In a world where realms teeter towards darkness, twenty-one-year-old Birdie is an outcast. Marked by flaming hair and eyes that don't belong, she's endured years of persecution—until the Climb changes everything.
The brutal trial that determines every young adult's place in society becomes a fight for survival when Birdie discovers the mountain holds more than ancient traditions.
Dragons once soared these skies. Demons hunger in the shadows. And the Fae who rule from within the mountain are trapped by a curse that threatens to destroy everything.
When a mysterious warrior saves her life, Birdie finds herself drawn into a world of magic she never knew existed.
Fennec is dangerous, powerful, but their connection runs deeper than attraction. As matching marks appear on their skin and power flows between them, Birdie realizes their bond might be the key to an ancient prophecy.
But prophecies come with a price.
Birdie must embrace powers she doesn't understand to save the people she loves. Even if it means losing the one person who makes her feel whole.
Some destinies can't be escaped. Some loves transcend realms. And some flames burn bright enough to light the way through
I was one of the lucky few chosen to receive an ARC copy of ‘The Flame of Lasair’ from the very talented @authorslivandlia
The book is due for release on the 21st April so you haven’t got long to wait.
When I tell you I was all in, I was all in! From the very beginning. Did I want to immediately befriend and support the FMC Birdie…OBVIOUSLY, almost as much as I wanted the MMC Fen to be all broody and possessive over me 🤣
The character development throughout the book was written really well. You felt part of Birdies journey, evolving from the this shy, horribly bullied and almost solitary young woman into this fiercely strong, brave and generally bad ass warrior!! I found myself almost shouting out loud “go on Birdie” several times
I also really appreciated the deeper layers within the story. Liv and Lia give us amazing hints at the backstories, especially around Birdies Mother (say no more) and the Ancient Fae 👀 This helped to add more intrigue, please tell me they’ll be a lot more of this in book two?!!!
There’s a little side dish of spice offered by way of the occasional smutty scene between Birdie and Fen, which is always welcomed. The scenes are written well and nothing too much if you’re not into spice.
As for THAT ending!! WHY do that to us 😩 The cliffhanger has me slightly stressed and desperate to know what happens next.
The Flame of Lasair is fast paced, easy to read and if you haven’t read a lot of Romatasy before, it’s the perfect way to dip your toe into new waters.
Liv and Lia, thank you for choosing me to be an ARC reader, you’ve done an incredible job and should be so proud of yourselves.
I read this book….(in the words of Birdie) “not because I had to. But because I could not do otherwise”.
I loved the strength and resilience of the FMC, Birdie. Her character develops from shy and reclusive to a brave warrior who is fiercely loyal to the friends she has gained through her journey. The relationship between her and Fen was just the right amount of slow burn where the readers could feel the chemistry and ‘touch her a die’ vibes (who doesn’t love a brooding possessive strong MMC).
I was invested in the other characters survival and there were snippets of the character’s backstories including Birdie’s mother’s death, and the Ancient Fae’s history, which I hope we get more of in the second book. The ending was left on a cliffhanger which makes me impatient and excited to find out what happens next.
Tropes include 🐉 Dragon lord 🧑🧑🧒🧒 Found family 🖤 Slow burn 1️⃣ Chosen one 💔 Fated mates

When you reach a certain age you have to do the climb….this is a deadly trial and it’s to test you to see if you’ve got what it takes. We have beautiful found family, Slow Burn, fated mates, dragons, magic, chosen one, and heartbreak. The ending makes you want to dive straight into book 2
Received an ARC from the author - thank you for sharing this with me!
Overall, I enjoyed this book and would definitely read the next one, especially with the ending being left on a cliffhanger.
Birdie was a good FMC, but we are missing so much of her backstory that I feel is being saved for book 2. She’s loyal, thoughtful of others and quite clearly wants to be the leader of her own destiny & is taking steps towards that, but that ancient power inside of her is not explained fully yet. This is something I felt we could have had more sprinkled in along the way to give her more depth.
Fennec as an MMC gives all of the ‘will burn the world for her vibes’ and it was quite refreshing that they just had that instant connection and that was that. I felt like we had more of his story than Birdies so could understand his POV in relation to the books events a lot easier.
The supporting cast of Yin, Luthein (who totally want each other), Roman, Asha and to an extent Boe, Leif & Tora all tie into a nice theme of chosen family which during the training & trials they go through, is a welcome motif.
