Safe Controlled Frustration
What is love? Does it mean sacrificing and compromising for the sake of the other? It can be simple and tricky at the same time. Lines can be crossed and boundaries can be shattered, all in the name of love, but is it really love? Should it be easy . . . like a Sunday morning? Should it make you feel warm and fuzzy inside?
All these questions are valid. Love can look different for different people. It just depends on the lens from which one is looking. Sometimes, trauma and past experiences can muddy the waters, along with different personality traits. That is why effective communication is important. It helps to be able to understand the person one says he or she loves.
Bali and Noni Henderson don’t have trauma. They are just closed off. It takes the right man to penetrate their hard resolves. Carter Legend Semien and Craig ‘Red Squared’ Anderson are trying to be the men they both need, who will understand their struggles and help them work through them.

Book 28 in the Henderson’s universe. I have enjoyed watching this family and extended family and friends grow. Who would’ve thought we’d be getting a story from the twin twisters. I definitely was on edge to see how everything would pan out just because I knew they had it in them to raise hell with each other and anyone else. As always, the Author ties in something real in her stories and this one was no different. The introduction of ice in big city Nome was handled very well and true to form of how this has played out in the US.
Add a rate I don’t wanna say too much and spoil anything for anyone else. So I’ll just say the story flowed well. The characters are always interesting. The crossover is always welcomed between series. The drama is always high and the love is always strong now the next couple up I have no doubt they are going to take us through it. I recommend this Author’s catalog..

In my feelings
I really enjoyed this book. I was glad when Bali gave Noni the space to realize things on her own, and to make decisions without her influence.
I was worried for a second about Red Squared and Noni, but I loved their growth.
I didn’t expect Carter to react the way he did, and him and Bali had me a little emotional. I knew they would get it together though.
I liked how the author added things that’s happening in our world these days. It’s a work of fiction, with a lot of realism. I can’t wait for the next book.

I’ve always said that if an author can pull all the emotions out of me, then I’ve read a great book. However, this read superseded that and gave another reason as to why Monica Walters is the GOAT! I have never had a love/hate relationship with each main character for the majority of the book! Wheeew these characters turned me every which way but loose😮💨
When I started this book I had some preconceived notions about Red Squared and Noni’s relationship as well as Bali’s attitude. This was from previous books but like with all books in this series I should realize by now that I really don't know anything🥴 I didn’t have too much to go on with Carter but seeing him and Bali together softened her a little in my eyes and then… that feeling started to change🤦🏾♀️ Both couples took me through multiple emotions at the same time and by the end of this book, I didn't know if I was coming or going.
Although there was a ton of emotion the progress and growth of each main character and even a few secondary characters was beautiful to see. Yes, we still have the Henderson shenanigans because… well they're the Hendersons but adding in both Red Squared and Carter’s families and friends made this experience even better. I also really enjoyed reconnecting with the older characters and seeing them maneuver and adjust to their children’s highs and lows.
There is a lot that happened within the pages that I can't speak on because I'm not one to give spoilers. I will say that like previous Monica Walters books the storyline is top-notch and the curve balls are definitely coming! I couldn't wait to experience the twin twisters and they did not disappoint! Now I see Seven is up next and I don't care how much I prepare myself I know I'm not ready for him, his attitude, or his mouth😩

When the book first opened up, I honestly thought it was gonna be more of the same of the family being over involved in someone else's relationship and almost DNF'd.
Monica did a great job on Henderson's Family Saga 28!! I love the way she incorporated our frustrations with the current events: ICE and social injustice.
At the same time servin that Henderson family drama.The cast keeps growing, yet somehow she was able to incorporate the old and the new characters and plots. Making it fresh and nostalgic at the same time!
Admittedly, I need a glossary to keep up with all the niece's, nephews, and cousins. I can't keep up, and while we're at it, are there no other people between Nome and Liberty? Because these people are all dating each other!

