From the moment he met petite, headstrong Zoe Yarberry, cowboy Rory Breen was a changed man. Well, he didn't exactly meet her--he just happened along in time to help her steal a horse. And he wasn't completely changed--he would always be a restless cowpoke bucking the demons in his soul. Still, something about Zoe, with her adorable twin girls and her red horse, Blue, had Rory's love-parched heart thirsting for her tender mercies.
But Zoe was downright skittish of cowboys and their heated promises. Only a man with true-blue intentions would drink from the wellspring of her passion. Rory was fit to be tied! But was he fit to be tied down?

4.5 stars This a 1993 book by Curtis Ann Matlock that I think is a great read. Even though it is an older book, it doesn't sound dated. It's a love story featuring a Rory Breen (a cowboy rancher burned by love who like to drink and get in bar fights) and Zoe Yarberry (Basically a single mom struggling to support her cutie twin girls she is raising alone. Zoe is married to a irresponsible manboy who travels the rodeo who doen't support her and the girls. Highly enjoyed this book.
Enjoyed for a second time. Want to read the others in the Breen men saga.
