Within the darkest corners a shift in the shadows that doesn’t reveal…or does it?
Moth a shadow demon of the Nameless, ruled by a boss whose sadistic ways go against his beliefs. His light, his flame needs his protection, she has it in bucket loads though along with that comes his obsession and that could be fatal to them both. Ellie having survived an abusive relationship is re-building her life, her artwork being her passion (I say this tongue in cheek, IYKYK 🤭) Until the shadows twirl and form into a being in her bedroom, what follows is a chemistry unlike anything she has felt before, a safety net she didn’t know she needed but as we know true love is not without some pain…
😈 "𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗯𝗼𝘆𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱?" 𝗜 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲, 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘆𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘄. 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁? 𝗕𝗼𝘆𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱. 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗲𝗿.😈
Theo’s narrative just draws you into this story, giving us pieces of their lives, is he a stalker maybe 🤫, will he do anything to protect her, damn right and she in turn accepts who he is. Be prepared for the spice between them, the dominant pull they both feel and succumb to 🥵. There were parts I snickered at, Moth just has that attractive quality of bringing it to the fore. Within the pages we are led through violence, d3ath, shadow demons, 🐝DSM, real friendship, tense times, torture and a whole lot more but ultimately a love that can withstand whatever is thrown at them.

Whimsical, sassy, playful and tense in all the right places. Theo R Moss’s dark romance, “Moth” draws a clear line between fantasy tension and unwelcome trauma.
Between celebrations of gorgeous friendships, colourful language and a wicked sense of humour, the sensory imagery will have you tied to your seat, asking for more.
It’s dark. It’s addictive. It is intense. But hey, “In the grand scheme of things, what’s a few red flags?”

❤️🔥📖 “I came for the demon… I stayed for the devotion.” 📖❤️🔥
This book completely and utterly consumed me.
The second I saw there were 56 trigger warnings, I knew I was about to experience something wild… but I wasn’t expecting to become this obsessed. 🖤
From the very beginning I was theorising, questioning everything, and spiralling over Moth. Every single appearance had me kicking my feet, screaming internally, and trying to piece together who he really was. 🦋❤️🔥
Eleanor was such a compelling FMC. Watching her navigate control, vulnerability, healing, and desire felt incredibly real. Her journey was beautiful, heartbreaking, and empowering all at once. 🖤🥀
And then there’s Moth…
❤️🔥🦋 𝑀𝑜𝓉𝒽. 🦋❤️🔥
I was obsessed from the moment he entered the story. The mystery surrounding him had me hooked, but it was his devotion that completely stole my heart. Watching him and Eleanor grow together, trust each other, and sacrifice for one another was everything.
The chemistry? ❤️🔥
The tension? ❤️🔥
The emotional connection? ❤️🔥
The devotion? ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Finn also became one of my favourites. Protective, chaotic, covered in red flags but secretly soft underneath? Say less. 🥀🖤 And I absolutely loved Kitti and Cleo. Every side character felt memorable and brought something special to the story.
One thing I wasn’t expecting was how emotional this book would make me. The dedication didn’t fully hit me until the end, and when it did… wow. It felt like a love letter to everyone who’s ever felt forgotten. That part genuinely stayed with me. 🖤
There was a brief moment where the pacing slowed for me, but once everything started falling into place I couldn’t stop reading. Every piece mattered. Every reveal hit.
This was my first demon romance and honestly? The bar has now been set ridiculously high. ❤️🔥

Moth is a great first novel from this author, a really interesting concept and well written, showing a lot of promise for what this author has to offer in the future.
It’s a dark romance so as always do check your trigger warnings! Ellie was in a DV relationship (prior to the book beginning) which pushed her to the point of utter despair. At that point her soul called out into the darkness and she was assigned to one of ‘The nameless’. Their role is to collect the souls and help them pass over when they are ready. Eleanor was assigned to Moth who became obsessed with her, until he could no longer stay in the shadows and had to insert himself into her life and make her his. This leads to a very intense dark romance between human Ellie and immortal shadow demon Moth. Tons of drama both in the relationship and in the rest of the plot, plenty of spice and as I always love with a dark romance the ‘villain’ that will burn the world down for the woman he loves.
Great character work in the main characters and side characters an all around great book.

This book was definitely not what I was expecting. It was so much better. Eleanor is an FMC who has been through so much but she is working hard to put it all behind her. If only she didnt have a pesky sleep paralysis demon haunting her dreams!!
Moth is the epitome of a man obsessed and I was here for every obsessive thought he had!
I was totally hooked on Moth and Ellie their chemistry was off the charts throughout the book and I loved every mouthwatering second!
The last part of the book had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was going to happen and I was reading at super speed to see how it would all turn out.
This story is hot and a little bit dark and alot sexy but alos had lots of laugh out loud moments especially with Ellie and her friends. its a great story and a definite must read.

This Book was Amazing ! Where to start Moth is the leader of the nameless and Eleanor’s sleep paralysis demon, and let me tell you I now want my own one haha … his watched Eleanor for years in the shadows watching her slowly rebuild her life as he plans to overthrow his sadistic boss of the underworld … Eleanor is a little warrior and survived so much never letting anyone distinguish her little flame I love her willpower and determination…the spice scenes are amazing one favourite scene for me being the power exchange .. and watching there love bloom between all the chaos…. I loved every minute of this book and highly recommend it to any and everyone

3.5 ⭐️
I feel this book started strong, with sexy stalker fetish activated 😊🥵❤️🔥
Then it seemed to plod along for a bit too long, but left me with questions unanswered.
I understand the Flame 🔥 concept. I understand the Nameless's job, but not how or why they came to be. I feel Moths 🦋 back story is also missing, with only brief information but not enough to satisfy.

