When I agreed to have lunch with my old friend, I didn't expect to be absconded by an angel, Anak.
He isn't the charming type either. He's more of a monstrous ass than a cherub.

This is very short, more a vignette than a novella.
Human Charlotte is kidnapped by angel Anak to be his personal assistant while he competes in the Monster Games (snowboarder!). He’s arrogant, rude and takes what he wants. He can also smell her purity and finds it delightful.
I don’t always like Anak, but would definitely smash. He buys her a shirt that says Powder My Tits, his wings have eyes and his peen has rings. Also, maybe there’s some fated mates action?

I'm not usually the type for sports romance, but this combination of sports and paranormal romance was an amazing idea. This entire series has a fascinating premise that I haven't seen before.
Sadly, this book did not live up to my expectations. From the very beginning, Anak gave me the ick, and I kept hoping he'd redeem himself in my eyes, but that did not end up happening. I like my MMCs a little cocky, but Anak took it to the next level. I mean: "I like that you're a virgin," just ew. And to tell that to Charlotte within 20 minutes of her knowing him.
Charlotte herself, though, is a whole another story. She is such a passive character, it almost hurt. Her friend basically forces a random assistant job that she has no qualifications for on her? No problem. The dude she's supposed to work for sprouts wings, and proceeds to kidnap her? Well, I guess he just really wanted her to work for him. He then proceeds to mock her and be an asshole to her, and yet she still thinks things like: "Someone as perfect as Anak wouldn't like me."
Despite the fact that it's a pretty short novella, the plot is pretty structured. As expected, character development is practically nonexistent, but the novella is only 8k words, so I don't hold that against the author.
Overall, this book disappointed me, as I loved all the other ones in the series I've read so far. Thank you to the author for the eARC!

This was a very short novella, but it still managed to be a lot of fun which is the best part!! Our MMC had wings with eyes (picture biblically accurate angels) and whilst that sounds like it would be creepy to have all those eyes staring at you, I still think he sounds incredibly sexy 🤤 Yes I have issues. No we don’t need to get into them here.
As this was so short, I don’t want to risk spoiling anything. But the way these two meet and come to be in a hotel together was so funny and I loved it 😂 I wish we could have even more of this story because I think the banter and relationship would have been even better with more time.
Definitely a blast to read!!!

Very short read but oh good heavens was it spicy and very detailed. Even short there was touch of plot and enough of those details so it just wasn't straight smut. Only wish there was more !!! Felt like it had ended abruptly. Lastly I received this as an arc and am under no obligation to leave this review.

a biblically accurate angel?! Well according to this MMC the bible is modeled after them! This story was both sweet and spicy! I loved how the FMC did not put up with the MMCs shit and he was a big jerk to everybody including her but he softened up to her
