It's been a while since I read a book in this series, so it does work as a standalone.

Concrete Evidence by Conrad Jones is one incredibly twisted story! Just as you think the team is closing in on the killer, something happens that will have you looking elsewhere. Right up until the end, the author kept me guessing and it makes for a nail-biting read. Highly recommend this series if you like a gripping storyline with plenty of chills.

I'm left still feeling a bit confused, there's a few things that don't add up and questions that still need answering. I loved the graphic details which set the scenes almost as if you were there observing it all. Really starting to enjoy the characters of the MIT and see a bit of humour and sarcasm spill throw every now and then makes it even more enjoyable. Another book that was hard to put down but immediately put you right back in to it when you picked it back up. Will be sad to see this series end.

Chilling and disturbing!

Killers, rapists, psychos and revenge hungry sadists, just some of the human flotsam and jetsam the MIT squad had to deal with. With more twists and turns than a Chinese puzzle box this complicated story plummeted the depths of human depravity. However, it did so in such a way as to keep the reader enthralled throughout. It had a gruesome and satisfactory ending to boot. If you have a strong stomach and don't suffer from nightmares then I would recommend this book.

DI Annie Jones and sidekick DS Jim Stirling are back for more action in Merseyside, with the gruesome discovery of the bodies of two women, whose investigation turns the detectives’ attention to an old unsolved case of an abducted child.

I enjoyed the story and loved the development of Annie’s character and her relationship with her fellow officers. There are a lot of characters and some reappear from the first book in the trilogy. This happens quite late in the book and at times I was struggling to remember who everyone was and what their role was in the first book. I also felt the formatting and editing of this book wasn’t quite up to the same standard as the first book in the trilogy. This is why this book didn’t get a 5* from me (unlike the first book). However, I did enjoy it, enough to go straight on to the third book in the trilogy.

This book has many references to things that happen in the first book in the trilogy, as a result I would recommend that the trilogy is read in order.

I’ve loved this series so far. I don’t like writing spoilers but I have to hoping someone will clear it up for me. In the last book Brendon was set up, Ryder was the killer and set him up for it. This book there is 3 killers, Barton, Harris an Ryder. Barton stole the kids an killed but it makes u believe Barton was the butcher not Ryder. So who did Ryder kill? Barton set Harris up-that’s clear. But what exactly did Ryder do? Barton and Harris kidnapped Simon? So how did Barton not know Simon was with Ryder? And am I right Barton is the butcher.
Is it sterling or Stirling?? The constant spell change got on my nerves.
Anyone clear this up? Be appreicated.

Another brilliant book from Conrad Jones, he brings his characters alive and leaves you guessing to the end.

I totally enjoy everything Conrad Jones has written so far. He brings each character alive and you are unable to put his books down until you know the ending. He cleverly transports you into his stories that leaves you so enthralled that you feel your actually in the story. Absolutely brilliant author, looking forward to reading more of his work.

DCI Alex Ramsay an
d Merseyside Police’s Murder Investigation Team find themselves reexamining a case they thought was long solved. Set mainly in Liverpool and Benidorm the plot follows the attempt to connect two suspects, one of whom is adamant he’s innocent despite DNA evidence to the contrary, to a series of rapes and murders. As usual with this author there are scenes of graphic violence which pull no punches, but this is an excellent addition to a terrific series.

Horrofic

The things that sick, twisted minds can inflict on the innocence of others is chilling. The author has masterfully taken us on trips through the criminally insane. I have gone from book to book, immersed one battle our law enforcement fights so diligently. The horror of mankind is more than we could imagine.

Concrete evidence. Conrad Jones

I enjoyed this macabre book. The story was back and forth through people’s lives. Lots of pain torture and eventually death so wouldn’t suit someone who just likes easy to read books. The best bit is the Police won in the end. The baddies got their cumuppance.

4 stars because I miss Alec Ramsey as the main character

As always a good read, but I don’t know why he’s switched characters around, I enjoyed the books with Ramsey as the main protagonist

Only discovered Conrad Jones by chance and within 2 weeks I'm about to start Alec Ramsey #7. This one, Concrete Evidence, tied up a few loose ends from his previous book thankfully, (I should have known better than to question Conrad Jones) which had bugged me. I like the way that the storyline of the previous book becomes intertwined with the book that follows. You feel that you're on a roller coaster ride, but the story actually unfolds slowly, drawing you in to read another chapter before you go to sleep. Then all at once its 4am, you've finished the book, but you find yourself beginning the next one in the series.

Another very good read in the Alec Ramsay series. This book continues the story from Desolate Sands. A very gripping read but unfortunately still the significant number of typos. There was a lot of switching back and forth and twists and turns in this book that made it difficult to follow at times and I am not sure I completely 'bought in' to the actual unsub.

Will be reading the next in the series

This is the scariest series.

I love scary books. This author has a great imagination. I just wonder if he's married. If so I don't think his wife can possibly sleep well. No arguments, her body would never be found. Quite an entertaining series. I'm going to download the rest of the series ASAP
I usually know who the killer is quite soon Knot

I have read all of the current Alec Ramsey series and have liked them a lot. They all have really good suspenseful plots and make you want to keep reading to know what happens next. They are a bit on the gory side but that didn't deter me as the stories were very enjoyable to read.
