As a Syndicate princess, I'm used to being underestimated. As a Capo dei Capi and Pakhan's wife, they know I will stop at nothing to bring back my king. With Parker at my side and an army of tactical mobsters at my back, I hand myself over to Kane wrapped in a pretty pink, shiny bow. I mean, the show must go on after all.
If you are new to the world of Ruby Darling well buckle up and get ready for a ride. I cannot recommend her books enough! Though this is a duet I highly recommend reading the Rayne- Moore University series prior to starting this duet so you can truly appreciate the world and side characters that you will experience in this book.
Now, we jump right back in after the cliffhanger (still haven’t recovered from the first books ending). I love that Ruby wasted no time! My heart rate was pumping reading the first few chapters. This book centers around Sabrina and her husband Maksim and her other significant other/bodyguard (soon to be more) Parker aka Savage. If you read the first book you can already anticipate what’s going to happen. The plot is driven by famine rage and revenge. Sabrina’s character arc was absolutely beautiful. She is strong, kind and fiercely loyal. She will do anytime to get her husband back and also protect Parker. I kept humming the tune 🎶 “where the hell is my husband” 🎶 the way she stepped up in Maksim’s absent with not only the mafia capos but the Bratva too was giving pure boss b!tch energy. They all respected her. I love a revenge plot and this was so well done!! Oh and sneaking in a Maverick POV!! What?! The way I screamed! I love seeing characters from her other series! Raven and Sabrina’s friendship is true sisterhood! Girls who make their enemies pay together stay together right?!
The spice was so freaking good! The chemistry between her and her men and how they know her so well! Whew! DP and DVP 🔥🥵🔥 yes please!
The trauma each main character has endured was very emotional and I felt very connected to them. Each has different triggers or demons they have to confront and overcome. Damon being there to provide therapy and support was so well done! Ruby made them real and relatable without making them look or feel weak. Especially with Maks as he really struggles after being rescued. I love how they work through everything and come out stronger. There were a lot is secrets unearthed and seeing Sabrina get revenge for those who were wronged was glorious. The ending was perfect. And that epilogue!!! Oh my gosh the way I screamed with excitement! I need more!
If you love dark romance, famine rage and revenge, why choose/MFM, strong FMC, morally grey men who would do anything for their woman then you will enjoy this book!

Thank you so much to author Ruby Darling and her team for allowing me to ARC read Snap in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

🧁Snap 🧁was everything I thought it was going to be and more, I am so proud of how far Sabrina was able to grow into herself. She really found who she was in her darkest moments. I love a good revenge story and Ruby sure knows how to make a girl get PAY BACK. I honestly enjoyed this story so much. I ate it up.
This story picks up right where scream left off, so there is immediate suspense. I was hooked from the first page. Bad Bitch/Girl Boss vibes immediately. Sabrina stands by her men. No one is going to take them from her, she will make sure of that in all her 🩷 PINK 🩷 glory.
Parker is quite literally made for her, he knows her better than she knows herself. Parker isn’t just her partner but also her best friend. The best friend that is going to give/tell you what you need and not what you want. Sabrina’s love for Parker is shown while she stood by him after he gets shot, almost losing him tore her apart. She makes sure he is well enough to get Maksim back. They do not play when it comes to their husband, no one will stand in their way.
Maks is the one you never knew you needed. He embraces the darkness within her and allows her to dwell in that space. Their love is the force that made her conquer her worse fears. Maksim getting taken lit something fierce in Sabrina. I loved to see it, She put her PINK 👑 on and became BOSS LADY. The respect Maksim’s people have for Sabrina is honestly one of my favorite things in this story. She is not just Maksim’s wife, she is their boss in her own right. 🩷
I am always a why choose girl, but this time I truly feel with my whole soul that this trio belongs together.
Oh and don’t get me started on my girl Raven in this book. That is a Ride Or Die best friend. I already love her so much. When she set fire to make sure Sabrina was safe, knowing damn well she was pregnant and HID FROM HER HUSBANDS?! I knew it was about to go down. Raven is such a bad ass herself, and her showing up for Sabrina and being the anchor she needed was really great to see. (The Pink Panther song was my favorite Raven moment in this story, aside from the fire). 💜🐦⬛
Sabrina is a true Duchess and bad ass. I hope everyone can see her growth and know it is possible to get passed the things we have gone through. Life is hard but you are STRONG.
Ruby you did SUCH AN AMAZING JOB! Thank you so much for the eARC and allowing me the opportunity to provide my honest review.

