Take a Chance #2

Just Perfect

Rate this book
Being in love with two people is tricky. When they’re your married best friends, it’s even trickier.

Liam Taylor is accustomed to third wheeling with his best friends. He was their forever plus one. He was the best man in their wedding and was invited on every vacation and to every holiday.

He wasn’t expecting to continue the tradition on what was supposed to be a couple’s vacation. But when his girlfriend dumps him while at the airport, he still gets on the plane.

Without a date, he wasn’t looking forward to sharing an adjoining room, listening to his best friends enjoy all the perks of being happily married…while fantasizing about what it would be like to be in between them.

Palmer Morgan and Easton Winters are disgustingly happy. After ten years together and five years married, they don’t want for anything. Except maybe for their best friend.

Surprised when he shows up alone, they finally find the courage to express their true feelings. And with it comes the realization that maybe he was already theirs.

It’s just a matter of convincing him that it isn’t a vacation fling but a forever-type thing.

A series of interconnected standalones that may be read on their own.

Thanks to Grace Turner for the ARC read.

This was such a steamy & sensuous novella. I absolutely loved it. It moves quickly, but handles a lot of big theme curves (like opening your marriage, biesexuality, friends to lovers etc) gracefully.
Her other book on polyamory - Unexpected - is one of my favorites for this trope and this one feels similar but also different.

Palmer, Easton and Liam. Palmer and Easton have been married forever, Liam is the forever third wheel. There's shared history amongst all 3 of them but it's this vacation that sets wheels in motion for them to become more.

Non controversial, non dramatic - just 3 people loving on each other. I loved it.

Exactly what I needed to read. I was in the mood for something light-with just the right amount of emotional depth to keep me interested, this established couple/friends to lovers certainly delivered. Added bonus how hot and sexy this book is.

Palmer and Easton have been married forever while Liam has been their forever third wheel. When a couples vacation becomes a three-person getaway, the shared history between the three friends sets the wheels in motion in the backdrop of the snowy mountains.

After a streak of romances with long page counts, this novella is exactly what I needed. Something light with a fair amount of spice and emotional depth for me to cheer for this throuple. Big theme tropes such as opening your marriage, bisexuality, friends to lovers are handled with grace in the confines of the novella. I thoroughly enjoyed Unforgettable, Grace Turner's previous polyamorous novel, that I knew this book and its characters would be treated with such love and care.

No drama or misunderstandings. Just love. A perfect romantic novella about three people loving one another.

Thank you, Grace Turner, for the ARC copy of this novel!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Just Perfect may be a novella, but it delivered all the feels in such a small package.

The chemistry, the connection, the moments that made me pause and smile?? I was hooked immediately.

My only complaint? I wasn’t ready to let them go.

I needed more pages, more moments, more of them.

Just Perfect takes you on a steamy, short ride between three friends, two of them are married and want to open their relationship to the third one. It was spicy, I wish we had some MFM scenes, but overall, it was as the title says, Just Perfect.
