Chase Lombardi was introduced in Teach Me To Love Again. Now he has his story.Three years since his discharge from the Marines, life has been smooth sailing for Chase Lombardi. He operates his own business and answers to no one but himself. But things are rapidly changing to upset his peaceful way of life. It begins with the woman whose life he saved during a vicious attack. Jasmine Smith has caught his attention, but another man is also vying for her hand. Then, there is the secret that Chase is keeping from his family. If he doesn’t get it together soon, the cracks in the foundation the former Marine Gunnery Sargent has built for himself will slowly start to crumble.

Chase and Jasmine’s love journey. These two-fought for their love ❤️ both Chase and Jasmine carry baggage into the relationship that ultimately could have broke them up for good. She was left at the alter by a already married man and Chase left the arm forces after being captured by the enemy and tortured. But love always prevails in the end. I love this author and her style of writing and of course the HEA ending. 5 stars
This is Kyle's brother Chase's Love Story. I liked this story line slightly better, plus it allows us to catch up with Kyle, Breanna & Allyson. I liked how the author incorporated the story lines of Chase, Kyle and to some extent, the youngest brother Daniel.
I was shocked having a black daughter-in-law. There were inconsistencies in the timeline in the story. No clear explanation of why his rival resented him so much.
The same issues plagued this book as explained in my review of Book One in this series. Great elements, tweaks needed. Having said all this, I still enjoyed what the story tried to be.
I love how this story had real life situations of war. The action, suspense and drama in this story had me locked in. Great chemistry. H/ h were interesting characters who made me cheer them on. Enjoyed this book💕
Judgemental at times, preachy much, but you get that you have two flawed people who need someone in their life and they meet and fall in love! Both have dysfunctional family members, with issues around race and personal values, but they choose to put their love first!
Loved the first book with Kyle & Brea, & after reading their story a second time, realized there had to be a book about Chase & found it. I must say Ms Brown engages the reader from the very beginning - the story grabs & holds you from start to finish. And thanks for keeping it real regarding predjudism & interracial relationships . Too many books either down play or act as if it doesn't exist Took away a star due to grammical errors, sentencing structure, missing words, etc,...
Type Lawson Brown writing is progressing. I enjoyed this book because of the multiple layers of drama, suspense and social issues that were covered. From ptsd, domestic violence, dog abuse, stalking, violence and so much more wrapped up with a romantically happily ever after.
Loved it. Chase the hero was HOT,his parents were racist. They did not want their four sons to marry outside of their race. Chase suffered from PTSD from beheld by terrorists. Jasmine moved to Cleveland with her best friend Heather to open a restaurant. This story had a stalker cop,an unsupportive father, a mugger, arsonists, and lots of steamy sex.
I thoroughly enjoyed Chase and Jasmine's story....so many obstacles were thrown their way...from Ptsd to obsessed cop stalker ...disapproving parents...flaky exes.....immature friends and siblings...no wonder they chose Faith,Hope and Serenity for the names of their surprised bundles of joy.
I like the main characters and thought them to be develop it was just a little something missing. Can't put my finger on it. I did not think the dialogue between the two followed as well as the first book in this series. That being said, I did enjoy the book.
I absolutely loved this book. I really enjoyed how it connected both books and received a full picture of what was going on. This book really made me believe I'll find love one day. I positively loved the message behind the girls' names. It's my mantra as well.
I have read several of Toye Lawson Brown's interracial romance books, but this one is the best. I love the chemistry between Chase and Jasmine it was amazing.
Another great book from Mrs Brown. It is wonderful to find someone who will protect, love and cherish you too no end. A book for all those true romantic.
