I laughed, I sobbed, and felt unimaginable rage. After being in a reading slump for the last several months, this was a book that I devoured in one sitting.
Tiffany really allows herself to be vulnerable and open about her life experiences in such a beautiful way. Piecing Me Together made me reflect about my own relationships and interactions with family members who've struggled with addiction.
Throughout the book, one of Tiffany's key characteristics that kept coming up for me was her unwavering kindness. Especially for people that were less than kind with her.
Truly a perfect summer read!

I found Tiffany’s story very interesting as she was able to be very vulnerable and introspective on her childhood and dating experiences. I think her experience with evangelical Christianity is probably much more common than people think and how these teachings can shape relationships later in life.

I found it very well done for a first time author and I think there are a lot of people who could find connection with her story.

I don’t typically read memoirs, yet I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The journal-style writing made it feel as if I were chatting with the author over coffee.

As someone who didn’t grow up with strict religious practices, I initially worried I wouldn’t connect with the story or its lessons. However, the intimate nature of the book drew me in and made me deeply empathetic. At times I felt frustrated for Tiffany, and other times I celebrated alongside her as she found self-empowerment and healing. Those emotions stayed with me throughout this coming-of-age journey.

If you’re looking for an emotional exploration of how children are shaped by their environment, the lasting effects of religious trauma, and one woman’s journey to deconstruct, heal, and evolve, this book is for you.

I really enjoyed this book! I sped through it in 3 days and had to make myself put it down because of adult responsibilities.

First, I found this book to be very well written. It flowed well and was easy to follow the time frame. As a Christian, there were some things that were more difficult to read, but I really appreciated the perspective of growing up in a devoted Christian household and what that can potentially look like as that was not my experience.

Familial relationships, friendships, romantic relationships—all of these things and their beauties and complexities are explored. Coming of age and trying to figure out what you believe and what you want your life to look like. The heartbreak of broken trust and questioning who is actually trustworthy. All of these things are explored in great detail and are so universal to the human experience, regardless of your age, religion, gender, demographic, etc.

I appreciate that the book was detailed but didn’t go overboard. There is very little in regard to swearing and any talk about sex is kept pretty PG.

I found myself thinking of how brave it was for Tiffany to write this book. In doing so, she is putting out the most vulnerable parts of her for the world to see. I cannot imagine this was easy to do. But the more we see others being open, honest, and vulnerable, the more we feel like we can do the same.

So, whether you’re a Christian or not or once were, I think everyone will find some of themselves in this book and find comfort in knowing they’re not alone in the trials and difficulties of this life.

What an absolute gem of a book. I didn't know what to expect going into this memoir and wow. The writing is beautiful, it's clear the author has done the emotional work to process her trauma, and her story is crazy inspiring. Without spoiling anything, I'll say that the relationships Tiffany lives through grow increasingly more toxic and shockingly dysfunctional. I scraped my jaw off the floor repeatedly, and was impressed by the honesty with which each story is approached.
Tiffany does not shy away from her own faults, carefully dissecting the responsibility she has in her own relationships, as well as how the massive trauma of her strictly religious upbringing influenced every aspect of her lived experience in adult relationships. The first person stories that take us into her life are so relatable and immersive.
The threads of hope and healing provide reassurance that whatever your life has taught you about yourself, there's room to unclear toxic habits and grow as a person.

Wow! This book was an impressive feat! The author delves deep into her past and generously shares her life story in an attempt to reach out to others who are stuck in toxic cycles with religion and relationships. She leaves no stone unturned in exposing her truth: showcasing her strength and vulnerability.

This book is for anyone who appreciates hearing others’ life journeys: the good, bad, and ugly; the struggles, trauma, and triumphs of life. The themes of religious deconstruction, feminist empowerment, toxic relationships with men, and learning, growing, and healing abound.

I was able to read this as an ARC copy last summer. Tiffany digs into religion, relationships, and growth in this beautifully written autobiography. She is real, raw, reflective, and vulnerable. She provides such an insightful view of difficult points in her life deconstructing faith, divorce, and death. I would recommend this to any young 20-30 year old woman who might find relatable and common ground through her story.
