I never meant for her to see me this way, half-man, half-fluffball, hopping around my own yard under the full moon that made me into an oversized bunny.
My life has been spent hiding this bushy secret, because what else is there? Who wants a partner with a mating season, cotton tail and floppy ears?
But when Esther Basquette moved in next door, here to help save Carrot Creek’s famous Easter Eggstravaganza, one word echoed through my were-bunny mine.
She’s a ray of sunshine when she smiles, and her laugh is so cute that when I hear it, I have to fight the urge to shift into Hopper, my bunny alter, chase her through the carrot fields and mate her mine.
With a full moon rising, and my Easter heat coming up, I hope Esther will hop into my bed and my heart.
But will she still like me when she knows I’m a man-bunny?
Daisy Jane is a forbidden love romance author, inspired by VC Andrews and more . When she's not penning a hot age gap novel or dreaming up steamy stories, she's enjoying the sunshine and warmth at her home in California. She enjoys reading, true crime, exercise and, of course, romance.
What if the Easter BUNNY is your shifter SOULMATE?! Let’s make Easter slutty again… 🐣💜
“All this talk about Easter for me must be like mouth-spitting and deep-throating for the average handyman.”
Esther Basquette (LOL the name!) heads to Carrot Creek to help her sis organize the ultimate Easter Eggstravaganza 🐣💐 She is charmed by the small town & cute neighbour Jack Hopper. But then a BUNNY WINKS at her and a soulmate relationship is born…
“I’ve been a bad bunny.”
I really enjoyed the heavy Easter-driven eroticism! This is a purely fun & non-serious novella but I was genuinely impressed with all the Easter-theme smut. Two adorable characters dive egg-first into shifter smutiness!
🐣 adorably cozy small town obsessed with Easter
🐣 he can’t stop shifting (even in public!)
🐣 carrot = sex toy
🐣 mmc has a hard on for Easter…LITERALLY climaxes when she talks about the egg hunt
HOWEVER, I’m throughly conflicted about the furry peen 🍆 loved the golden retriever mmc (or should I say HOPPING BUNNY) but the talk about him PAWING his junk & having shifter sex was a bit much even for me. I would almost classify this as…monster smut.
Deceivingly innocent cover with ultra SMUTTY scenes! Beware that the writing can be boldly explicit using words like pungent, veiny & creamy 👀 icccccccck!

shifter romance novella virgin mmc bookish fmc insta love fated mates shifter mmc (he’s a huge bunny!) Easter festival mating ritual small town HEA
This is meant to be OTT ridiculousness so I can’t really give it a proper review. It wasn’t really my thing, but it might be yours!
Jack Hopper ❤️ Ester Basquette
See, right there… the names should give you a clue. Lol. Lots and lots of Easter puns. A town mayor bad guy. A shape shifting extremely horny bunny, who’s only horny for his newly discovered mate.
- No third act breakup - No misunderstandings - No angst; zero - No OM/OW. He’s a virgin, having saved himself for his mate. - Fated mates - Jack shifts into a bunny everytime he’s near Ester. - Lots of sexy times everywhere, as both the giant bunny and man, but mostly as the bunny 🐰 - Dual POV; HEA

📖And sure, I’ve never had the opportunity to mate on my holiday because I haven’t been lucky enough to meet my mate until now and yes, hearing about my humping holiday while my un-humped mate sits beside me will be tough.📖
Esther Basquette heads to Carrot Creek to help her sister, Chelsey ,prepare for the town’s annual Easter Eggstravaganza. But when she meets the hunky neighbor next door, Jack, her visit quickly takes an unexpected turn.
Jack is hiding a big secret—he’s a were-bunny. And for the first time, his bunny side, Hopper, has found their mate. While Hopper is bursting with excitement and eager to claim Esther, Jack is doing his best to keep his unusual nature under wraps.
The result is a funny, charming, and delightfully spicy holiday read. Jack and Hopper make an unforgettable combination: a sexy handyman, a giant fluffy bunny, and a carrot-obsessed shifter all rolled into one.
Of course, Esther and Jack face their fair share of challenges along the way—but with Easter in the air, their story hops toward a happily-ever-after.
Overall, this is a quick, charming, funny, and spicy read. With just a touch of taboo, it’s the perfect treat to devour during the Easter season.
