This was lovely, it felt so grounding to read. The messy affair between T and J felt so encompassing, painful, and realistic. The mixture of bittersweet with the heartbreaking reality they had to muddle through was nice. I especially love each moment they both have where they choose each other. Even when they're afraid and everything's raw and vulnerable. Gosh, T better than me, I'm not sure I would've borrowed that trouble super hot kraken or not. 😂 But I suppose being true mates helps smooth the way.
Really enjoy the growing unfurl of the world's politics and lore. I'm eager for that mostly! 😂 Also, I know you enjoy scenery descriptions and the inner-worlds of characters, but your dialogue is always amazing! Would love to see more of that! And also, if you have any more Black-coded monsters, like the orc from an earlier book, that'd be nice too. 👀🙌🏾

Another good one!
Wow this one was the same basic premise but with a unique twist. The main characters were well presented & flawed. Which we all are in our own ways. Makes the story more palpable. I have read everything she has written now, so will have to impatiently wait for her next adventure.

Enjoyed this novella length story. I particularly liked the circle back to a previous couple. I will follow this author's work to see what's next.
