A missing college student. A dark riverbank. A mystery that begins with one last walk into the night. When twenty-two-year-old Layon “LJ” Price vanishes after a night out near the Chattahoochee River, police assume the a drunk college kid, a dark riverbank, a tragic accident.
But LJ’s father isn’t convinced. And neither is private investigator Sloane Merritt.
Four days missing. No body. No witnesses. Just a bar fight, fractured relationships, and a final glimpse of LJ walking into the night.
As Sloane digs deeper, the timeline begins to fracture. Security footage reveals blind spots. Witnesses remember shouting—but no splash. And every answer seems to raise a more dangerous question.
Did LJ fall? Did he run? Or did someone make sure he never made it home?
Meanwhile, a long-silent witness in Eden Pike’s disappearance finally steps forward—bringing Sloane closer than ever to the truth she’s been chasing for twenty years.
Last Call is Book Four in the gripping Sloane Merritt Missing Persons Thriller series—perfect for fans of twisty investigations, emotional suspense, and mysteries that don’t let go.

Last Call was another great book. Sloane is making progress on her best friend's disappearance and is asked to find a 22 year old college student. The Sloane Merritt Missing Persons series has been a wonderful gift that has made me a forever fan. The team of Sloane, Theo Calder and Ash Patel are a great investigation trio, that tracks down missing persons. They are characters that get you involved in the process and keep you intrigued and captivated until the end of the book. The stories all play with emotion and a need to complete the investigation.

I felt this book was predictable but the last half had a few twists where I had no idea where the author was taking it. Sloane is a very likeable character however L.J., who disappears, become a character that even though he was missing, I was not hoping as much for him. He was not a character that I found likeable the more that the book went on.
This author just loves cliffhangers though and rolling into the next book….so I want to read the next book NOW! :)
M.K. Quinn has quickly become my new favorite author. Last Call is a slightly harder read than the first few... but for the best reasons! The mystery keeps you guessing and I feel so invested in the cases. I can't wait to read what Sloane, Ash and Theo are up to next. And OMG what will we learn about Eden next!!
This is such a fabulous series and this book doesn't disappoint. Fans of the shoe DISAPPEARED on ID Channel will find this series like a novel version of the show! Realistic cases that keep you guessing. Great work. **I received an ARC and am leaving this review voluntarily**
I enjoyed reading this. The story was easy to follow and from the first until the last page, it kept me on my toes, especially when we found out what happened to LJ Price.
