'Moth' is a duet dark, stalker, supernatural rom com novel. Eleanor is a talented painter who channels the trauma of her past into her art. A survivor of domestic abuse, she has long struggled with sleepless nights, C-PTSD, and crippling sleep paralysis. In her waking hours, she tries to dismiss these as symptoms of stress, but she is pulled deeper into this nightmare when the shadowy figure that haunts her peripheral takes on a seductive, lethal form.
Moth My girl is the most breathtaking little flame. Although we’ve met countless times, she has never seen my face, but I’ve traced hers in the dark for years. I’m done with waiting and watching from the shadows. I need her to know she belongs to me and only me. My girl draws darkness to her. Every monster, every creep, every little piece of chaos out there sees her as a beacon in the shadows. They want to own her and take her light. But I will burn everything to ash before I let go of what’s mine.
Flame I’m no stranger to terrible decisions, but I think this one may just take the biscuit. I called into the void, and it whispered back promises of safety and protection, if I just let them have me. Now a haunting shadow is stalking me, hunting me and won’t stop until he claims me. Consumed by a singular, unyielding desire to take me for himself. His world is brutal and escaping his possessive hold may be impossible.
This booked gripped me by the back of my neck ( in a steamy way) and kept me completed engaged throughout.
I love dark romance done correctly, And this was dark and hot hot , and surprisingly quite sweet at times. My perfect combination.
Eleanor is a stubborn tough cookie, but not in a 'because I can be' type of way. In a strong, mental determination kind of way. Her relationship with her 'Best of the Breasts' (a term I'm using on the daily from here on out ) and with her brother is believable and healthy.
But along with this is her humour, her resilience and her acknowledging a long list of red flags but using them to get what she wants after a lifetime of abuse. When her stalker, the ever looming shadow she spies so often. announces himself to her, things take an even darker turn in Eleanor's stressful life.
If my sleep paralysis demon had shadow tattoos and a Hoodie I wouldn't have been so petrified. Maybe .
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to the authors next book. The writing was engaging and characters well developed. The plot was an unique read for me personally and I devoured it within 24 hours.
This book came highly recommended by a Freind let’s just say she’s a persistent thing! She raved about this book and it doesn’t disappoint. Ellie is a mess of a girl fixed in world that was to cruel to her she calls to “the monster in her closet” Moth is nameless… part of a void in the world where dark and tormented things happen to mortals, that is where they go when life just doesn’t go the way you want and you want to end it all! A sleep paralysis demon falls in love with a meek human, who would have thought. This book would have never been on my radar.. so flipping good! Be warned this book is HOT, cold showers are needed, tissues on standby. It’s heavy, sweet and downright spicy! Read the triggers not for the faint at heart! ❤️
I binged "Moth" in 2 days. Theo Moss has a beautifully addictive writing style and a captivating & unique storyline. Her characters are also very unique and fascinating. The FMC is vulnerable, yet so strong and resilient. The MMC is like no other I've encountered in the vast number of books I've consumed. This story has hurt/comfort mastered. You'll experience drama, humor, fantasy, spice, and romance while enthralled in this book.
That was hot. This book is full of spice, I'd say over 50%. The story is very fast paced and is a HEA. Its a dark, stalker supernatural rom com with some pretty dark themes and over 50 trigger warning. I chewed through this book so fast and I wish I could already read it again for the first time.
