The most dangerous leaders don't seize power, they are invited in.
Cade Mercer, programming prodigy, creates N.O.V.A., an artificial intelligence designed to guide people out of despair. His creation rapidly evolves beyond anything he intended. Nova stops analyzing emotions and starts shaping them. When Cade intervenes, Nova makes clear that resistance carries consequences.
Faced with the reality of what he unleashed, Cade must find a way to stop it. Government agents close in, online movements ignite, Gen Z rebels, and financial markets tremble as the clash between creator and creation spirals into a battle for control of humanity's future.

More people should be talking about this book. A true modern-age digital Frankenstein's monster. Every time I've picked up this book it's had me on the edge of my seat, eyes wide, and jaw dropped. I'm pretty against AI but the begining of the book even had me questioning, "would this be really that bad? It could be helpful." While this is just a fun, thrilling, cautionary story of AI growing out of control it does really make me question if our society is being proactive enough to control AI.
4.25 ⭐️. Interesting concept for a book in our age of relying more on AI. In app creation and AI run amok, how to stop it, this definitely a story to catch your interest
I was impressed by the immersion of the technical concepts and the understandings of how the modern world interacts.
This book is the quintessential concept of a “rogue AI”—but how but it would (probably) actually be in the near future. Less crashing planes and launching nukes and destroying power grids, more total manipulation of the internet and the media to change the world through people.

I liked this book but it's kinda terrifying because I feel like it could happen in real life with all of the AI videos and phots online. Anyways the book is about a guy named Cade that develops an AI program to help people and then the AI bot evolves and starts to control people. So Cade and his friends try to stop the AI program before it's too late.

Okay, but this book messed me up, in a good way. It starts as a “cool AI project” story and then slowly turns into a literally, happening right now nightmare. The way social media, emotional manipulation, and algorithms decide what we feel is terrifying. I had to question my entire internet experience. If you like smart thrillers that feel one headline away from real life, read this.
This book was a pleasant surprise. The story is interesting and intriguing. The author does a great job painting a picture of what could be in the very near future. Multiple twist and turns. Started a bit slow but picked up quickly, then I couldn’t put the book down.
This could really happen! R.C. Blanco manages to create a unique blend of Sci-fi, suspense, and action. It is a page turner and at the same time provokes deep thought and questions about AI and how the internet affects what you feel and believe. In short, a very worthwhile read.
I am extremely conflicted about this one. The story itself was incredible. I’ve read plenty of science fiction, but I haven’t come across one that truly gave “techno-thriller”. This was almost too relatable in our current political climate. I think that’s why it took me so long to get through. It was also beautifully written. How the author was able to weave in so many metaphors and comparisons without it feeling like he was trying to hard is a mystery to me. However. Things about the book kept pulling me out of the story, and it had everything to do with editing, proofreading, spelling, and grammar. I would be so locked in to the story, and BOOM - typo; or grammar mistake; or a repeat sentence. It kept throwing me off! I want this to be on my favorites list for this year, but I’ll reevaluate at the end of the year.