The title could not be more fitting because Sabrina has absolutely snapped. She will burn the worl down if that’s what it takes to get Maks back, and there is nothing she won’t do.
The first half of this book is dark, chaotic, aggresive, and completely unhinged in the best way. Watching Sabrina fully embrace the monster within her while building a chaotic ruthless plan to get to Maks had me absolutely glued to the pages. Ruby took the darkness from book one and somehow made it even more unhinged and feral.
One of the things I continue to absolutely love about Ruby’s writing is how she keeps expanding this tangled web of interconnected characters and relationships. Every new character added feels intentional and layered, never just filler, and each one somehow deepens the chaos, loyalty, and emotional wieght.
And seeing familiar faces woven back into the story?? Obsessed. Aleksi and Niko’s presence was like coming home. Seeing old friends in the middle of absolute carnage. But beyond that, they bring this unexpected levity and humor into the darkness. In the middle of all the chaos, trauma, and violence, those moments of banter and familiarity felt like little breaths of air before being thrown right back inot the madness.
But the second half of this book? That’s what truly got me. And it’s hard to explain why without spoilers. But beneath all the violence, obsession, and chaos is something painfully human. Because healing isn’t linear. Healing is ugly and exhausting and complicated - not just for the person tryinig to survive it, but for those loving them through it. Watching the internal and external battles unfold was honestly hard to read at times. The anger, the grief, the fractured pieces. There is this constant push and pull between wanting revenge, wanting peace, wanting control, an desperately wanting to feel whole.
Ruby balanced the darkness with the emotional aftermath in a way that hit so much harder than I expected, and I genuinely was not prepared for how deep this story would go.
Snap turned out to be everything I dreamed of and MORE. I was left not breathing at the end of Scream & we are dropped in right where we left off, which I always appreciate. My expectations of this book weren't simply met, they were demolished and rebuilt into something more. I have always felt a closeness to Sabrina, and seeing her snap and rage truly was a healing moment. "...A woman like Sabrina, who knows the answers and has no questions...under the weight of that mask and pink armor, well...she'll snap."
Could be considered mild spoilers - proceed with this is mind 🩷
I think my biggest takeaway from this is the absolute STRENGTH each character exhibited. Sabrina facing her biggest trauma for her husband. "This is for my husband. I can do this." Her violent strength was a thing of beauty, and I feel so much pride. Parker repeats his mantra and pushes through, standing beside Sabrina to save "our" husband. And Maks repeating "I will not go back to my wife broken" throughout actually broke me. They all truly went through so much, and watching them fight with and for each other and the life they wanted was so hard but beautiful. I loved every single second.
I also really loved the moments where I cackled because both of our groups are absolutely hilarious, and putting them together is so entertaining. Pink Panther literally was golden. IYKYK. Sabrina's inner thoughts were actually amazing and felt great because I too...am the drama lol
Anyways, this duet is God-Tier for me, and I highly recommend jumping in! I am so thankful to be a part of Ruby Darling's street team. It's truly an honor to be an early reader. Haven't joined the fun yet? Start with Speak <3