The climb of the mountain felt hurried in relation to them entering the fae realm so I didn’t feel that sense of trial/danger that I think was meant to be portrayed. No other characters were really introduced so the deaths surrounding that don’t have much impact. The meat definitely comes into it in the mid section.
Luthein is an interesting character who we have more to learn from. His backstory feels important and he is 100% guarding secrets that need to be shared.
Kingsley is a pain in the arse, and a good ‘villain’ but him still being chosen and marked makes me think there is a redemption somewhere. His relationship with his dad is shown in one brief conversation where Birdie should be eliminated but it’s never really mentioned again so we need a bit more around that. He doesn’t feel like a big enough threat if he is meant to be the main antagonist within the walls of the temple.
Obviously there are other dark forces at play with the demons etc. but the descendants aren’t warned or given enough information about them to feel as threatening as I think they are meant to be. You simply accept they are demons so you know it’s bad when they arrived (they do have good descriptions of what they look like).
Throughout the book we have some good world building once inside the temple, but nothing outside of that- again I feel this is being reserved for book 2. There are some beautiful imagery within the descriptions & I could see strong relationship links especially between Fennec, Asha and Roman.
Little sprite, Fen, she’s mine Ash, she is mine and doesn’t know it yet all satisfies the fantasy girly in me to get giddy over a fantasy couple but we still need that depth for them. What are these ancient ties and powers that bring them together? Who are they to each other really? Why are they suddenly stronger apart? What sacrifice did Fennec need to make that he didn’t tell Birdie about?
The Flame of Lasair is an enjoyable read, enjoyable characters, a good rooting in a fantasy setting that has a lot of potential. Bring on book 2!

Thank you to the authors for sharing their work before publishing, unfortunately I won't be able to write a glowing review about The Flame of Lasair. I would advise to push the publishing date a little bit and work on this fantasy world more.
I DNF'd at 50%.
First things first - the name of the FMC, Birdie..... no. it doesn't fit at all. When the MMC is named Fennec why, oh why are you naming the heroine something so underwhelming?
Then the lack of information was driving me crazy. Birdie had loads of inner monologue but none of it mentioned why do people need to climb that mountain? without any gear? why were people attacking each other while climbing? But let's backpedal a little bit.... no explanation on who is Birdie, what kind of settlement is she living in, what is her place in it? Family? Talked about in passing. She had a bully, but why? How long? What happened between them?
I don't want to get into more details, because it would spoil everything.
Next: conversations. Yin and Birdie having a conversation feels like when toddlers talking to each other - they chatter and don't care about what the other has to say. No connection between them. It would look like this: Yin: I have read a lot about demons. Birdie: Demons? That's scary. But hey, let's go, we need to reach the gates.
Fennec started good, there were small morsel of info about what kind of fantasy world are we in. He had decent amount of inner thoughts and some short but better convos. Then Birdie ruined everything, because she occupied his every waking moments. Birdie this, Birdie that. And their interactions were even worse. Nothing worthwhile happened between them. Fennec shed blood to save Birdie, Fennec was broody and controlled, but deep down you could suspect a gentle heart or something along that line.
Kingsley and Luthien had their own pov of course. Valuable information? None. Showing character? In your dreams.
The Plot - where? who? why? The younglings had to climb the mountain. I don't know how long was the journey; it wasn't very clear, and it happened on an eclipse, all was blurred, even the timeline. I felt that it was a day and a half to be honest. Then they reached an outpost, I guess, but that wasn't the summit!! Those who couldn't make through the gates, perished. The ones who got through got food, bath, sleeping quarters and turns out they will stay there and train. For what? Who knows, you just go along with whatever the Fae says.
I just gave up here. I thought I can push through, see to the end, but honestly, my TBR list is long enough to waste more time for a book I don't enjoy.
So, again, I strongly advise the authors to get some professional beta readers (if that's a thing) and shape this up, it could have been better.

