Curvy Christina Riley has done everything right. With a successful career, great friends, and funky style, she should have all that she wants, but at 29 years old, she's beginning to feel that she'll always be a bridesmaid and never a bride.
When she meets devastatingly handsome Travis Maxwell, all bets are off. With his smoldering good looks, he oozes confidence. Attending her best friend’s wedding doesn't seem so bad anymore for Christina. But what looks like confidence may be masking something sinister.
Is Travis who he seems or is there a secret yet to be told? Will taking a chance on love put Christina in harm's way?
Ugh..... Almost nothing happened for a huge portion of the book, it finally gets interesting and cliffhanger. I liked Chrissie, but didn't need the minute by minute details of her life. I knew going in that we wouldn't get the whole story (since the title includes a part 1), but felt the cliffhanger was a bit abrupt.
I feel as if I was fooled into reading this so I would pay for the next book. This is the first time the story does not end with the book I am reading. I do not mind a series, but this is not that. All of a sudden her charming man is a drug dealer and we are left with a cliff hanger. Probably will not buy the other just because of the way this was handled.
Writing was all over the place, characters were unrealistic. I hate when all men within a 50 mile radius is coming on to a character all the time. Definitely a Mary Sue main character. Also someone was ALWAYS winking, "hip bumping", or "shrieking with laughter. Ugh *eye-roll*.
