I write books. I've always been a writer. I know it's cliche but I started writing almost as soon as I learned to read. I wrote a play for school--in the third grade--that they put on for Christmas that year. I've never quite forgiven my sister for getting married that night. I missed my own production!

I've worked in various fields throughout my career. I was a cop, EMT, photographer, journalist, high school English teacher for special education, and most recently, a published author.

I enjoy using the skills I've learned in those jobs in my writing. A little less research is needed when I write books with police or medical information.

I love to hear from readers and other writers. I can be reached on Twitter at @HopeWelsh and my blog at http://hopewelsh.blogspot.com or my website at http://hopewelsh.com

Authors write because they have a story to tell. They publish to tell you their story. Please be sure to leave a review when you read a book you enjoy. We do appreciate it, I promise.

The premise of this book was great and really promising. A man framed by his girlfriend for a crime he didn’t commit. When he’s released from prison, after two years, he’s out for revenge. He’s going to track down his ex-girlfriend and the other people behind the set-up, and get some answers, as well as clear his name.

Brandon has a huge mix of feelings for Amanda - anger, frustration, worry, attraction and, even though he doesn’t admit it to himself, he still cares for her very much.

We can tell straight away that Amanda did what she did out of fear and love for Brandon. She’s lonely and alone. She strives to keep a low profile, has no friends, and has been living in fear the whole time Brandon has been in prison.

Overall, this story was just OK for me. I think the main thing that I didn’t like were the sex scenes between the two leads, Brandon and Amanda; they weren’t my cup of tea – lots of spanking! I don’t mind a bit of kink, however, in both love scenes in the book, the spanking was a big feature, but then they were going to ‘make love’, which to me is more about affection, rather than just saying that they were going to have sex. I’m sorry to say that I found it a bit jarring and it didn’t work for me.

There’s a big mystery to be solved here, with elements of danger and desperation. However, I’m not sure I feel vested enough in the characters to find out.

Promising story with a great premise.

Brandon has spent the last two years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Upon his release he is determined to find his ex-girlfriend and force her to reveal why she framed him.

Amanda has spent the last two years running and hiding from those who wish to harm her. Always regretting being forced into blaming Brandon, she is determined to keep a low profile.

Brandon finds Amanda and the struggle begins to stay alive. If he found her, does that mean the others can do the same? This book is full of mystery and intrigue. Who is behind this chaos?

I found the story to be interesting and enjoyable. Brandon and Amanda still love each other, yet they are both fighting the attraction for different reasons. Their love scenes are HOT, yet feel a bit off. There is lots of kink in the form of spankings, yet going from that to love making just seems somewhat distorted.

The way the book ends, with issues still left unresolved, makes you want to pick up the next book and continue until the mystery unravels.

**** WARNING THIS BOOK CONTAINS ADULT SITUATIONS*****

This arc was given to me for my honest review.

This is the first book in the series.

Brandon has spent the last two years in jail. Now he's getting out and he knows exactly what he's he's going to do. Find the women who framed him, and why. The only thing he was guilty of was being a good cop, and loving her. When he finds her things all change. Amanda has spent the last two years hiding, and looking over her shoulder. Life for her will never be the same since she did what she had to to save the man she loves.

This book was something else. I couldn't put it down. I feel in love with Brandon he was so full of justified hate, and then just as easily let it go when he saw the truth. He is so very strong and protective. Amanda is so full of love she did everything she could to save the man she loves, and fully excepted he would never want her again. What is not to love about these characters? This was a really great book, and I can't wait to find out what happens next, and who really did it?

Thought provoking drama that makes you seriously wonder who is out to come between Mandy and Brandon. This book was intriguing and crazy good...high octane fueled action/suspense that keeps you glued to your seat wanting to know what happens next. From betrayal, hurt and anger to fear, forgiveness and love; when Mandy and Brandon are together it seems like everything is a tug of war. As a couple, they are soo hot!! You can just FEEL their passion, when they catch a moment to and let their guard down, is sexy, sultry and spank-tastic!! I can't wait to see what happens next as the end left with me with my mouth hanging open in shock. Because nothing is as it seems....and everything you thought you knew is being questioned.

Interesting story about a woman who plays a vital role in putting her cop boyfriend in prison. She's also a witness to a murder. Follow their story and see what happens when the boyfriend gets out and wants to find out just why she put him behind bars in the first place!