2.5 Stars Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. I went into The Flame of Lasair really hoping for something that would stand out in the romantasy space, but unfortunately it fell into that same pattern I’ve been running into way too often lately. The bones of a good story are there, but it just never fully comes together. The biggest issue for me was how rushed everything felt, especially the romance. The MMC was instantly, completely obsessed, like “she’s mine” before they’d even had a real conversation. There was no build, no tension, no reason for that level of devotion, and it made the relationship hard to believe or connect with. I need a little emotional groundwork, not just immediate obsession and vibes. On top of that, the story itself felt underdeveloped. A lot of things were introduced but never properly explained, which left me confused more than intrigued. The characters, especially the group dynamic, came off immature at times, almost like middle school drama dropped into a high-stakes fantasy setting. It pulled me out of the story more than once. And this is where I’m starting to struggle with a lot of books in this genre lately, there still has to be a story. There has to be a plot. There has to be solid writing. It can’t just be sex, instant head over heels obsession, and then toss in a dragon or two and call it romantasy. That formula only works if there’s actual substance underneath it, and here it just felt a little too thin. There is potential here, and I can see what the author was going for, but it needed more depth, more clarity, and a slower, more intentional build across the board. Right now, it just feels like another entry in an oversaturated trope-heavy space without enough substance to make it stand out. That said, I didn’t hate it, and I’d still be open to seeing how the series develops. I just really need the next book to bring more structure, stronger character development, and an actual emotional payoff.
I wanted to enjoy this book going into it. An intriguing premise outlined within the synopsis, I was ready for a harrowing journey with Birdie as she undertakes the Climb. Instead, it was instant romance (because of ancient magic), pieces of world-building threads, and a more tell-than-show storytelling.
The premise initially sets up a vague prophecy involving the Fae and a Climb that every youngling must undertake to reach them. I went in believing the majority of the first book was going to set this all up with the Climb being a long, harrowing obstacle for the main character Birdie to overcome. The Climb itself features in roughly 10% with a majority taking place in the goal location on the mountain with training montages, instant romance talks and sex, and a certain character being a menace to others.
I couldn't connect very well to the characters once Birdie was past the Climb portion. She was set up to be mysterious and an outcast but still one of the good-hearted main characters many YA books feature. However the confusing reveals about her later on have no strong basis and seemed to lean into "fated one" territory. The main romance Fennec instantly has a unbelievably feral "mine" feeling about Birdie from first sight, and I couldn't really get behind the romance because of it.
Finally, a lot of the story felt like it was written in tell, not show fashion. Things were explained in exposition dumps and some scenes regarded as important are told from both characters' points of view. I felt like I could skip along reading mainly the dialogue and a few sentences here and there and continue to understand the gist of the plot (minus elements of world-building that are introduced or hinted at then never really explained for readers to understand).
I wish I had been able to enjoy this story more, but many elements just didn't do it for me.
Thank you to NetGalley, the authors/the publisher Liv and Lia Publishing for allowing me an eARC to read and review.
*I read this book as an ARC Reader exchanging an early read for a review but I try to give my most honest opinions*
✹☽ synopsis ✹☽ Birdie must participate in a brutal Climb like every 21 year old to determine her place in society. While climbing, Fennec saves her life and their fates intertwine. Once she makes it to the cursed Fae’s realm on the mountain, she learns secrets that would destroy her world and must train and find her power to fight the curse.
✹☽ spice level 🌶️ 🌶️ This indie read has light spice levels with a few slightly smutty scenes between Birdie and Fennec.
✹☽ obsessing over ✹☽ The book was fast-paced from the beginning to the end starting with the Climb. Birdie is a strong protagonist, gaining skills through the novel. The scenes move quickly and there is a lot at stake for the fae.
✹☽ could’ve been better ✹☽ The tension. This is a love at first sight type of novel and doesn’t build on the tension enough. Fennec does some light stalking, although only to protect Birdie and I didn’t entirely dislike it. However, while there’s plenty of romance, I need parts of the plot to create sacrifice so the intensity and tension builds.
✹☽ character development ✹☽ Birdie is bullied throughout the novel and it creates an interesting character who must overcome her adversaries to come into her true power. She’s a misfit who I identified with because she starts out having to hide who she is, but she starts to find herself through the trials. Fennec could have used more development, as we are not entirely clear on his family and past history. However, the friendship between Birdie and Yin is beautiful and reminds me to give my best friend a call.
✹☽ world and story ✹☽ The fae’s realm of snowy mountains rings true throughout the novel and it makes me want to build a fire and snuggle into blankets while reading this.
I generally enjoyed The Flame of Lasair and had a great time getting to know Birdie & crew.
