem skeeter because at this point he needs to be killed off.

The Chaos that Rachel gives us in Shattered Pieces is just top shelf and the cliffhanger - - girl, that’s just mean especially after 500 pages! This series was amazing the very first time I read it and then the author expanded and revised which just hooked me in that much deeper. The way these guys flip around is amazing to me as they sometimes have no common sense….like come on guys, use your brain and stop thinking with other body parts!! I love that Rory is staying true to herself while flipping the middle finger out to the haters and it is so well written. Her sassy attitude (and mouth) are one of the things I love the most about Rory Donovan as she just keeps standing back up after being kicked down. Somehow, she manages to add another man or two to her harem each time, much to the original group’s dismay, but they all complement each other and you def see the bromances going on too. All the dynamics are well thought out and the author has me wanting to kick some butts (Skeeter – I’m looking at you) but also love how there are now some other females coming into the dynamic and backing my girl up (Mule, Josie and now Lexi).
This author has become one of my top and an automatic “must buy” author as she does not shy away from the dark and gritty and juggles a large number of people around in the why choose store (almost seamlessly) from MM, FF and the group. A round of applause and 5 stars goes out for this one and I am ready for the next book.

Get ready for another emotional roller-coaster ride
This is another emotional roller-coaster. Loyalty and trust are put to the test, and secrets are revealed. Hunter, Marco, Tyler, and Diesel show her what it means to have people willing to stand with you no matter what. Rory is a perfect combination of unhinged badass mixed with a sweet and sassy attitude. She has her moments of vulnerability that remind us she is still just an 18 year old trying to survive the crappy hand she was dealt in life. Hunter's "burn the world down" energy when it comes to protecting Rory is probably my absolute favorite part of these rewrites. We saw a little of it in the original series, but it goes to an entirely different level in this one. Once again, you will probably spend half the book wanting to go into a rage because Skeet has yet to have some sense knocked into him.

Everything has completely fallen apart since Rory went to prison, and watching this group navigate the aftermath had me feeling ALL the emotions. Everyone seems to be going in their own direction, and the lack of communication is making an already messy situation even worse.
Kaden and Skeet are off doing their own thing together, Tyler has latched onto Marco, Diesel seems like he couldn't care less about the crew, and Hunter and Marco are visiting Rory and helping her out. Meanwhile, Jensen and Lukas are left trying to figure out what the hell they're supposed to do. Everyone is struggling, everyone is hurting, and somehow the communication between them is practically nonexistent.
Because apparently, talking to each other is just too much to ask.
This book had me frustrated, angry, stressed, and completely invested. I wanted to shake some sense into these characters more than once, but there is one in particular who had me wanting to punch something. Cough... Skeet... cough. Seriously, the frustration this man brought out in me!
What I love about this series is how emotionally invested I am in this world. Even when they're making questionable decisions, creating more problems, or refusing to communicate like normal human beings, I still care about what happens to them. Watching everything unravel and seeing how each character handles the chaos kept me turning the pages.
R.E. Bond knows how to bring out ALL the emotions, and this book was no exception. There were moments where I wanted to scream, moments where I wanted to reach through the pages and force everyone to sit down and have a conversation, and moments where I was just sitting there wondering how things could possibly get any worse.
And then we get to the ending...
ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER.
R.E., are you okay? Because apparently, you’re just going to keep torturing readers with these endings. I swear, every time I think I'm prepared, I'm absolutely not. The way this book leaves you needing the next one immediately should be illegal. Okay, maybe that's dramatic, but I am NOT okay with being left like that!
Despite all my frustration, I am completely invested in this story and these characters. I need to know what happens next, I need answers, and I need this crew to figure out how to communicate before they make everything even worse.
Cannot wait for the next book! Although, R.E., if you could maybe give us a break from the cliffhangers... that would be great. (You won't, but a girl can hope.)

I must say this series has me in the biggest chokehold ever! It’s been a while since I stayed up until 4am reading a book. Well done R.E. Bond you are a Queen 👸 at cliffhangers. I both love you & loathe you for it 😜😈🤣😭😭😭!
The feelings that this book gave me are real! Let me tell you, my emotions were all over the place. One minute I was mad - next laughing, swooning, getting all kinds of HOT 🥵! But dang I was not ready for the end to come - NOT COOL LADY!
Skeeter- that man child needs his b-++ beat and then some! Rory is just the girl to do it too! I love this unhinged crazy train-wreck of a young woman! Marco, that man is every walking red flag you can wave and I LOVE HIM - because he will burn the world for you and along with you.

The book was thicc but I read it fast… everyone single book of Rach’s I can never put down once I get started. I could read them over and over again!
I’m absolutely loving the rewrite of this story and feel like I’m reading it for the first time again and tbh I think I’m going to go and start at the beginning yet again!
I frigging love Rory and her time with Lexi in prison was super good!
Skeeter has always been my number 1 man even though he’s a massive d!ck but I just love that about him. But after reading this book Marco and Hunter are coming up top 😱

I’m completely obsessed with this series, Rory and the guys turbulent relationship is utterly amazing.
Rory and her particularly rocky time in lock up, the situation going on with the guys on the outside.
Hunter and Marco - just adore the way they stepped up and their strong respect for Josie.
Skeet and his volatile attitude added so much suspense to the storyline, as you can never tell what he will do next.
Tyler is so lost in this book, my heart really goes out to him. I really liked the way he holds them all together and is strangely the voice of reason between the guys. His bromance with Marco is perfection.
The sexual tension between Hunter and Rory is off the charts.
The steam scenes in this book were phenomenal, so detailed and hot AF!
That ending had me in tears 😭

Shattered Pieces is the perfect title to this fifth book. Time and time again this story took a turn that made my heart drop.
Rory's life was thrown into the pits as she was dragged off the prison. But the worst part was the betrayal that came from the guys that should have had her back.
Skeeter broke my heart over and over. He didn't just hurt Rory...he might've destroyed everything. He is so far in his own head that he can't see the truth. He can't see that the Psychos have a traitor and that he is pushing Rory right into his enemy's arms. Oh, and I love Hunter and Marco!
That ending had me tearing up and again on the edge of my seat to see what happens next.

