The classroom teacher can use this book to base instruction on informal reading assessment which s/he may or may not have conducted. AWESOME resource that answers the question of "What do I do now that I know where my kids are struggling?" This book offers specific strategies that can be incorporated whole class, small group, centers/stations or one on one. Great ideas to share with parents when they ask what can I do to help my child become a better reader. Well worth the money and time. Organized and easy to read. Easy to find specific strategies too.

This was an assigned book for my grad school reading practicum. It has many useful ideas. I will be keeping it on my reference shelf for ideas when working with students.