What I liked:
-Birdie and Fennec are great together and their chemistry is fun to watch unfold
-I like the side characters, especially Yin, Luthien, and even Kingsley
-The Climb and subsequent trials were interesting, as we watched the characters evolve and discover their powers as students
-I love fated mates and this was no exception. I saw some concepts saying their romance moves fast and generally this is often how we see fated mates who are fae. They fall fast and hard. That said, the book could’ve drawn it out more and been longer to allow for suspense and a slower burn
What I Would Change
-I need to know way more about the history/lore of the fae curse and motivations of Kingsley and Fen’s father
-Explain more about what happened with Kingsley and Fen’s mothers and their childhood
-I’d love to see more Yin x Luthien happening
-We hear a lot about dragon lords and dragons having been real. We see this concept of the Flame of Lasair. Yet we never meet a single dragon and it’s still unclear the full significance of the flame/how it may be connected with everyone’s power
-There were many mentions that something spoke to a character like it was old/ancient or they knew it somehow. This became repetitive/tiresome because it never got extrapolated on. We never got more details or reveals on why things felt instinctual or familiar, so it felt like a lost opportunity to create mystique
Overall this story was a fun introduction but I want to see a lot more world building, character development, and lore revealed in the next book. That would add needed substance to what is a solid beginning.
Thank you to Net Galley for the arc!

First, I wanna say thank you to the authors for the advanced copy of this book.
The premise of this book is really interesting and I do think I will finish this eventually, but I have found the pacing to be quite confusing and was often questioning what was going on in some places as it felt like one minute nothing was happening and then the next page there’s so much action but nothing’s being explained to you as a reader, you’re just thrown in. I also found that this makes it hard for me to connect to characters or gain any emotional ties to any characters because I don’t really know who they are at their core and haven’t had that crucial time to build a connection.
The romance aspect of it feels quite rushed and immature which is making it quite hard to read for me as there’s not really any slow burn, it’s kind of an instant attraction, that neither character understand why they feel that way, which some people I’m sure would enjoy but for myself I wish there was more of a buildup of the characters getting to know each other rather than an instant lust/connection.
As I said before, the storyline and the initial premise of the book I think could be more interesting to me if there was a bit more of a buildup and a bit more explanation into why certain things are happening and maybe that comes on later in the book but I’ve just found myself confused. I wish I was explained more in the beginning so that I had more of an idea of what I’m getting into.
Unfortunately have DNFed at 55% for now as I am just not able to fully immerse myself in this book and truly enjoy it.
"There isn't a version of this life or the next, this world or another, where I don't choose you."
The Flame of Lasair pulled me in from the very first pages with its emotionally driven story and compelling characters.
Birdie is such a strong and relatable protagonist, empathetic, deeply connected to nature, and incredibly resilient. Watching her navigate a world that has always treated her as an outcast was both heartbreaking and inspiring. Her strength lies in her determination and her ability to keep going despite everything, which makes her feel very real.
And then there’s Kaz… honestly, where can I order one for myself? A man who yearns, falls first and harder? Absolute perfection. He’s protective, passionate, and endlessly supportive without ever overshadowing Birdie. Their connection feels intense and meaningful. I LOVE THEM.
The story is engaging and full of adventure, and I really loved the other characters as well. They added so much to the experience.
I can’t wait for the second book!

Thank you very much for the opportunity to read this book in advance—it was truly an engaging and rewarding experience for me. ❤️
For me, one of the highlights of the book was the balance between action and quieter, introspective moments. I loved how the story allowed space to reflect on the characters’ inner struggles while still maintaining a strong sense of momentum. I really connected with the protagonist and their personal journey.
The relationships between the characters stood out to me as well. I felt they were developed in a believable and emotionally engaging way. The romantic storyline, for me, was especially appealing because it felt natural and well-paced. I liked that it wasn’t overwhelming or forced, but instead grew gradually and added an extra emotional layer to the story. It felt genuine and meaningful, which made it easy for me to connect with.
The settings felt vivid and almost tangible, which made the whole reading experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, this was a story that stayed with me after I finished it, and I would definitely suggest giving it a read. ❤️
Flame of Lasair leans beautifully into romantasy—where magic, emotion, and connection are intertwined.
It unfolds with intention, revealing itself piece by piece. There’s a strong thread of survival throughout—not just physical, but emotional… the kind shaped by struggle, by being pushed beyond limits and still choosing to keep going.
