Fran goes on a hunt for the slavers in a town of outlaws. Fighting isn't really an option, so she tries asking nicely, which goes as well as you would expect. To make matters worse, it is not just politics and the threat of outside invasion by the antibodies that pose a problem, something odd is going on. Luckily Fran is not without friends.
Found it to be an interesting plot with enjoyable characters even if the main villain is a tad over the top, but it fits the series in general. Decent pacing with lots of over-the-top anime action near the end. The ending was a bit of a deus ex machina even if it made for some solid scenes giving Fran something to work towards.
All in all, I found it a fun popcorn read that fitted expectations.
