They hook up in an epic sunset best ever way. three months later she is takes a job to launch in Hawaii and guess the billionaire who is her new boss. Some parts around the business launch and sabotaging rivals were boring for me and I skimmed. Some parts of the plot were good at first but then they just went on too long🫪🤌💀 soapy fluff stories are better when not stuffed with Ai furniture and interior design descriptions 👴🏻➡️life is short‼️ at least it was steamy

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. This is a story about Mandi Snow and Bishop Blackwood, two years ago, they ruin a relationship for three months until he walked away, and now they are together for their best friends wedding, and have a one night stand where once again Bishop walks away. Mandi has been hired to be the events manager on Hawaiian island, and where she discovers. The Bishop once again is in her life, but as her boss.
The old chemistry that was there before is there again and they have regular romantic trysts until she discovers that she is pregnant. Not only does she have to deal with a new job but also there is someone in the company is selling secrets and Mandi takes it upon herself to discover who is responsible all while dealing with her pregnancy and then with Bishop discovering that he is going to be a father, their feelings for each other develop strongly, where it leads eventually to a happily ever after with twins.

A good read tho I still don’t understand what business they were doing as each event seemed to vibe by the company rather than a client.
So it was rather confusing tbh.
I get one event to show how they work but more than that seemed pointless.
A power couple in the making.
He was powerful and rich she was his ex who he ran from due to not wanting her to have the ability to break him emotionally m.
She was hurt but him but they met at a wedding and had a one night stand years after he ghosted her.
She they got a job at his new event company as coordinator, she was the best at what she did and they worked well and had great banter.
Someone was sabotaging the event and she out her south hat on and found the coloured then the source, and it was closer to home that either expected.
I did enjoy the book but found the sex scenes soooo long and way out of proportion to the book.

Wonderfully fun workplace romance

This is a great, well written, entertaining story. With a second-chance / workplace romance, character chemistry, brilliant banter, a private island, sabotage, twists, romance and love.

I really enjoyed reading this one as the banter between Mandi and Bishop is brilliant. Mandi runs into Bishop again several years after he ghosted her following a 3-month relationship, and they find the spark between them hasn't dimmed, having a one night stand with him leaving her again. A month later Mandi is hired to coordinate a hotel reopening event only to find the CEO is Bishop and he's now her boss.

Working together they find their chemistry is still strong and they can't stay away from each other. But discovering she's pregnant doesn't help Mandi while she also suspects someone is sabotaging the launch event they're planning.

I really got drawn into this read. Mandi and Bishop have amazing connection and chemistry. Bishop however, keeps walking away. He walks out on their relationship, he walks out after their one night stand. Then they end up working together where he’s her boss on an island. Where their chemistry and connection leads them back to familiar territory. Someone is trying to sabotage the event and Mandi begins looking for who it is trying to ruin things. Everything takes a turn when she finds out she is pregnant with Bishop’s twins. I feel like no one deserves this ending more than Mandi, she earned it.

Dry Humor and Wet Life

Great plot and well developed. Mandi and Bishops banter was wonderfully amusing and smooth. They are definitely one for the love annuls. The part where they are talking about baby names reminded me of our first discussions. Trying to get my husband to participate was like pulling teeth from a lion. My best pitch was “Euripides and we’ll call him Ripp for short”. That got his attention. When our son was born my husband announced his name. He gave him his name with Jr. If the scrubs he was wearing had buttons they would have popped off. I couldn’t bring myself to say, “That is not the name we agreed to”!

This is a Book in the Billionaire Ex Appeal Series by this author, and can be read as a standalone. It is an age gap, second chance romance between former lovers, Mandi and Bishop. These flawed but likeable characters and the unique plot makes for an interesting read. Once they reconnect, it is a love story with drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, suspense and intrigue, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters. Quite a page turner.