The discovery of power carries an intensity. It isn’t instant or effortless—it builds almost cautiously, and you feel that shift as it happens. Something is awakening, not fully understood yet, which adds to the tension.
And woven through it all is that soft romantasy pull—connection that lingers beneath the surface, never rushed, but always strongly present.
The adventure feels constant, but grounded. Every step forward feels earned, every moment carrying weight.
It’s a story of power, survival, and becoming… with just enough softness beneath it to stay with you.
The ending leaves you excited for what is to come next.
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was such a great fantasy romance read with plenty of adventure, tension, mystery and magic. I didn't want to put it down and did sneak in the occasional at work reading break. The writing style flowed so well as to make it easy to read and it was well paced enough that I didn't have to push through the first 20% to get to the good stuff.
The romance side of things was relatively fast paced and there was a hint of spice. I did like how the FMC didn't start out with all the usual skills and needed to be rescued. It was a little bit out of the norm to see an FMC that has such a huge amount to learn and allowed for lots of character growth throughout the bulk of the story.
It did end on a cliffhanger which means that I'm now impatiently going to have to wait for book 2 But it was a fab read and I look forward to finding out what happens next.
Overall, I enjoyed the first half of the book. The pacing felt just right. One thing that bothered me, though, was that the FMC is clearly stated to be 21, but her behaviour often felt closer to that of a 16-year-old. It’s a small thing, but noticeable while reading. Another thing I found a bit irritating was the frequent use of very short sentences. They work well during action scenes or for emphasis, but here it happened so often that it started to feel distracting. The romance felt more like a one-sided obsession to me, and I didn’t really feel the connection between the characters. In the second half of the book, I also found it harder to follow what exactly was happening at times.
Random thoughts: The pet name “little sprite” only made me think of the drink. I did really like the line: “My brother. My blood. And he’s about to become a stain.”
Conclusion: Overall, it was an easy read, although some events felt a bit cliché.
A change of pace for one of my favourite authors. I’ve not read a romantasy story for years, and was intrigued enough to give this one a read. I have to say that I did find the pacing a bit slow however, I feel that’s down to the usual shorter faster paced stories I’m used to reading. Being an older reader I often find younger characters harder to connect to. This read had a sort of strange dichotomy of age between the Fairies, and the chosen, that in a strange way just worked. I did enjoy the overall story, though I did hate it ended on a cliff hanger, as I avoid them if I can. One thing I would say about this story is that with a few relevant changes, it is a read that I know my granddaughter would definitely enjoy.
I received a review reader’s copy of the book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
“Another man would say he loves her. Another man would speak of hearts and flowers and sweet promises. But I’m not another man. I’m a weapon forged by cold blood and dark promises, and even so, some fragile, stubborn part of me knows I’d kneel for her, willingly, if she ever asked it of me.”
I wasn’t prepared for how much I enjoyed this book, it had me hooked from the very first page! After receiving an advanced copy I got straight to reading and could barely bring myself to put it down. The characters are well written and the storyline is the perfect pace to keep you engaged throughout. The only disappointment for me is that I have to wait for the next instalment to find out what happens next.
Fated mates Multiple pov He falls first I will burn the world down to protect you vibes
The story follows Birdie and Fennec, the storyline has lots of potential, however I wish it was more detailed in places so that we understood why the characters were doing what they were doing.
Also the book is told from multiple pov, which is fine, however some chapters are a repeat of a scene weve already read but from someone else's pov meaning the dialogue is exactly the same, which made the book feel repetitive!
That being said its full of action, the relationship between Fennec and Birdie is lovely and so is Birdies character development, so there are lots of positives! And what an ending!? Like what actually happened!? Intriguing!
Wow! What a ride! Sooo good! Birdie is an outcast, with flaming hair and eyes that don't belong, she's endured years of persecution—until the Climb changes everything. When a mysterious warrior saves her life, Birdie finds herself drawn into a world of magic she never knew existed. This was such an interesting world, the magic system so clever. I really enjoyed the writing style. This is a multiple POV book, which i enjoyed as it allowed the reader to get a better understanding of the world Birdie is such a great character, I've really enjoyed her journey and character development. What can i say about Fennec! Such an amazing MMC. He protects Birdie, even at risk to himself. Loved this so much. So much happened and so much to come!