Quiet Storms!
I came into this thinking erybody would be off the chain. Well, I got a little bit. These twins had definitely grown. I’m on book 20 after entering Hendersonville in ok 26. So going back and seeing the 2nd Gen from birth I felt the shenanigans would be really dramatic. Bali more so than Noni, but baybeee she’s so mature. I have no issue with what her almost decision was. She didn’t actually say go, but she didn’t stop it either, oh well. I was very shocked by Carter’s reaction and how far he went with it. Knowing Bali as long as he did, I thought the conversation would come immediately if he needed clarity. Happily it worked out. That time apart tore these two down. Red, well he’s always been Red. He and Mythic were no surprises to me. But his turn around once he saw the possibility of losing Noni, admirable to say the least. Noni was messy but she was reacting in her feelings and I’m glad everyone told her about herself. It helped her get it together. Praises for Marcus’ return. That was really awful.
Now Monica got twenty-leven stories she done started in this one book and I’ll be right here for them all. My stepson Royal, just pray y’all…lol!

Great Read 📚✨❣️
We knew the twin storms were going to be epic ...that Bali, didn't see that coming. She's more gangsta than I imagined. We'll see how or if those consequences find there way back sometime in the future..🤔😫. Bali and Carter were endgame from the word go, He just needed time but their together time was spicy 🫦. Noni and Red Squared were different sides of the same coin and just needed a mirror to see 👀themselves clearly and get themselves together individually before moving forward. Thankfully, they also stopped comparing themselves to Bali and Carter because comparison is the thief of joy. Something Carter knew and Red Squared had to cone to realize professionally are well. Oh my goodness!
What a ride... we experienced all of the Storms! I loved how each POV was established pulling out EVERY emotion out of me.
That doggone Noni surprised me. I thought she was the mellow one of the twins but she showed me she is INDEED Seven "THEE Storm's" daughter. She had no chill coming at Red Squared once she got going‼️
Whew and then the love and realness of all of the families and how they ride for each other, always give me the feels! Can't forget about Watchful Eyes how they ALWAYS rise to the occasion.

Twice the Love
Monica Walters did it again. Great writing and character development. These twins turned out to be a lot better than I thought they would be. But they still had some of their stank attitude ways about them. 🤣 These men had them looking at themselves and reevaluating. I think I like this story better than Maui and Mystic's. Carter Legend is a sweetheart to Bali. Noni and Red Squared had some things to work out. This book touched on future books that could be in the making. Royal and Aaliyah's book seems like it's going to be freak nasty and I'm here for it. 🤭So many possible couples and I'm looking forward to continuing this Big City Nome Journey.

A Definite Page Turner
These twins are way too much like Mayor Daddy!! Bali and Carter were the definition of true love. They had no problem being affectionate or showing anyone how in love they were with each other. Noni and Red Squared both had to work on themselves before they could be anything for one another. Of course, the Henderson's can never function without drama. The situation with ICE took the family through. Along with the relationship drama for both sets of twins. They all managed to work things out peacefully. SS has a lot of growing to do. I can't wait to find out more about Kingsley and Treasure and Royal and Aaliyah. Awesome read!

Double trouble
Monica you did it again!! Every book in this series gets better and better. I knew Bali and Noni would be a memorable one. The toughest girls in the family both show they have a soft side. Noni her hard shell on until it costs her to lose the only man she ever loved Red. They both have issues they need to deal with within themselves but both realize they don't want to do it with anyone else. Bali and Carter have the cutest relationship. One bad decision made by Bali almost made her lose it all. She definitely didn't regret it but didn't know if Carter would be able to forgive and trust her again. I can't wait to see who's next. Waiting on the next book.

Twin Twisters!!!
Baby this was a wild ride!!! Bali and Carter were a beautiful teen love that grew into Adult love with all the sexxxxy and soul ties they were just beautiful but when they beefed I was hurt! But swoon lol now that Noni was something else & her & Red Squared couldn't get out they oen way but when they did!! He was a sight to see it was just a beautifully sexy and exciting time!! That drama with Marcus & his family made me want to fight and I wanted to box them old folks up!! But Treasure & Kingsley gonna be sexxxxy! A time was had in Big City Nome.

