All brokenhearted Sarah Bennett needed was a new room mate. She wasn't expecting sexy Ethan Collier to turn up at her door and take the room. She also didn't expect to find herself falling for him so quickly.
Ethan Collier is running from his dark past. Taking a room in the same apartment as the sweet innocent Sarah will help him do just that. Except that she's hard to resist.
Just as things heat up between them, Ethan's past comes smashing firmly back into his present and threatens to drag them both down.
Ugh. I really had a hard time with this and I wished I read more reviews before borrowing it on Kindle Unlimited.
In a nutshell, Sarah needs a roommate and Ethan answers the ad. Sarah's just broken up with a long time Bf and she's in love limbo. She's got a slutty friend Lauren, who ads the most color to this, because Sarah is more reserved and only wants to sleep with men if she's in a relationship with them. And that's fine, but there's nothing interesting about Sarah except that she agreed to let Ethan move in just because he's hot.
Ethan's got a sordid past; a former MC member, he went to jail for armed robbery when he was younger. He now works construction and seems to really care about Sarah, but then his past comes back to bite him. He's much more interesting, but since this is told from Sarah's POV, we get nuthin'.
This is a 3 book series and if I didn't read the complete series at one time, I would have given up after book 1. I found Ethan to be sad, not sexy and Sarah to be whiny and naive.
Sarah puts out a roommate ad after her only relationship of 5yrs ends...enter construction worker Ethan. Not only is he an ex biker, he's also an ex con. Then his past comes back to haunt them. It's a story of bad boy meets good girl...but in all honesty, he wasn't so bad, and she has to be the most gullible, naive, and dare I say, simple character ever. It's written in her pov, (his would've been beneficial and welcome), it didn't indicate how old she was but it was like reading the penmanship from a young teenager. Plenty of sex scenes but felt no chemistry. Had great potential but fell short. Found it free.
