Reclamation: That's Not My Baby

Rate this book
Club Reclamation isn't just any club. It's a haven for veterans from all branches of the military. Here, they can relax, share a meal, or simply find solace among those who understand their journey. If you've ever donned a uniform in service to your country, Club Reclamation promises a friend who understands both your sacrifices and your stories. It's a place of second chances. Former SEAL Maximus Delgado finds himself in a situation no parent should ever face. He's summoned to the morgue to potentially identify a body—that of a young boy who bears a haunting resemblance to his four-year-old son, Kevin. With Detective Vargas and Brock by his side, Max confronts his worst nightmare. But just when despair threatens to consume him, Mercy intervenes, sending Max and his team on a desperate quest. Reports suggest his son is alive but suffering from a highly contagious disease. As Max races against time, he must also battle the shadows of doubt and opposition. With his beloved Tamara supporting him, the stakes have never been higher as he confronts the chilling mystery of the Lies in the Morgue. Tamara Gibbs, a successful real estate owner, sees the man behind the SEAL. She's willing to give Max a second chance at love, but she's cautious. She believes Kevin needs time to adjust, to know her without pressure. Max's impatience bubbles to the surface; he envisions a united family, free from the constraints of time and meddling relatives. Together, Max and Tamara navigate the complexities of love and trust as they build a future, a sentiment captured in the whispered words, "That's Not My Baby."

"Hello,I'm a self-proclaimed read-a-holic. I love most genres and would rather read than do most things. Stands to reason, that I'd have this inexplicable love affair with the written word!

Reading was the balm that soothed me during tough times as a single mother, working two jobs. As things leveled out, I found I enjoyed the places books took me, there was a certain solace learning about various times and cultures. When I began traveling, many of the places I visited felt like old friends. I could envision the characters from the books walking the cobbled streets, or running along the swift moving streams.

After twenty years of reading and collecting my favorite authors, I decided to indulge my passion for storytelling. I took classes, invested in seminars and sat nervously across the table from editors. It was a lengthy process, Finally, I got the courage to allow the market to judge my work. The market can be a brutal, but I think fair, mistress. Hard work is rewarded and appreciated. Slackers don't stand a chance. :-)."

A Great Read- BRAB ONLINE BOOK CLUB

I enjoyed this third installment in the Reclamation series with Max Delgado and his band of mercenaries. As expected their assignments if full of excitement, violence, sex and intrigue.

This installment focused primarily on Adele and the mystery of who wanted her dead. My disappointment stems from the cliffhanger, I thought this would be a conclusion but I also look forward to reading other episodes.

A Fitting Ending

The conclusion for now is fitting. Love that Max is such an honorable man, but he needs to not forget his true prize, Kevin and Tamara.
This story had it all, action, intrigue, betrayal, sex and love.
I'd like to learn more about Sergei and Brock. I hope future books have them as the primary character.

As a man of honor, Max Delgado always keeps his promises. When the widow of his deceased teammate is violently attacked, Max will do whatever in his power to keep her safe. Max and his ex-military teammates are determined to hunt down and eliminate the threat before it could end her and her unborn child’s lives. To add more fuel to the fire, Max and Tamara are at odds because he wants to move their relationship to the next level, whereas, Tamara wants to take things slowly until his son, Kevin, can get to know her.

Will Max be able to keep his promise? And, more importantly, after enduring the glitches in their whirlwind courtship, will Max and Tamara’s relationship survive this new obstacle?

I have thoroughly enjoyed Erosa Knowles’ Reclamation series. She is such a great storyteller. I was hooked from the first book, Murder At The Beach. With each book my love of these characters and their story never diminished. The latest book, That’s Not My Baby is a dramatic conclusion to a spectacular plot surrounding the dealings of Max’s son’s kidnapping. All the pervious happenings come full circle and every intriguing question is answered. My most favorite part of That’s Not My Baby is the relationship between Max and Tamara throughout the progression of the series. Watching the development of their intimate connection during the challenging events made the series just that much more enjoyable. It was a nice change to see a couple building a lasting bond through the many trials and tribulations Max and Tamara had to overcome. Lastly, fresh tidbits were released to pique the readers interest for possible future stories in the Reclamation series and I am looking forward to more upcoming Reclamation reads.

Note: The Reclamation series is meant to be read in chronological order.

Ms. Knowles has done it again! This third installment in the Reclamation series blew even the first two out of the box. While most books in a series create new love couples in each book, this series is following one couple and their family. It is showing the development of the relationship between Max and Tamara and how that relationship exist and thrives in the midst of all else going on. I would though love to see Brock, or one of the other family members, find love. They all seem to be such great people. To see the story of Adele and her baby to conclusion was good. Now I can't wait to see what they get in to next.

Great Read!

Another awesome read by Erosa! There was a lot going on in this book, but not too much that you couldn't keep up, because you could. I just Love how far Max and Tamara have come. I would love to see their relationship grow even more. Since Max's son Kevin doesn't have any interferences from Terri the aunt, I see Kevin is getting better with Tamara. I think everyone who reads this book will Love it, but I recommend they start from book one to get the background on people in this book. This is a great read that I will recommend to other readers.

Okay Me n Max...Max max max...

Max is a real sweat heart, his whole team us, his woman etc, etc, etc, they are so sweet, they kinda of hot there asses handed to them a time of two, bug I still liked it abc can't wait until the next installment, I didn't like all the excess love that Adele got after the way she treated them all, however I like the way hey all stepped up yo care for her especially Charlene, and I joke Adele knows no one loves her like god people in Reclamation, not even Maria, so again lived the crew can't wait.
