Finding the dog might just be murder
On the surface it seems like an easy case for private investigator Nicolette Briggs. Retrieve a stolen dog from her client's ex-husband, Richard Townsend. But things are never that easy. Soon the husband ends up dead, and the dog is nowhere to be found. To make matters worse, Nicolette is accused by the police of being involved in the murder.
But Richard Townsend was a con artist, leaving a trail of victims behind him, and there's no shortage of suspects. None of that is Nicolette's concern though, she just needs to find the dog. Meanwhile her daughter, Chloe, has a drama performance coming up, Nicolette somehow invites her family around for dinner, and then there's the mystery of why her step-brother is so determined to break into her house.

Just a standard week for Nicolette.

One Dog and a Whole Lot of Murder is the second book in the Nicolette Briggs series of cozy mysteries. Part Gilmore Girls, part Stephanie Plum, this is the perfect book for those that like their mysteries with a touch of humour and alot of heart.

Writing is one of those things that I have always done. I vividly remember spending most of an English exam writing a complicated adventure story as the answer to an exam question. I passed the exam, either because of, or despite the answer.

I tend to write the story that comes to mind, regardless of genre.

Like Richard Osman with a Kiwi accent. Another cracker from Rodney Strong with his quirky cast of characters and a plot that will keep you guessing till the end. Loved it.