I have been waiting—aching—for the follow‑up to Sabrina’s story since the last pages of Scream, and let me tell you: SNAP didn’t just meet my expectations. It obliterated them. And when SNAP finally dropped? I didn’t just read it. I devoured it. I ascended. I became a creature of pure serotonin and vengeance.
Sabrina is a brilliant, avenging angel. A blade wrapped in pink silk. A woman who has been forged in fire and now walks through the world with the kind of quiet, lethal confidence that makes grown men rethink their life choices while commanding mafia men when necessary. And if you think you can mess with her men, you’re not just wrong—you’re courting death. And honestly? You deserve what’s coming.
What makes this addition to the duet truly sing is the way Parker and Maksim see her. Not as someone to protect from her own darkness, but as someone whose power deserves space, respect and the occasional nudge to unleash hell. The way they understand her—what she’s capable of, what she needs—is absolute perfection. The trust that they have in her is absolutely swoon worthy.
But the part that gutted me, healed me, and stitched me back together? Sabrina’s arc. It is a balm for anyone who has lived through trauma and clawed their way back to themselves. Watching her rise from the ashes of what was done to her and become a phoenix with no mercy… it’s cathartic. It’s empowering. It’s the kind of story that reminds you that survival isn’t the end—rebirth is.
This book isn’t just a follow‑up. It’s a reckoning. And Sabrina delivers it with fire in her veins and her men at her side throughout it all.
"My only pronouns currently are seek and destroy." "I'm done smiling politely. I'm choosing violence."
"I am alive. Though I've been through the valley of the shadow of Death, I have conquered evil and have no fear. Demons see me rise and seek refuge. Thought I am but a man, I am greater than the shadows that perch themselves above me. They do not have access to my mind nor my soul. I am the unconquerable. My demons fear me..."
I don't even know where to start. Snap was everything I ever thought it would be and more. I waited for so long (not really but let me exaggerate here) to see what Sabrina would do after Maksim is kidnapped and Parker is shot. She did not disappoint at all. Like not even remotely a little. Every part of her extraction plan was absolutely bonkers and so completely her. The icing on the cupcake was how many bodies she took down before offing her graper. And of course she kept her vow of what she wanted to do to him. But Snap wasn't just about Sabrina bringing her husband back to her and Parker (who also felt like he was missing a part of him), it was the aftermath. Sure, the extraction and everything took about 70% of the book, but the most important parts came after: when reality set in after they returned home and the healing starts. Maksim had me worried for a while that he wasn't going to bounce back, but he knew what he had to do aka a throat punch from Parker and multiple slaps from Sabrina. Damon being Damon and Raven being Raven was an integral part of all of their healing journeys so they can make it back to each other. In true Ruby fashion, ending the epilogue with a little tidbit for what's next and a "or is it" to leave us hanging (how dare you).
This deserves every star, no just for the feminine rage, but also the healing factors, the healthy showing of coping with trauma and finally admitting you need help, for unaliving the cockwomble, for all of it.