Another nail biting installment of Rory and her boys. Rory gets arrested for murder and this book dives into her incarceration and the boys who have her back and those who don’t. It’s action packed, heart breaking and is full of angst. This isn’t as heat filled as some of her other books but it doesn’t make it less. There’s so much going on you can’t put it down. Be prepared to want to drop kick Skeeter and maybe his buddy too because he makes some really dumb choices. Dive in but beware this book end so an emotional cliffhanger. Oh wait that’s the norm so we are jonsing for more.

Oh heck no! I cannot deal! I can definitely tell why this book is named Shattered pieces! Normally my heart is broken then put back together again but I'm still shattered! I can't wait to see what happens in the next book and hopefully it puts my heart back together..I love me some RE Bond books and this series has always been my favorite but I felt the pain of this one. On a different note, I really can't wait for the next one like asap so I can find out what happened. Skeeter has always been one of my faves but he's pushing it and Hunter and Marco are taking his place quickly so he better step up and omg I miss Slash!!!

Book 5 continues where Reckless Vengeance ended and boy is it a wild ride! Rory and Lexi meet in prison and start causing chaos. Meanwhile you see the relationships the guys all have getting stronger or being tested depending on who you look at. Everyone is stressed, everyone is loosing their minds that Rory is in jail, and of course Skeet is being a menace to everyone. This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time! Between the banter, the flirting, and the violence there was never a dull moment. And fair warning that cliffhanger hurt!!! And now we have to wait for book 6 to see what happens :(

Shattered Pieces is the 5th book in the rewritten Watch Me Burn series. I loved this series the first time I read it and now I am completely obsessed with it!! This book picks up where the 4th book, Reckless Vengeance, left off. If you thought the other books took you on an emotional rollercoaster, you better strap in tight and hold on. This book is full of betrayal, love, heartbreak, new relationships, threats, and of course spice!!! I love how you get every characters POV throughout the book so you truly understand how they are feeling. That cliffhanger though…. Ugh!!! So not fair!!! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for Rory and her guys in the next book!!

Rory finds herself in jail, and her relationships with the guys, especially Skeet and Caden, are strained, if not broken. She gets close to some of the girls, as well as Hunter and Marco, who seem to be the only ones there for her these days. Once she gets out, things get even more complicated and new problems arise, with the Psychos, the Soldiers, and an unknown entity. Dark and spicy. Rory and her guys just can't quite seem to catch a break. They're unhinged but will do anything to protect her and help her be happy. Loved it!!!

Wow!!! That’s gonna take a second to process!! So much turmoil, drama, unexpected turns, they can’t catch a break! It was like I got on a rollercoaster and couldn’t find a way off… not that I really wanted off of this one… in fact, I can’t wait for the next ride! I still love that this series is being rewritten. I devoured it the first time, it left me with such a bad book hangover. And now reading it again, it feels like I’m reading it for the first time again. I love every emotional, unexpected moment.

Oh my goodness, get ready for a crazy ride full of emotions when you read this book. R.E. Bond I swear lives to torment you with her books. I mean the title alone should make you know you are going to be shattered. Do I keep coming back for more though? Why yes, yes I do.
Rory just proves she is the strong woman she is while still having her feelings and emotions to. There are twists and definitely some strong feelings towards some of the guys.

This rewrite is turning me into a nervous wreck. Im like an addict craving the next hit desperate to see what happens next...!!
The extra depth of story and characters is out of this world and my favourites change almost chapter-ly..
The new faces and extra main side characters is building into this chaotic world to bring it to life in new ways.
I will never stop recomending this to people who love a bigger why choose /rh and if they dont think they do i beg to differ.

This may be my favourite of the series (so far) and I just want more! Another rollercoaster of a story, emotions everywhere, and plenty of crazy drama.
The prison setting made this one fun. Intense at times, but it was fun seeing Rory navigate the situation she was in.
Hunter and Marco are becoming some of my fave characters, and Skeeter is driving me crazy, but I'm hoping he'll come around soon.
Can't wait for the next one!

Rory and her guys have moved into darker aspects in this installment. She is locked up and you have so much happening while she is in there. There are bonds forming and suspicion forming. Betrayal is exposed and bad decisions cause some pain. Ugh the emotions in this good grief.I can't even begin to go into what happens without spoiling anything. Then that bomb drop cliffhanger what the what the come on now.

Arrrrgh!!! This was SO appropriately named!!! You will be shattered reading this book! We see what Rory is made of as she navigates the latest challenge in her life. I feel like we see Rory mature in this book as she navigates new relationships in her new reality. We see who has her back and who lets perception dicate their actions. R.E. Bond made her story compelling and you will want to throw your kindle several times at a few of her guys. Well written and I devoured in a weekend!

I have waited for this book for a bit and this is how you want to treat us??? That was a big emotional rollercoaster for sure. Skeeter has been my favorite from the beginning but damn I’m torn. I figured Velcro was going to bottom out but not this!!! This has me wanting to riot to get the next book. I honestly don’t know what to say after that cliffhanger. I know they all not to get their acts together.

Omg! What did I read? RE Bond has such a way with words. This is the 5th book in the Watch Me Burn (rewritten series) and it does not disappoint! This book has it all. Fighting, drama, and some things you won’t see happen. Have some tissues handy as you will need them for sure. This is not a stand alone book and needs to be read in order.
