open marriage but only when it benefits me

I can honestly say I loved every minute of this book. I was completely hooked from page one and stayed that way all the way through to the final chapter.

The story centers around Hailee, our FMC, who has been married to her high school sweetheart, Sam. Their relationship takes a complicated turn when Sam repeatedly pushes for an open marriage. After years of pressure and emotional exhaustion, Hailee finally agrees which setts poff a chain of events that changes everything.

That decision leads her to Stiles, the love interest who completely shifts her perspective on love and self-worth. What starts as an arrangement quickly becomes something much deeper. Stiles doesn’t just see Hailee as part of an “open” situation—he truly values her and makes it clear that he wants her entirely. Watching Hailee experience that kind of emotional awakening was incredibly compelling.

Of course, things don’t stay simple. When Sam realizes he may actually be losing Hailee, tensions rise and the emotional stakes become even higher. The push and pull between all three characters kept me fully invested, and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.

This book was amazing—emotional, intense, and deeply engaging. If you enjoy stories about complicated relationships, personal growth, and discovering your worth, this is definitely one to pick up

From the very first page, I was hooked. The author draws you in effortlessly and keeps you there. I especially loved the character development, from Hailee to Stiles and Sam… yes, even Sam.
There is plenty of spice in the story, but every intimate moment feels earned. As I read, it was clear the author took her time crafting scenes that are mature, sensual, and elegant. Nothing feels cheap or written purely for shock value. Instead, each moment carries emotion and intention, allowing the reader to feel every laugh, every argument, and every moment of intimacy.
The storyline itself is mature, and the lessons woven through each character are easy to relate to. The author describes scenes so vividly that you can almost hear the sounds of the city, see the trees, and picture the Hudson River in your mind.
I can only thank her for sharing this story and her craft with us.

I have a lot of (positive) feelings about this book.

Ok, so if you are strongly against any cheating of any form in a romance novel, this book isn’t for you. For me, I just need to dislike the spouse in the relationship enough for it to be ok.

The overall premise of the book is that Hailee, the man character of the book, is forced into an “open” (quotations because that’s not really what was happening) relationship with her husband, Sam. She doesn’t partake for a long time, but eventually she does, and obviously (to make this a story) that part is steamy and he’s wonderful. Now let’s get back to Sam - wow do I hate him so much. I spent most of the book screaming at her to leave him. I don’t want to spoil anything, but, he sucks and she spends way too much time letting him suck. Overall, I heavily enjoyed this read (screaming included).

1,000 times, YES!

Don’t let the page count intimidate you! The spacing is generous so this was actually a very fast, and verrrryyyy spicy read! You’re thrown right into the spice on page one and it’ll leave you blushing! In all the best ways of course! I don’t recommend reading at work or near the parents/in-laws, ha ha ha! I loved this book!! You want a spicy, good read?! This will be your book!!!

A Highly addictive and thrilling love story.

Untamed Affair comes full steam ahead from the very first page. It is a highly addictive love story that is full of spice and is also dark and suspenseful in many ways. I feel this novel is so much more than just a steamy read. It is also a captivating story about finding oneself and where love and loyalty lie in one's lifestyle and marriage.

In this story, we also meet three interesting characters who become quite involved in a series of entanglements that quickly spiral out of control, leading to shocking and disturbing behavior. As this wild, steamy, and shocking story unfolds, it quickly turns to something that I never expected. I highly recommend Untamed Affair for anyone who loves spice, drama, suspense, and “..Psychological warfare…” because this book is one hell of a wild ride that you’ll never forget.

I went into this book thinking it was going to be about romance and, instead, what I read with romance along with true crime and suspense. I find that I didn’t like the merge of genres. Had I known domestic violence was going to be a part of the book I never would have read it. The FMC and her husband were both insufferable, honestly.

As far as the formatting goes, I feel like the book was a lot shorter than 600+ pages but there’s a large amount of spacing between sentences which makes the book seem longer.

Overall I warn anyone going into this book for romance without understanding the other subjects included.