Worth the wait
Couldn’t wait for this book and now I can’t wait for the next. It felt like a huge family reunion with all the characters from multiple series . I love every family in Monica’s catalog so it did my heart good to be able to read and see a lot of the there. Those twins sure were getting on my nerves at different times but they their daddy’s kids .. mini twisters for sure. That Seven I wanted to pop him in his mouth . Overall great book can’t wait for the next one.

Bali and Carter had me hooked from the very first chapter—their love felt so genuine and sweet. Even their rough patch just made me love them more with how they handled it.
Noni and Red Squared? A whole emotional storm. You could feel the love, but the miscommunication made things messy—I’m glad they got it together.
And MyStorm? Yeah… he’s that man in Big City Nom!

It takes the love of Carter and Red Squared to get them to embrace their softer side. This story wasn’t without some drama and craziness, but it wouldn’t be a Henderson family story if it didn’t. I loved the way Carter and Bali loved on each other and I loved the growth between Noni and Red Squared. I’m looking forward to the next installment. 3.75/5 stars

I was extremely happy to see the growth and evolution in them getting to their soft girl era. Book 28 did not disappoint at all. And in true Monica Walter’s fashion, there is laughter, heartache, love, and lots of wise gems.

I really thought the twins story was going to be a hot mess but I’m so glad to see they have calmed down and are beautiful successful young women and got the men they deserved. I love how Uncle Mayor Storm let them handle their problems without causing too much ruckus😀

STUBBORN, STUBBORN, STUBBORN!!
These were two of the most stubborn women that kinda got on my last nerve. Red Squared had his issues, YES; but it took him about to lose his career before Noni realized that she too had issues, that she needed to work on. Bali, girl...you had someone wacked and you expected Carter Ledgend to just get over it. That's crazy work.
All in all, I loved the read and happy they all got their ish together.

Loved it, especially touching on that racist group ICE who currently terrorizes our community for no reason. That puts this story in real life, for me.
Now for the twins, Noni and Bali, I appreciated seeing the growth in their mean a$$es! That turn about face of Red Squared was welcomed. Carter surprised me, with his reaction to what Bali did. They're the Henderson's. He knew their history and how hard they go for family. Glad that he came to his senses!

It was as I thought it would be.....twists(pun intended)and turns around every point, but I didn't expect anything less when it came to Bali and Noni ....but Storm mentioned a triple wedding oooh weee
This amazing AUTHORESS keeps producing these amazing works of art, like Prince was with his music, pumping out hits 💙
Now I have to go find something else to read to match this AUTHORESS swag, which is hard !!! 🥰

Bali and Noni were one and the same but expressed themselves differently; they were their sister’s keeper and twin in every way. Really liked how Carter and Red Squared matured and treated Balj and Noni like individuals. Now a follow up will be needed because Kingsley and Treasue, Aaliyah and Royal, Seven and Iesha, and all the stuff happening with Marcus.

Loved It
A great read, I love everything about the Henderson's. Those twins were about to take me out, being just like their daddy, Storm in different ways. I can't wait for Seven to get some act right! Carter and Red Squared was just what Bali and Noni needed in their lives. All of the family dynamics is refreshing, family over everything!

Every book that you write gets better and better, Carter and Bali had me scared for a minute but thank God that they worked it out... Red and Noni Lord have mercy they are to hotheads but when they realize Red was about to lose everything they got some act right. Seven just like his daddy with that mouth.... Safe Controlled frustration
Well you did it again this was a great read I would definitely recommend this book. Bali and Noni surprised me I really thought they would produce a category 5 hurricane but they were really on their better behavior. I really enjoyed the roller-coaster ride of both of their relationships.

Book 28!!
Lord Storm's kids!!! Bali and Noni took me thru it!! They needed the men they ended up with those girls are fyecrackers!! I think Bali and Carter made the perfect couple he's the calm to her storm!! I loved that Noni and Red got it together they clearly loved each other!!

Love ❤️ Henderson Family
These twins have been a characters since they were toddlers. So it doesn’t surprise me that they developed into amazing women with page turning drama. Now the added drama twist in from other family members was great as well. I