The chemistry between these characters is crazy and i cannot explain how cathartic Sabrina’s revenge arc was. And the way she turned into basically the new pakhan ( or “pecan 😉😂) was so girlboss i loved it. She made maksim proud and she stood by and helped Parker through alot of hard times. What i also loved in this book was the way they portrayed their struggles as a relationship after such a traumatic event. In alot of mafia books they make the leader MMC’s dark , broody and nonchalant. Which is obviously fine and that is what maks was like. But after what he went through Ruby didnt just make him go back to what he was before. His mental health took a bashing and this is extremely realistic. She let her MMC go through therapy without making him look weak and he owned it. Even in their throuple , it all took a massive toll on them. Sabrina was trying her best to help both parker and maksim each in different ways and she was also questioning what their relationship would look like with the “new” maksim.
All in all, this was so good. I read this all in about 4 hours and have absolutely no regrets. I wish we could continue the rayne-moore & duchess & devils series abit longer i dont want it to end!
Also the raven-damon-jonas-maverick sneak peaks were such closure for me! I was so happy to read and see how they were doing. Raven & sabrina were such menaces in this 😂

🎀🩷🖤🎀🩷🖤🎀🩷🖤🎀🩷🖤🎀🩷🖤🎀🩷🖤🎀🩷🖤 The fact that I DEVOURED this book in 24hrs just goes to show you, Ruby puts literal 🧚♀️ dust in her books! SNAP picked up right where SCREAM (Book 1) left off. My heart was in my throat the whole time! Sabrina & Parker are on the hunt to rescue Maksim from being kidnapped. Sabrina had some help from the M@fia and the Bratva, along with many beloved characters from The Tongueless Duet/ Rayne - Moore University to find the King of Brooklyn aka Maksi. I had many hopes and wanted to see a few things play out in this book, RUBY delivered PLUS SOME! 👏The spice to plot ratio was extremely proportional, and if you've read any Ruby books you know she does not disappoint in the SPICE department 🫦 OH and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book (is there a next book) IYKYK that ending was 🫨 *°•~♡Sidenote: The fact that the friendship between Sabrina & Raven was portrayed so organically in this book made me so happy. 🩷💜
Thank you again Ruby for the opportunity to ARC read for you 🫶🖤😘

Absolute F**king Banger of a read top tier in every way. In true Ruby fashion another beautifully written masterpiece. The way that Sabrina brought her bad ass side out had me wiping my drool off. The energy that bad bi**h puts off is nothing shy of amazing. This book took us in a whole new way with the story and the shift in the power dynamic between Maksim and Sabrina having him being vulnerable and her stepping into her power and strength. The amount of times I laughed so hard between her and Raven was unreal. That duo is my absolute fave. The way Ruby kept the story light in moments needed while we danced in the dark was spectacular. I enjoyed getting to have more of Parker and his place in the dynamic as I loved that sexy man so much. Loved getting to watch Sabrina play the role she was meant to be. When Raven played the damn pink panther song 🎶 pure heaven loved it. Amazing ending with that little curveball I had a feeling was coming. Great read absolute honor to get to have ARC read yet another great read by her.

This was full of revenge, chaos and healing. At times it was aggressive but wasn’t too much to bear. Sabrina’s dark side came out and I think it fits her well honestly. Clearly fitted the title to say the least. There definitely continues to be humor within the darkest of times, and I appreciated that given the circumstances, which was in the mist of chaos, and violence. But the healing from the trauma I think was the most beautiful side to this. It was that “coming home” feeling. Sabrina was there for Makism for his healing, but also was healing in the same and you felt that. It wasn’t pretty and they were hungry for each other. Even in the mist of exhaustion. Parker was the good balance and all them together with the constant push and pull with revenge to healing, I think he was the one to keep things straight. He made sure things were alright and everyone was perfectly capable with the aftermath of the violence. I really loved the badass side and feminine rage for sure. It was a change of pace. But to think this is the end—I doubt it. Let’s see where this goes!
The wait for Sabrina and her men was so damn worth it. All the stars, no notes. ✨
Did I hate being left on that cliffhanger in book one? Absolutely. But OMG — the amount of action, angst, and downright filthy smut packed into book two made up for it real fast.
Ruby has this way of writing that drags you through every emotion while keeping you on the edge of your seat and hanging onto your sanity by a thread.
Maksim & Parker are so disgustingly devoted, working through their own issues to become better for their queen, and I loved every second of it.
And the little glimpses of Raven and her boys?! Obsessed. Her and Sabrina are the soul-sister duo we didn’t know we needed.
After Scream, I was fully invested in this one. IT DID NOT DISAPOINT. It hooked me pretty quickly and kept me interested the whole way through. The characters were probably my favorite part. Sabrina is just bad ass, and this book made me love Parker a little bit more. They felt real and messy in a relatable way. The writing wasn't rushed, and there were enough moments of tension and surprise to keep things interesting. Some parts hit pretty hard emotionally, which made it even more memorable.
Sabrina really comes into herself in this book. She absolutely shows how strong and resilient she is. This book will make you laugh, cry, sob, and just generally feel every single feeling. The way Ruby wrapped up this duet was masterful and so darn perfect. I cannot wait to listen to the audiobook which should be available later this year with Joe Arden and Amy Hall.
Ruby's writing has a way of bringing you to your knees with all of the powerful emotions. The characters really speak to you and have a way of worming their way into your heart and soul. I will never forget these characters as well as Raven, Jonas, Damon, and Maverick from The Rayne-Moore University Duet. They will live in my head and heart forever.
ARC ♾️✨ Utter perfection! The way Ruby gave these hard, dangerous men hearts of gold and depth to feel what they felt is utter genius! And Sabrina…she’s my spirit animal!!
