King's Command #3

Southern Heat

Rate this book
By the King’s Command...

Diego de la Vega is quite pleased with the king’s command to mate the dragon leader, Xavier Rodriquez. The man’s strength and bravery in battle were legendary, as were the scars that marred his massive body. But there is a vast distance between admiration and love, and despite Diego’s efforts, he’s not sure the two of them can find a middle ground.

Xavier Rodriquez is a man used to the rigors of battle and being alone to lick his wounds. Experience has taught him that the scars littering his body would disgust even the most indiscriminant of lovers. When Diego says he sees them as symbols of valor, Xavier is skeptical, growing even more so when Diego’s gorgeous ex- lover appears, claiming to want Diego back.

Trust is not an easy thing and neither is accepting a mate with all their faults. Stubbornness and the need to protect their hearts might be more dangerous to their mating than the mysterious foe bent on stealing their territory, and maybe even their lives.

About Me
I believes the only thing sexier than a man in cowboy boots is two, or three men in cowboy boots. I also believes in love at first sight, soul mates, true love, and happy endings.

I live in the great Northwest region of the USA, with my gorgeous husband and soul mate, two boxer/collie puppies, one old biddy cats, and three fish. When I'm not being a mother to my six teenagers or cleaning up after my two 70 pound lap puppies, you can usually find me cuddled in bed with a book in my hand and a puppy in my lap. Or on my laptop, creating the next sexy man for one of my stories.

Best book of the series by far, I was hooked by page one. I don't want to say to much and give the story away so I'll just say it's a must read for this author. Even though this book is a part of a series you do not have to read it in order (except for the last one, that must be read at the end of the series or you miss some things)

Dragon, human gay romance

As done in the two previous books, the king forces the bonding of a human and a dragon from neighboring territories. Of course they fall in love, face danger and work together to defeat their enemies. It was not a smooth mating but when they got it finally together, it was successful and the book ends with the human pregnant.

Diego the leader of the human clan and Xavier the dragon lord are mated by their King in order to protect the Southern Border of his kingdom, in this third installment in the series. I liked this book so much more than the second book, as the characters are likeable, and both are warriors and act like it. Diego is more than capable to run the keep, even without the protection of Xavier. I also like the underlying theme of the book, that you should look at your mate's heart and not at his scarred body. It was a nice, easy, short read.

Southern Heat

I just loved this story. These two had fallen in love with each so hard and deep. Xavier and Diego were mated by their king who has an uncanny knack for finding the perfect mates for his people both human and dragon. Xavier and Diego up some problems come that got resolved with some personnel losses. But they came out stronger in their love and mating for it. I can not wait for the next book in this series. Erin

I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first two. But,regardless it was entertaining enough that I still enjoyed it. After reading 3 very intense and dark mystery novels I needed something that was light, predictable, and more important simplistic in its characters and story one that had its HEA. These are my go back to books after a long hard day

, I really like this series. It's interesting that this book had characters with Latin names and they spoke Spanish at times when in the first 2 books the characters were other ethnicities. Maybe changing ethnicity is a theme in each book. But they are all dragons so I guess that's the unifying theme.
