"Nick Ryan knows his craft, and his topic. His World War 3 stories are tightly-written, fast-moving, with great characters."
- LARRY BOND
Co-author of Tom Clancy's 'Red Storm Rising' and New York Times bestselling author of 'Red Phoenix'.

The Allied retreat has reached the Oder River.
Russian forces have driven across Poland and now stand at the Oder River. The Allies, battered and retreating, have formed a fragile defensive line along the western bank. Beyond it lies Berlin.
If the line collapses, the road to the German capital will lie open.

As Russian artillery and air power pound NATO positions, High Command prepares a decisive strike against the center of the Allied perimeter - targeting the sector around the small German town of Bad Freienwalde.

Into this desperate moment arrives the American 4th Infantry Division - newly deployed, untested in this war, and thrown directly into the path of a massed Russian assault.
Outnumbered. Outgunned. Unproven.

The Russian plan is shatter the center, split the alliance, and seize Berlin.
Standing in the way are men who have yet to fire a shot in anger.
They are not expected to hold.
But the fate of Germany - and the survival of NATO - may depend on them doing exactly that.

Breaking Point is a fast-paced World War 3 technothriller of defensive warfare, massed armor, and infantry fighting under relentless pressure - a ground-level account of how modern war is decided when retreat is no longer an option.
