Changed by the Qur’an

Rate this book
Nobody will ever succeed at changing the Qur’an, nor will the Qur’an ever fail at changing anybody. But without bettering our intellectual and spiritual engagement with the Qur’an, we find ourselves coughing in the trenches, or caught in the crossfires, of today’s globalized war of ideas.

Changed by the Qur’an is intended as a practical guide to removing the barriers between every Muslim and their personal transformative relationship with the Qur’an, whether those barriers be imaginary or spawned by modernity’s sophisticated machinery.

it was such a unique book to read, I cherished every paragraph of this book because it was rich with incredibly authentic material, and a lot of ahadith were new to me. So, it is definitely recommended to read 🧡

From the book:

It is reported that Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal Once admitted, “I saw the Lord of Might in my sleep, so I said, ‘My Lord, what is the most superior method with which people have drawn near to You?' He said, "With My words, O Ahmad" I said, ''My Lord, with or without comprehension?'' He said, "With and without comprehension.”

Once I tried to read a book on etiquette of seeking knowledge and It was so tedious I couldn't finish it neither did I benefit much from it. This was such a different experience. I loved, enjoyed, and benefitted from the very first page.
I think of it as a complete etiquette to approach, reflect and take the most benefit from the Qur’an in sha Allah.
Every chapter introduces with the title what is to be discussed and expands upon it in simple, clear language instances and analogies that make it easy to follow along, understand, relate and ultimately adapt.
It's a humble book that's immensely beneficial. I'll be reading again and again biidnillah