Amazing read, the banter and humour throughout with all characters had me laughing, the characters are loveable and fun and who doesn’t love a possessive shadow daddy? Totally recommend. Moth is a great read!

That was hot. This book is full of spice, I'd say over 50%. The story is very fast paced and is a HEA. Its a dark, stalker supernatural rom com with some pretty dark themes and over 50 trigger warning. I chewed through this book so fast and I wish I could already read it again for the first time.

Really liked this. Ellie is a very sweet MFC, easy to get behind, and Moth - aah Moth, would that I could have such a delicious sleep paralysis demon. I mean, I'm not keen on gaining a sleep paralysis affliction (can't imagine much that would be more terifying), but I'd quite like a Moth, pretty please.
The story drew me in straight away, the writing was smooth, the British-isms were very appreciated, it was moody and atmospheric I really, really loved Moth's inner monologues (reminded me a little of the way that Keri Lake wrote Cal in Mercenary and the Mortician - one of my favouirte books). Brilliant debut, can't wait to read more from Theo R Moss!

Eleanor is a brilliant painter surviving the aftermath of abuse, haunted by crippling sleep paralysis and a shadowy figure at the edge of her vision. But the monster in her nightmares is terrifyingly real, a lethal and possessive being named Moth who has watched her for years. He is done being patient, finally stepping from the shadows to protect her from the world and claim her for himself.
- Supernatural stalker romance
- Sleep paralysis demon
- Possessive shadow monster
- Trauma survivor FMC
- Dark romantic comedy

Firstly, please check your triggers, this book deals with a range of complex and difficult issues. Moth is my first stalker themed dark romance book, and oh what an introduction! I’m so glad the author reached out and gave me the opportunity to read this book, because it was not only very powerful and emotional, but also, a lot of fun.
Our MMC is Moth, a Nameless shadow who haunts those who call out into the void in the worst moments of their lives. Moth works for, well, a heinous bitch, who forces her minions to torture those poor lost flames and make what is left of their lives a living hell. But when Moth is drawn to a specific little Flame, his Eleanor, he cannot fulfil this task. Instead, he becomes obsessed with keeping her safe, watching her every move, and of course in a not at all stalker-ish way counting the freckles over her body whilst she sleeps.
Eleanor has escaped from a version of hell on earth that most of us would never know one human could endure. Her abusive ex broke almost every part of her, but thankfully her little flame was not snuffed out, as she found the strength to escape. Now she is building a life for herself as a painter, she paints her dark, messy and erotic experiences with sleep paralysis and the demon that haunts her.
This book was everything I hoped it would be, the MMC is slightly unhinged in a feral for his girl way, the FMC is sweet and soft but also fiesty and strong. There are moments that are simply laugh out loud hilarious, moments that will have you crying, shouting out loud, and fanning yourself. I loved Moth, like he is funny and twisted and holy hell that man has some creative ideas. Ellie never stopped surprising me, which I loved to see a complex three dimensional female character. The spice is SPICING, and it is done sooooo very well, beautifully written and complex with their dynamics and emotions.
If you are looking for a dark romance, with stalker vibes, a bit of magic or fantasy whilst still being in a mostly contemporary setting this is the book for you. You will also love the found family in the best of besties, the sharp wits, fantastic one liners that break the fourth wall and the use of kitchen roll (just trust me).
⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Wickedly sinful and delightfully funny.

My sleep paralysis demon romance itch has FINALLY. BEEN. SCRATCHED! Third time's the charm!!
I loved Eleanor as an FMC - if there is a "damsel in distress" she is the definition of it while at the same time refusing to let life keep her down. She's finally getting back to some sort of resemblance of her old self and has been working on multiple pieces for her upcoming art show. Some of these piece include "her shadow" - something that's always on her peripherals, refusing to let her sleep.
Moth - sleep paralysis demon or "Nameless" who stalks his light (unless you ask him) is the definition of a protective, possessive, morally grey MMC. At first only appearing to her as shadows, his addiction eventually gets worse and he reveals himself to her.
My only complaint is how repetitive it started to feel until we got to the climax of the story. Eleanor somehow gets herself into some kind of trouble (like come on girl has been mugged more times than Pottery Barn), Moth miraculously shows up to save her, they have spicy times, he leaves, repeat the cycle.
The climax of the story was done SO WELL and I loved seeing everyone's reactions to everything going on, especially Moth! Dude is the epitome of obsession and his reactions to his Boss definitely showed that. I loved Eleanor even more at the end with how fast she was able to form a solution for everyone.

This story was so deliciously good.
It's dark, addictive and intense.
Moth is a demon from the Nameless. I loved his obsession with Ellie.
My heart hurt for Ellie, She's been through a lot and she was trying to put her life together. The chemistry between Ellie and Moth was undeniable and had me wanting more of the as I was reading the book. The author's created a beautiful love story that can withstand everything that's thrown at them.
It definitely has some darker themes and you should check the trigger warnings before you read it, but in the same time got me giggling with Ellie and her friends.
Thank you so much Theo R. Moss for sending me a copy of this amazing book.

Had to give up at chapter 8
It felt like it dragged and the characters haven't even interacted yet, but he's always watching her.
I thought it would pick up once they actually spoke to each other, but the ML is just annoying me
She blinks and he's "done for"
She breathes "he's done for"
Any little thing she does has him about to combust, even though they haven't spoken yet. He needs more help than her I think
She hides behind a pillow and that pillow has made his "shitlist" because it has the audacity to hide what's his 🙄 they still haven't spoken at this point. Although it is their first meeting
I already felt like I was forcing myself to keep reading, so I'm going to stop here

I read this book weeks ago and I think I need to read it again. Such a cool story, a completely new concept, and so so funny! Loved it. The story is wrapped up nicely in the end but really hoping for a sequel!!
