Maid in Training is a fictional story from the mind of Vickie Scott and all characters as well as the story line of course do not exist in the real world. This 42,000 plus word story from the pen of Vickie Scott is about an author that takes a commission that she is finding hard to fulfil. With the help of her fiancée Kate agrees to use him in role play to find a way to start this work only to discover just before they start that he is cheating on her. Very soon Terry begins to wonder just how much is play and what is real as he is led through one situation after another. Kate uses strict chastity, bondage and cross dressing as she takes him on a ride into the unknown. This is a fun adult story and should not be read by anyone under the age of 18. We begin with a bound Terry. He has offered to submit to Kate, so that she can get over her writers’ block. She has been commissioned to write a series of really good BDSM stories. Unfortunately for Terry, Kate has discovered his infidelity.
Terry’s kink is the occasional cross-dress bondage fantasy and Kate has been playing along with that once every other week or so. Kate’s kink is rigging rope bondage and Terry has found that she is very good at it.
Zoe discovers Terry and admires the way Kate has him bound. Kinky, herself, she decides to take Terry in tow and take him to her apartment for more study. The isolation hood Kate locked on is a problem, as Terry cannot answer the questions she has about who bound him thus.
So Zoe places Terry on her mat in her playroom and, lifting his legs up, ties him in a hogtie to keep him secure. Since Imp does not have the key, they resort to a bolt-cutter. After all, they do have their own padlock. With Imp taking notes, Zoe has Terry recount how he got into the bondage.
It seems a romantic idea for Zoe to speak to Kate and reconcile the two lovers so, after hoisting Terry up, she has Imp prepare Terry while she tries to contact Terry’s fiancée. Kate will re-gag and hood Terry and play while Zoe has coffee with Kate.
Coffee with Kate is a discussion of male chastity devices and how Terry might be made useful through the use of one. Zoe suggests that Terry might be willing—at first—because of his protestations of love for Kate. We learn that Zoe has been dealing with male submissives for quite some time and has all the equipment in her apartment that one might need for their care.
The next two days places Terry into chastity and educated as to his status. Kate demonstrates her rope rigging to Zoe and we discover Terry’s cross-dressing fetish, complete with suitable clothing for a maid. Terry’s name changes to Michelle and Kate leaves to get things sorted. The author makes certain that the reader understands that, despite Terry’s protestations and the speed of his transformation, everything is consensual.
At about halfway through the book, the author does some character development. Kate is a wealthy writer. Terry is a chef at a failing restaurant. Despite the fact that Zoe seems much further along than Kate in dominating men, Kate has a lockable room, completely kitted out for slave discipline and storage when Terry, now Michelle, arrives. Additionally, a cellar playroom is mentioned. This makes me wonder how it is that Kate, who knows the intricacies of Japanese bondage better than an ardent practitioner like Zoe knows nothing about chastity devices. Additionally, rather than the occasional frock, Terry had a complete wardrobe of fetishistic clothing for cross-dressing, including a corset tight enough for discomfort if tight-laced and a complete French maid’s outfit that could be locked on with lockable footwear. It seems to me that both Kate and Terry are serious D/s enthusiasts and, yet, they have to be coached. The book was published in 2015, perhaps when the author was just starting out and before she had started thinking through logical character development.
The author now refers to Terry as Michelle, using the female pronouns. Kate increases the use of restrictive garments, catering to Michelle’s fantasies and proving that reality is not quite the same. Kate’s agenda is to use ever more restrictive bondage and frustration to break down the barriers in Michelle’s mind and make her more compliant.
Michelle is introduced to Kate’s sister, Sadie.
The ending wraps things up and offers space for a sequel but the organization of this story leaves a lot to be desired. Typical of this author’s work, this story is a good one with premise and plot that are well-worked out.