Jack and Esther definitely put me in the Easter spirit. I would love to go to Carrot Creek! I mean, are there anymore were-bunnies out there?
Hopper was so much fun! This story was so fast-paced, filled with Easter puns and carrots. Out of all of the books I’ve read, I’ve never read a carrot used in such a way but it worked in this story! I loveddd the fated mates and the shifting! I’ve read many books by Daisy, and I think it’s safe to say, Daisy can write anything!
Jack Hopper has lived his whole life hiding his secret until one day Esther Basquette catches him with his cotton tail and fluffy ears. With the full moon almost here, will Esther accept her fate?
I loved these characters so much. Both characters were both so open and just quirky. They both had me laughing but also swooning!
This story was definitely a fun and wild ride! I haven’t read any Easter novellas, so this was definitely a first for me. I definitely recommend checking it out!
Tropes: Shapeshifter MMC (were-bunny) Neighbors to lovers Small town Easter themes
Jack Hopper hides his were-bunny nature from the world, but when Esther Basquette arrives to help revive a small town Easter festival, his carefully guarded life starts to unravel in the best way. Its been a while since reading a Daisy Jane book and it was Easter themed I said say less. Was it unique? Yes? The dad jokes and puns. I mean the main characters names Esther Basquette and Jack Hopper and other Easter themes in the novella, This was a definitely entertaining quick read.
The pun-heavy humor and unique premise make it memorable, even if it’s a bit over-the-top at times. A fun, festive novella that’s perfect for a quick escape.
I gave it five stars because it was well written and I love daisy Jane. Do I love the story? I don't know. It was very different, and I don't know what else to say. Lots of puns and dad joke type things...I mean her name is basically Easter basket lol. Is this the best read of the year? No. Was it funny and a good distraction this evening? Yes. If you want a bananas Easter were-bunny romance you've found it 😂
Daisy Jane is one of my favs, so I went into this novella already knowing it would be a fun read & I was definitely right! 😁
It felt more like a playful, entertaining escape than a serious story, which honestly made it even more fun to read! It’s quick, spicy & perfect when you just want something light you can breeze through in one sitting. Daisy Jane always knows how to deliver a good time, and this one definitely did that!
I don't recall ever reading an Easter type book especially one that is a shifter involved! Daisy Jane I honestly wish there was more of this book because I devoured it last night! if you want a romance book that makes you life and even swoon for a bunny iykyk 🤣 then you better go add this to your TBR for easter next month!
This one is so unserious and I really love that. And even though I was laughing a majority of the time (and cringing a little at the puns), there is a sweet, small town story here with plenty of Daisy Jane spice. By the way, you're going to have to be really okay with instalove on both sides to enjoy this one.
This was surprisingly tamer than I thought it would be and the spicy scenes that were in it were odd for me. The positions didn’t make sense at times and a furry p*nis? Really?
Definitely a one of a kind read and a one time read.
I absolutely loved this. I was so unsure about a were-bunny story would be, but let's be honest, Daisy Jane wrote it, so it's incredible. It's short, it's spicy, it's funny, and its everything you could ask for a spicy Easter read 🤪🤪
This is a “were-bunny” shifter, cute-hot, silly-romantic story. And I absolutely LOVED IT!!! Funny, silly, Easter fun theme, a wee touch of naughty (adult) shenanigans, and a fantastic HEA 🪻🐇🥕🐇🪻 💚💜💛🧡🩵🩷 “That bunny… winked at me?” “Bunnies can’t wink. Can they?”
When I saw Daisy was writing a were-bunny holiday themed novella, I got SO excited. this was adorable, and over the top in the best way. I laughed so many times, and the spice was great! if you're in the mood for a fluffy (and furry) little treat, definitely pick this one up!
This is a funny bunny romance. 🤣 if you want to add a little spice to the Easter holiday this is a great choice. Light hearted, small town vibes, plenty of the Easter theme throughout.
I love uncommon shifter stories but this one was just too silly. It felt like borderline furry romance. The characters were too campy - I felt like I was stuck in a n adult version of Lazytown. The Easter thing being an aphrodisiac was weird. The spice wasn’t even hot.
So adorable! Hot and adorable. It was like a spicy you know what channel love story. I could envision it all just like one of their shows. I’m so glad I read this quick sweet, hot read. I also love the surprise helper. Would read again.