I would give this book 5 stars for the story and twists but when Fennec spoke about how he felt for Birdie was really repetitive and it grated on me to read the same thing over and over again with just a slight variation to it. Other than that "Flame of Lasair" is a brilliant story, and very well written to entice you to turn the page, and the ending is a real cliffhanger I did not see coming! Birdie, always an outcast, has to climb the mountain like every other person her age. It's the way things are, to prove yourself and your worth. But little does she know what really awaits her and what will cross her path...
I can see where the story was hoping to go, but the meat of the story needs fleshing out. In some cases it was too much of a tell, rather than build up the information slowly. We have a FMC (Birdie) who needs to prove who she is in a society that has cast her as an outsider. Climbing the mountain is a rite of passage and her way to show all that she is a warrior, a worthy inclusion. The MMC (Fennec) faces his own challenges. He doesn't quite fit in but has enough knowledge to not be on the outs. I am invested and definitely want to know how this ends so will look for book 2 when it's released.
Fantasy readers unite this book is for you. This also has a cliffhanger ending so be prepared. Get ready to be swept up in another world. A world where demons hunt you and status is key. A world at 21 you must go on a quest that is life or death. Just because your strong physically you may not win or live. Grab a blanket and your favorite coffee and get ready to be swept up in the climb. Pick your favorites and cheer them one to the finish line. However, all is not it seems there are secrets and enemies that may be closer than you realize.
O. M. G. “The Flame of Lasair! The Marked Realm, Book 1”. What an absolutely fantastic book! There’s so much I want to say about this book and so much I FEEL! Magic, fantasy, strength, darkness, and soul binding love! The bond between Fennec and Birdie is so “other worldly” as is this story! I’ve never read a book like this! So incredibly intense! You’re constantly on edge! This book is so well written I can picture it as a movie! And the cliffhanger ending!!!! O. M. G.
Omg this book is absolutely fantastic and if you like the hungry games then you will definitely fall in love with this book, but its a paranormal book . I couldn't put this book down and and loved Birdie and Kaz and the rest of the characters in it. Im not giving any spoilers because this book is a must read and it is a cliffhanger and thats the hard part waiting for book 2. Its fantasy, paranormal and so much more and such a fantastic storyline that flows perfectly through out the book. I loved it.
Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this title in exchange for an honest review.
This book is intense from the beginning and I immediately was rooting for our heroine, Birdie. She is brave, an under dog, and a little bit lucky as she faces grueling physical and mental trials in order to survive. She also manages to find a family and fall in love along the way and, though I generally prefer closed-door romance, the more mature scenes in this book were well written and brief. Full disclosure that you will be left on a cliff hanger but I cannot wait for the second book to come out!
Birdie a candidate for the climb up the mountain. Fennec is part of Fae team .
Birdie and Fennec meet on her deadly quest ( test your skills and strength There are several in control and guide the prospects ( Luthein, Yin, Roman, Asha and Fennec). There is a slow burn , fated mates ( Birdie and Fennec). Can Birdie make the climb and survive? Can Fennec keep her safe? Can they have a Happily Ever After?
A big applause to Liv and Lia for this stunning book! 😍 I am in love with this story and can’t wait for the next book to come out! The writing style is so smooth and the POV switches are seamless. This has been the best book I have read in a while and I read a lot! If you are looking for excitement and something to swoon over, this is your book. I can recommend it to all Romantasy readers out there. My summary in emojis since I don’t want to add any spoilers: 🤩😳😍🫠🥹😏😌
Loved it! It was everything I didn’t know I needed and more. Loved the characters and character development. Birdie has just the right amount of everything you could want in a main female character, and Fen? Yes please! I loved the friendship that grows between birdie and the group she’s thrust into and the already established found family Fen has. I enjoyed the whole book and pre ordered book two after the first 3 chapters ;)
Mythology mixed with magic, fantasy and challenges. My second best read this week, gripping, edgy, dark at times. Bonds built between characters quickly due to danger and the things they need to do. It's twisty, believable despite the mystical and it's definitely a story to devour, it is also still developing so not complete. Loved reading it.
Such a gripping book. Couldn't put it down. Only problem was my day job getting in the way of binge reading it. Warning it does finish on a cliffhanger so if you're like me and hate waiting then you might want to wait until the others come out. Twists and turns along the way. Slow burn but plenty of romance brewing.
