This book was so binge-worthyyyyy!!! like start it and don’t move until it’s done. And at under 200 pages!!!? you’re finishing it in one sitting. It’s different, unique, a little freaky (in the best way), and just a genuinely fun ride. The FMC is that girl‼️ but the girl that no one notices.. let me just say , that’s short LIVED 🤭🤭 this book picked up quickly and had me full on entertained. First of all I love a university setting.. I eat it UP. Mind control…she’s influencing thoughts, outcomes, wants.. I won’t say too much because going in blind is part of the experience, but just know: it’s weird, it’s fun, and it works!
Also the visuals for this was chefs kisssss!! The cover, the art, the trope slides… everything elevated the experience. This was one of the easiest five stars to give . Truly enjoyed! Congratulations Abagail!
Oh wow, this one completely pulled me in! Raven is such a fascinating character quiet and unnoticed at first, but watching her discover her power and how she starts to play the game of influence was just addictive.
The story hits hard with tension, little twists, and unpredictable moments that kept me hooked from start to finish. I loved the university setting it gave such a fun, immersive vibe and the mix of weird, a little freaky, and genuinely clever moments made the whole ride so entertaining.
The way the story teases danger, desire, and control had me constantly guessing what would happen next.
I had some expectations based off the synopsis which made me sign up for an ARC. This book exceeded those expectations!!! I ate this up in less than 24 hours!
There’s twists, and more twists! Just when I thought I had something figured out, it flipped! I was talking to my kindle for my than half of the book!
I can’t wait for the next installment of the series. If you’re looking for mouth dropping read full of drama and anticipation, this it!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book might have been on the shorter side but boy was I engaged the whole time. Yes it took me a little longer to read, life got crazy, but honestly for this being my first ARC, I loved it! I’m not sure if there is plans to be a second book but I think there 100% should be a second book! I need to know more about Raven’s story and what happens next! I will say I do like raven a little more cause her middle name is my first name and I think that is so intriguing when you don’t truly have that common of a name.
Arc Review: The story started out strong and the premise of the story is great and kept me interested that i finished the book in one day, however there were a few inconsistencies. I was expecting more from a psychological thriller.
