I was blown away by this book. I saw a video about it on Tiktok and decided on a whim to not only add to my tbr but to start it the same day. I love any opportunity to support indie authors! I was not expecting to feel such a connection to the FMC and in turn finish the book in one sitting. I enjoyed the authors writing style and even though most of it was set while the FMC was younger, I felt such a strong connection with her that only built as time went on. I feel like anyone who has ever truly loved someone, been involved with someone that felt like their soulmate will feel a deep connection to the characters, just like I did.
wow… I’m still recovering. This isn’t typically the genre I gravitate toward, and now I’m remembering why—this story completely broke my heart. I went in curious and came out emotionally wrecked (in the best and worst way). That said, I absolutely fell in love with the characters. They felt real, raw, and impossible not to care about, which made every moment hit that much harder. By the end, I was full on sobbing. I do wish there had been some trigger warnings going in, because parts of this story are heavy. Readers who are sensitive to emotional or heartbreaking themes may want to prepare themselves. Even so, this was a powerful, beautifully written story that left a lasting impression on me. If you’re someone who appreciates deeply emotional reads and doesn’t shy away from heartbreak, this book will definitely stay with you.
This story is beautifully written. It’s different… It’s easy to read and moves quickly. From the beginning, you can sense the profound and deep feelings the couple has for each other. Those feelings wax and wane from extreme yet careful growing love to the heaviest of griefs caused by love. The pull to be together is always there. Just when you think you’ve figured it out, something shifts and you are pulled back into the madness.
While this is a beautifully tragic love story, it is not for the faint of heart. I definitely used quite a few tissues for this book!!
I received this book as an ARC. This is my independent and honest review. Well done.
From the very beginning Rowan said this was her story to tell and she needed Ryder to promise to just listen. It definitely was Rowan’s story and Ryder let it be….and oh my this girl and the love she held for him was so emotionally beautiful…and OMG 😭😭😭 the ending! So many feelings! Shocked. Extreme Emotional Ugly Crying! Definitely a 5 ⭐️ for me! R.D. Knox did such a wonderful job! I love new indie authors! You can tell they put their whole heart and soul and R.D. Knox definitely did. This story will live in my soul forever.
This story doesn’t just tug at your heart, it wraps itself around it and stays there. Rowan and Ryder’s love feels raw, messy, and deeply real, the kind that grows and changes as life does. Watching Rowan evolve from girlhood into womanhood while loving fiercely the whole way is both beautiful and heartbreaking. This book is proof that loves like this do exist, and once you read it, you won’t forget it.
This book was beautifully written. It made you feel every emotion. The relationship between Ryder and Rowan was so raw and real. The hardships of just never realizing your worth and thinking youre just never good enough even if the love is there. If Ryder could've let Rowans love build him-itd live for ever. I just dont have enough words to say how this emotional book made me feel. Even through the heart break and tears-it was 100% worth the read. you will ugly cry.
I really liked the story, though there were a few spots where I wanted a bit more information. I especially wish we’d gotten more from Ryder’s point of view. 🩷
I got this independently published book as an arc. I didn’t expect to love it as much as I did. It was a heartbreakingly beautiful story of love and loss.
