Ok- this book is so under hyped- the entire book had me second guessing MYSELF. Literally would have a theory then the next chapter would completely throw me off. It was the perfect in between of “super natural” and real life. The main character being a pyschologist is so interesting and allows the book to have a deeper meaning. The ending was by far one of the best endings to a book that I have read ever- it was perfectly balanced and had me absolutely shocked. This book took me a bit longer than I had anticipated, but could easily be read in one sitting. Oh also- I have never read a book with this kind of writing, I enjoyed the way the narrator occasionally repeated herself after a few sentences, it sort of immerses you into the psychological aspect.
The storytelling here was unlike any other book I’ve read. The ebb and flow of wonder and emotions made it impossible to put down. Skylar Finn is easily one of my favorite authors. Read this book as soon as you can!
This started off strong with the opening scene and then I thought it fell a bit flat. Just seemed to take so long for anything semi exciting to happen after that. I did predict the big reveals, but I still thought they were fun. It was just okay in my opinion, didn’t love it but didn’t hate it.
Suspenseful well written story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The twist at the end was a bit easy to figure out if you pay attention throughout the book but still excellent
