My husband proudly served in the military, which is a big reason I gravitate toward military and elite-operative heroes. I’ve always had an overactive imagination, but he was the one who finally pushed me to turn those daydreams into books. Once I started, I never looked back.
Building characters, creating worlds, and diving into their stories is my favorite part of the process. Whether I’m writing an intense mission in the desert or a slow, steamy burn in a small town, I want every romance to feel rich, lived-in, and worth the ride.
When I’m not writing, you can usually find me with a chai latte in hand, riding horses, or daydreaming about new story ideas. I’ve lived by the ocean, in the desert, and up in the mountains, and each place sneaks into my books one way or another. And for reasons I can’t explain, even though I love the ocean, whales absolutely terrify me. Love them from a distance. A very long distance.
I write with humor, heat, and a soft spot for protective heroes who fall hard and love even harder. If that’s your kind of romance, you’re in the right place.

This was such a fantastic read. Enthralling and intense from start to finish. Every aspect about this came together to make a truly interesting romantic suspense.
The characters were so vibrantly written. Rachel is an amazing FMC for the story. She was solid, brave, intelligent, and she held her own as a character against the MMC, Ghost/Logan, as well as the plot itself. She had a great backstory that made every decision made in this book feel authentic to the character. But even with the background, we didn't spend a lot of time lingering on it. As for Ghost, he was just as well written of a character. The two were similar enough that the romance felt real regardless of how fast it moved, and it did move fast. The MCs were getting physical around the 30% mark and were fully intimate before 50%. It didn't feel too fast though, so that's important to note. I I appreciated how well the relationship dynamics were written. The chemistry was palpable from the start but it started off pretty muted and grew as the story progressed.
The suspense plot had great pacing and kept the tension ratcheted up throughout. There wasn't much of a mystery through this. The villains were outed fairly early on, but the knowing who doesn't really help with the anxiety of not knowing the when. It was all done very well.
My only real issue with this is that the book is almost 500 pages, and at times it felt like that. It's a personal gripe I'm sure, but some of the spice scenes felt incongruous with what was going on around the characters. Honestly, the scene in the bathroom really pulled me out because what do you mean we're doing this right now?? Also, some of the dialogue felt just a bit stilted. It wasn't out of place; it just didn't flow well. Overall though, I loved this. I love the characters and their relationship. The plot was nigh on perfect. I'm avidly looking forward to the next book in the series for sure.

Gripping, intense, and impossible to put down
Ghost completely pulled me in from the first chapter. This story blends high-stakes military suspense with a deeply emotional romance that kept me hooked the entire time. Logan “Ghost” Hayes is exactly the kind of hero I love reading about—disciplined, lethal, and emotionally guarded, yet fiercely protective once someone manages to break through his walls. Watching his dynamic with Rachel develop was one of the best parts of the book.
Rachel is a fantastic heroine. She’s brave, intelligent, and refuses to back down even when she’s completely out of her element embedded with a SEAL team. Her determination and willingness to challenge Ghost made their chemistry feel authentic and electric. The tension between them, both from the danger surrounding them and their growing connection, made every chapter feel intense.
The action scenes are gripping and cinematic, and the stakes feel real from start to finish. I loved how the story transitions from a war zone to a different kind of danger back home, keeping the suspense high throughout the entire book. The protective element, emotional vulnerability, and slow unraveling of Ghost’s guarded nature made this romance especially satisfying.
If you enjoy military romance with strong characters, thrilling danger, and a protective hero who will do anything for the woman he cares about, this book is absolutely worth reading.
