I pull the patio door open and run out first. I can feel Chas behind me, but next thing I hear is a gunshot and Chas yelling. Dropping the pillow slip on the dry grass, I turn around to find Chas limping a bit. I can see the owner of the house pointing his gun our way. I hear a clicking of his gun as he pulls the trigger again, but this time nothing happens. I reach out, grabbing Chas. Chas is holding dearly to that damn pillow slip. I grab it from his hand and tosses it. “Fuck that shit!” I shout and grab Chas by his hand, pulling him along. I don’t want anything to hold us down. “No, get that shit!” he yells. I glance over my shoulder, realizing the owner of the house must be out of bullets after only one shot or his gun is jammed. I don’t want to take a chance by reaching for that damn pillow slip. I yank Chas hard, causing him to move faster. We finally get to the street, seeing that D-Note isn’t around. Chas points. “I parked down there.” I look down at Chas’ leg, seeing his pants leg looks soaked. Without saying any more words, Chas and I run for it as fast as we can. Limp or not he’s on it. At his car I hop in the driver’s seat. He tosses me the car keys. Starting it up, I begin to back up, and as I do something whizzes right past my damn head. I stop and look ahead. I can’t believe I see a bullet hole right in the center of Chas’ windshield. “That cat shooting at us. Gooooooo!” Chas hollers as he reaches for his gun from his waistband. He places his gun out the passenger’s window, aims, and lets off a few rounds back at the old man. I am so shocked I lose myself for a minute and then press down on the gas pedal hard as I can while moving in reverse. Then I spin the damn car in a circle and shift the gear into drive, push the metal to the floor, and hit it. Gunshots rings out behind us, but nowhere near us.

Wow! The action, drama and suspense continued in Part 2. This is a short read, I couldn't put it down so I finished in a few couple of hours. This was a great follow-up that ended too quickly. When Ms. Divine says grimey, this book definitely showed you what she meant. I will definitely read more of her books.
This book gets 4 * simply because it's a spin off from the Bitchery series and either I wasn't focused or it was all just confusing as hell....and I read it in the order the author suggested. It's just too much of a long, drawn out, complicated story when you factor in 5 Bitchery books with 2 Grimey Bitch books somewhere in between. That's just too much to take in. The end result....lies, greed, lust, murder, deception, revenge, cover ups, evil...nobody is who they appear to be. I rated Bitchery series at 5* but after reading this and finding out there are more spin off books from the series, I just feel the author is doing the most...too much!
This is definitely a must read. I absolutely loved it...I was surprised by a few things. If you haven't checked out part 1 and part 2....take my word for it you won't be disappointed. While you at it check out all of Karmel Divine's books...Keep up the good work...u never disappoint me...#1 Fan...
This book was well worth the wait.I loved all the twist, turns and drama. The secrets that came out was way beyond cray.I can't believe all the shit Parrish found out about her family.I wasn't expecting that secret about Siles but kinda figured it out lol.Cant wait for something else by this author
Karmel Divine earned a loyal fan since reading Bitchery. So it's only right. I had to get all her other books to. I'm glad that this book you got closer on all the characters.
Who would have known? Being as though I already read the bitchery series. I knew answers to the questions by character clues. It was a wild story plot. Parrish is no joke.
